Conditioner -Organix - Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment
rated 4 of 5

I just used this this morning - I didn't go with the shower cap & hot towel method, rather I just tied up my hair, and my hair is now soft and smooth! And there seem to be a little less frizz than usual. Definitely a nice treatment mask for the price (I believe I paid about $7 at my local CVS).

Styling Products -Bumble & Bumble - Styling Lotion

To be honest I'm not exactly sure what this product is supposed to do, however the reason I use it is to define my curls/waves better. I usually spray this all over the bottom half of my hair after blow drying, and it gives me cute, messy-looking curls/waves. I already have curly/wavy hair to begin with, so I'm not sure about how it would work for straight hair...although judging by the other reviews this product seems to work for a variety of things :)

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Nourishing Color Creme in 415 Raspberry Truffle - Soft Mahogany Dark Brown
rated 4 of 5
maiw 9/25/2011 3:41:00 PM

My natural hair color is a dull, dark brown, so over the summer I decided to liven it up a bit by coloring it a shade lighter. I have used Garnier Nutrisse Raspberry Truffle twice now, and for some reason each time instead of it going a shade lighter like I thought it would, it goes a shade darker! The first time I colored my hair I was a bit concerned about how it'd look, but I ended up loving my new color. It doesn't seem to do too much damage to my hair and the smell goes away by the third wash. I took a lippie off, though, because it seems like the color starts fading away pretty quickly. Usually a week after coloring I start noticing the difference. It could be my fault though, because I don't go out of my way to use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. Either way I love this.

Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Organic Olive Moisturising Face Lotion
rated 1 of 5
maiw 1/9/2011 2:31:00 PM

I bought this on the whim along with the toner. I'm so disappointed with this, since I've had good experiences with other L'Occitane products. This makes my face so oily and I think it made the appearance of my skin worse; I've developed bumps on the bridge of my nose and my forehead. I also cannot stand the smell.

Toners -L'Occitane - Olive Tree Organic Toning Mist
rated 3 of 5

I bought this product on the whim because I've had good experiences with other L'Occitane products. I really wanted to like this but I can't. I'm not sure what this product is doing to/for my face but I do know that it makes my face a little more oily than it is on it's own and I cannot stand the smell. I hold my breath when I use this. This isn't as bad as the moisturizer from the same line, though. I will not repurchase.

Top/Base Coats -Nailtek - Foundation II - Ridge-filling
rated 2 of 5
maiw 1/9/2011 2:20:00 PM

I bought this after reading all the good reviews. I was hoping this would strengthen my nails because they are prone to breakage. Unfortunately for me, this did not work. I don't think this made my nails break even more, however it certainly did not prevent it from breaking. Although this was the case for me, I gave it two lippies because it seems to be working for my mom. Her nails seem to be strong and her ridges are not visible anymore.

Treatments -Creative Nail Design - Cuticle Eraser
rated 3 of 5
maiw 12/9/2010 11:28:00 PM

I'm sad to say this didn't quite work for me. Cuticle removers weren't getting the job done (Blue Cross and CND Cuticle Remover) so I was excited to try this out after reading the reviews. What I was looking for in this product was the "no-cuticle" effect that my nail idols have (Scrangie, Lacquerized., etc.). Based on the product's name and everyone's reviews, I thought this would be a strong contender. However, after weeks of using Cuticle Eraser twice a day (once in the morning after I shower, and once at night before going to bed), I still had visible cuticles. The only time this worked for me was when I trimmed the cuticles on one of my fingers (Yes, just one. I promise!) and the Cuticle Eraser slowed down the cuticle growth on that one finger. Even though this barely worked for me, I will repurchase once my tube runs out because this does a damn good job at moisturizing my cuticles, and even more so when combined with Solar Oil.

Conditioner -Dove - Daily Treatment Conditioner, Intensive Repair
rated 4 of 5
maiw 10/26/2010 2:06:00 PM

I just recently began using this product and I like it so far. My hair feels so smooth, which surpised me for a drugstore brand, and it smells great. This product comes in an easy-to-use tube packaging and it was easy to wash it out of my hair. My only concern is after reading the other reviews, I noticed many people saying that this stops working/causes buildup after some time. I certainly hope not, because I think this is my new go-to conditioner. Edit: After finding out that Dove/Unilever conducts animal testing, I will not be repurchasing. What a shame :(

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri in Quick Sand
rated 2 of 5
maiw 10/21/2010 9:47:00 PM

I bought this polish to try out my mannequin hands with. The brush is very hard to work with. It was too wide and didn't pick up enough polish. The polish itself was streaky and would not smoothen out on my nails. I needed at least 3 coats to make my nails look decent, at best. Overall it was a waste of money!

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain
rated 4 of 5
maiw 10/18/2010 11:43:00 AM

I bought this lipstain when I had a coupon for CVS. The price surpised me a bit; I didn't expect it to cost as much as it did. However, I have not had any problems with this product so far. I don't wear makeup but I wanted something I can wear everyday that will give my lips a little bit of color, and this lipstain did just that. The only downside is if you're a lip picker, like me. This lipstain looks terrible if your lips are dry, cracked, or picked at.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Problem Cuticle Remover
rated 1 of 5
maiw 8/16/2010 9:45:00 AM

This didn't do much for me. It softened my cuticles, but it did not dissolve or remove any like I hoped. The only positive is that it smells pleasant and it's compact. Like another poster mentioned, I think I will use this to exfoliate my cuticles but once I use it up, I will not be repurchasing.

Treatments -Clinique - Acne Solutions Night Treatment Gel
rated 4 of 5
maiw 8/16/2010 9:34:00 AM

I'm very upset to learn that this is discontinued! This was the only thing that cleared up my forehead during my early teens when I was acne prone. Now in my early twenties, I don't need this too often but it works wonders with the occasional bump on my chin or forehead. This product came in a gel form and you only need a small amount because it spreads so nicely. The smell isn't so nice but bareable. Overall a great product that I'll definitely miss.

Polishes -Misa - Dirty Sexy Money
rated 5 of 5
maiw 8/15/2010 8:23:00 PM

My favorite color at the moment. As everyone else mentioned, this dusty teal color would look good on a variety of skin tones. Application was a breeze; it was opaque in two coats. I had no issues with the formula and although I wish the brush was a little more thicker, it was easy to work with. I love this color and it will probably be my go-to color for the remainder of summer!

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream
rated 5 of 5
maiw 8/15/2010 6:57:00 PM

Love this hand cream! I worked at a bakery for 2 years where I had to constantly wash containers and whatnot, which resulted in my hands becoming permanently dry without lotion. It's not so bad that my skin cracks, but it is very uncomfortable, so I need to apply lotion on my hands a couple times a day. This product is great. It took some getting used to at first because it is pretty thick unlike most lotions I've tried, but it mosturizes deeply. The only thing I would change about this product is its price. I bought my first and current tube at a discount outlet for $10 so I'm not sure how much it normally is, but $10 was still a bit expensive for a poor college student like myself. However, next time I go to the outlet I will definitely buy another tube. :)
