I was looking for a well priced dry shampoo because I do only wash my hair once a week and I needed something for when my hair was feeling extra greasy. I went to Sallys and picked this up, it was super cheap so that was great. I sprayed a bit on my roots, massaged it into my scalp and then brushed it out. It worked very well, I felt fresher and it did not leave my hair brittle and hard or with a grey cast like some dry shampoos do. I also really like the smell of it compared to other dry shampoos. For the people getting bad results maybe try spraying your hair from further away? If you are spraying too close it makes sense why your hair is feeling gross and dry. I'd recommend this to anyone!
So I was looking for something that could help with some spots of mine. I don't have super terrible acne but I do get some painful zits here and there. I do NOT use this all over my face because it is very, very strong and drying. I use this as strictly a spot treatment and I really like it. I had a giant cystic pimple and I applied this for a couple days and it dramatically reduced the size of the pimple. It also zaps away normal zits in a day, it doesn't completely get rid of it but it dries them out and makes them very small which is awesome. I wish that I could use this during the daytime but it dries white and flaky so I use it before I sleep. But if I really need acne relief for the day I mix it with moisturizer and it's all good. I would recommend this to people that get those annoying zits that just don't go away with acne face washes, this really does help. I would repurchase this.
So I have a ton of eyeshadows from pinks to browns to blues etc but this eyeshadow is super special. I was in the MAC store and swatched this and walked around looking at other shades but I kept looking at this colour on my hand and I thought it was SO beautiful. It is a purple with pinkish and light blue tones to it, it is super unique. I applied it onto the lid and used a brown colour in the crease (something like wedge or soft brown by MAC) and it looked really lovely. If you wanna do something really fun you can play up the blue tones in the eyeshadow and use a turquoise colour in the crease or as a liner. This shadow is so versatile in what you can pair with it because it has so many different tones to it. You can even darken it with a really dark purple, black or brown for a night time look and it would look super sexy. This eyeshadow will especially make brown eyes pop and sparkle, it is so gorgeous. Please buy this shadow because there is NOTHING out there that is as beautiful as it is. I would recommend this to everyone.
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Makeup Dissolving Foaming Cleanser

My roommate recommended this face wash to me a long time ago and I was kind of skeptical about it. Usually face washes aren't that great at removing makeup but oh my goodness this stuff is excellent. It comes in a nice long bottle with a convenient foam pump. All you have to do it use this stuff on your face and especially focus on the eye area and in one wash your makeup is GONE. Even waterproof mascara is removed by this stuff, it is truly amazing. It is not drying at all, I use cetaphil after this and it does not irritate my skin using 2 different kinds of cleansers. You feel super fresh and it doesn't break you out at all. I recommend this to everyone because it is truly the easiest way to remove your makeup without tugging and rubbing on your skin.
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen SPF 60 with Helioplex

Since it is getting nicer out and I will be in the sun more often I decided to up the SPF with my face products. I bought this sunscreen for about $14 which is a decent price for a large bottle like this one. I wear this on top of my moisturizer in the morning and I haven't experience any white cast on my skin! Maybe since I use a very small amount and rub it in right away. It dries nice and matte and does not make my face feel greasy or oily at all. My primer and makeup glided nicely over this and it did not effect them negatively in any way. I am really liking this sunscreen, it hasn't clogged my pores or given me zits which is great since I am very acne prone and sensitive. I would recommend this to everyone for the summer time and really any time, you should always be protecting your skin!
My friend recommended this to me and I was kind of skeptical about it. I bought the smaller bottle to try it out for about $12 and I bought the medium to darker skin tone one. I exfoliated and shaved my legs in the shower and completely dried off before applying this. I evenly applied it to my whole body and I didn't really see an immediate result, but when I woke up the next morning OH MY GOD I had the most beautiful natural tan on my skin. I have been using it for a couple days now and it just looks so good! I love that I don't have to damage my skin with UV rays to get a sexy tan. My only complaint is that I wish it had a tropical smell like most self tanners do, this one just smells kinda bland. But yes I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice glow or to prolong an existing tan!!
Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Bare Again
magnifiquee 5/7/2013 3:09:00 PM
This was my first lipstick from MAC, I wanted a nice everyday colour that accentuated the natural colour of my lips. Sheen supreme lipsticks are very moisturizing, pigmented, and long lasting (considering how moist they are). The colour of this lipstick is a kind of pinky brown colour, a good nude for medium skinned women who think colours like angel (very light pinkish nudes) wash them out. I usually just swipe this on my lips for a nice toned down look or if I want it a little bit darker and fancier I use NYX chesnut lipliner and put this over it. A word of caution, exfoliate and moisturize your lips because this can settle into lines but it's not a huge deal. Definitely my favourite everyday lipstick and I WILL buy this again and recommend this to anyone who isn't into pinkier nudes and more into a brownish nude.
This is probably my favourite nailpolish EVER. It is such a gorgeous pastel lilac colour and looks beautiful on my olive skin and even better when you're tanned. You only need 2 coats for an opaque application and it is not streaky at all like some other pastel polishes. I always get compliments when I wear this colour and it is so pretty and feminine, I absolutely adore it.
