Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Crease

Sorry, but I am not really a fan of these brushes. I use the bigger one for crease color, and I find it does not apply eyeshadow evenly and it is a little too stiff and scratchy. The smaller one is an okay brush, I mainly use it to apply eyeshadow on my lower lid and to smudge eyeliner. These brushes are not terrible, but I would not purchase them again.

Blush -Meow Cosmetics - Masterpiece Blush in Starry Night

A very beautiful peachy blush on my pale, neutral toned skin (I'm a Sleek Siamese in Meow Foundation). In the sample baggie it looked like it would be too warm and peachy for my skin (many peachy blushes don't look so good on my very fair skin, I am usually more of a pink blush girl) but on my cheeks it looked great. It is not super pigmented, but for me that is a good thing because you can't really apply too much. I can see it being too light for dark skin tones but on my pale skin it is the perfect peachy blush! I also like that it got a matte finish, shimmery blushes tend to not look so good on my oily skin. I like this blush so much I think I'll buy a fullsize, but first I want to try other Meow blushes!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Volume

My favorite everyday mascara! My lashes get volume and some length and it doesn't flake during the day, and it is very easy to remove. Love it! Though if you love super dramatic lashes, it might not be the best mascara for you.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set

This is a nice brush set if you don't want brushes in natural hair. My favorite of the brushes is the angled brush, I use it everyday to do my eyebrows and it is great for that. I haven't tried it for eyeliner, I prefer a pointed brush for that purpose. The blush brush is nice and soft, but way too big t give any precision for your blush. I much prefer to use an angled blush brush, and since I bought my angled blush brush from Sephora I haven't used my EcoTools blush brush. I might try it for powder though, it is so soft and fluffy so it would be a shame to not use it for something. I'm not a fan of the eyeshadow brush, I want my eyeshadow brushes to be in natural hair. I think I have only used it once, because I love my MAC 239 too much to use anything else. The concealer brush is alright, I haven't really used it a lot. I prefer to use the applicator of my MUFE HD Concealer to dot it under my eyes and then blend it out with my fingers. I'm going to try the concealer brush with mineral concealer, it might work better for that purpose. I don't really use the eyebrow brush/eyelash comb thing, so I don't have anything to say about it. I really like some of the brushes in this set, but I don't think I would buy it again if I lost it. I probably would buy the angled brush seperate, because it is really nice. I'm a fan of brushes in natural hair, such as MAC brushes, but if you're not, this would be a good basic set of brushes for both eyes and face,

Polishes -OPI - Yodel Me On My Cell
majanoren 5/1/2011 3:20:00 PM
Yodel Me On My Cell is a shimmery dark turquoise blue polish from OPI's Fall Collection 2010, the Swiss Collection. It applies quite well, but you need at least three coats to achieve opacity. I used three coats and still had VNL. It dries fairly quickly with Seche Vite as top coat, but when it had dried I discovered bald spots in my polish. I don't know if it was caused by my Seche Vite top coat or the nail polish. Next day I added another coat of polish and top coat and it looked much better. I'm not totally in love with the color though, it seems a little flat and lacks depth. It is darker on the nails than it is in the bottle, and not as sparkly. I wouldn't buy this color again, there is much better OPI polishes out there.