This is one of my all time favourite eyeshadows, I am always grabbing for it when I'm doing my makeup. It is a soft and frosty pink-peach colour and it looks amazing on my NC25 skin. I can wear it everyday with a light brown in the crease like wedge by MAC or even with a light purpley colour like Haux by MAC. It can also be taken into a night time look with a dark brown or a gold colour, anything really. This colour brightens the eyes and is so versatile so I recommend it to everyone!!
So I saw a commerical for these Rimmel eyeshadow sticks on TV and thought the colours were beautiful. They are in the same kind of packaging as the NYX jumbo pencils which is alright, I mean it gives you the control of a pencil but the stick is so large you need a giant sharpener to get more product and I hate that. The price for these sticks is awesome, it's only around $5ish which is a great price for drugstore in Canada. It claims to be waterproof but it really wasn't that hard to wash off but it did leave a little bit of residue on my eye even after washing it. But the colour of this stick is such a gorgeous intense turquoise, no shimmer in it but it isn't matte, it's more of a satiny finish. It also glided on beautifully and you don't need to layer and layer and press hard to get the true colour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for creaseless beautiful eyeshadow sticks that can also be doubled as a base for eyeshadow for a good price!!
So I bought one of BeneFit's value sets, it's the Go TropiCORAL lip and cheek set. Coralista came with the set and I have heard so many great things about it I thought a sample size would be a better value than the actual product. Coralista on its own is way TOO expensive for what it is, it's $36!! It comes with a weird little brush that I thought would be useless but it is really great at putting on the perfect amount of blush! This blush is a nice sheer coral colour that leans tower the pinkier side of coral. It gives a nice sheen (instead of glitter that looks kinda tacky if not done right). I honestly don't need to use a highlight when I use this blush because it gives such an effortless glow! It especially looks nice on tanned skin, gives a sexy JLO feel. This is definitely a daytime and nighttime blush and is totally buildable as well if you like your blush heavier. I would recommend this to someone who is new to blush as it is sooo easy to apply and hard to overdo. I wish it was a bit cheaper but oh well!
So I was looking for a new hairspray and everyone on youtube was recommending this spray so I decided to go buy some. I got it from the drugstore and it was on sale for $14CAD which is still pretty steep for a drugstore brand. The bottle is super long and golden, it's really cute. I like the nozzle and have had no problems with it so far. I have very thick and long hair and it held my curls all day and did not make them sticky or crunchy or anything and it DID brush out at the end of the night. Also I love the smell, but then again I love the generic hairspray scent lol. I would definitely buy this again but only if it's on sale or I go to the states to get a cheaper price.
Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Infiniti You Curl No Clamp Curling Iron
magnifiquee 4/1/2013 10:45:00 PM
I just bought this from amazon, and I got the XL version. This curler is a wand so there is no clamp, which I love because I feel a clamp always leaves an ugly kink in the hair if you don't do it properly. I like how sleek the curler is and it isn't too bulky, I do wish the wire was longer, it's kind of short. It gets really hot and heats up VERY fast which is really good. It doesn't have an automatic shut off which kind of sucks but it's not a deal breaker for me. I have coarse and thick hair and this still curls my hair beautifully. I barely have to hold the hair for more than 10 seconds to get a perfect ringlet. I am in love with this curler, it works so well and for such a good price. I got it for $30 on amazon, and in walmart it's about $37CAD which is still a very good price in comparison to my Paul Mitchell curler and it does the same job. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a curler that inexpensive and does the job well.
I have been contemplating buying this product for a long time and was hesitant because I own a few primers and bases already. The hype finally sucked me in and I bought it, typical me haha. This colour is a nice flesh colour and it comes in a very sturdy jar, almost like MAC's gel liner container but way bigger. When I first ran my finger along the top it felt kind of dry which freaked me out because I thought it would be creamier, but it was super creamy once I patted it on my eye. I hae really oily eyelids and only UDPP would help and sometimes it wouldn't even do anything for me. I tried this on and not only did my eyeshadows POP like crazy it made them easier to blend and last ALL DAY. I did not crease at all, my eyeshadows looked so fresh and gorgeous as if I just applied it. I don't know why it took me so long to buy this but I will definitely buy this again. I'm not sure how long it'll be before I finish this because it has a lot of product and a little goes a longgg way with this. Definitely worth the steep price ($25CAD) because it'll probably last forever.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Edgy Emerald
magnifiquee 3/26/2013 4:14:00 PM
So everyone on youtube is just raving on and on about these color tattoos and I decided to give in and grab some. I already have tough as taupe which I love and they didn't have bad to the bronze so I grabbed this one and didn't really expect much. I really love this colour, it is a nice emerald colour which is kinda blueish but more green. I used it as a liner on top of my black liner and it really makes my brown eyes POP! I haven't used this as a all over lid colour but I'm sure it'll be just as beautiful. It goes on very creamy and dries nicely but the only bad thing when I used it as a liner is that I really had to pack it on to get the colour I wanted. It's okay though since it's such a beautiful colour. This product is pretty inexpensive and you do get quite a bit in the container so I say it's worth the buy. I would definitely get this again and recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun with some colour.
