Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Tough as Taupe

I'm sorry to bring down the score guys, but I don't like these at all. I think a lot of the love is because of the price, and hype. These are ridiculously heavy. Tough as taupe is the exact same color as my weekly mud mask, not something I want to wear all the time. The shadow looks heavy, and i look made-up wearing it. But worse, it FEELS so heavy. I have to make an effort to keep my eye lids open. As if I were about to go to bed. Not something i want to deal with all day. Plus my eye lids keep sticking to my brow bone when i open them 'too wide'.

Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Angelica Hydration Cream

I got it as a free gift for a promotion they were doing, and it is DIVINE. It leaves a matte verging on dewy finish. It soaks into my skin almost immediately (which NEVER happens with other ones), and leaves a light-from-within glow. It completely combats my dry skin, without causing any oiliness on my oily areas (I'm comination). And (and this is a big and) it doesn't cause a reaction or breakouts!!! Every other moisturizer I tried has been greasy, sat on my skin, burned or broke me out. This is a goldmine! My skin has never been so plump. It feels 'juicy', and delightfully soft and smooth. The minute I run out, I will repurchase. And I'll keep the mini jar to use for traveling. If you're worried about the jar being unsanitary, just use a spatula to remove product. There is a light "green"/plant smell, but it fades in less than a minute, and I stopped noticing it at all after about a week. I just wanted to share because it's been a long journey, and maybe this will help someone.

Liquid -Smashbox - Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Fdt.

This product is amazing for full coverage if that's what you're looking for. I'm giving it four lippies because it is amazing for that. Unfortunately, it was just not for me. I felt like I was wearing a mask, and that's not the look I'm going for. Trying chanel next. I do rec though if you want a long-wearing even-looking full coverage foundation.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 2 of 5
magicpeach10 6/21/2012 2:04:00 PM

Not sure why there are so few reviews on this? I liked it overall. I felt like it created a smooth canvas, and didn't aggravate my acne, like everything else does. However, I had several people comment on the "dead skin" on my face. I don't have dry skin, and I used a primer, and it still clung to any flakes I had like nobody's business, I'm taking 2 lippies off for that because it happened more than once and it was highly embarassing. I also had people talk about my acne, and made suggestions without my asking. Again, embarassing. I'm not sure if the foundation didn't cover well, or if it emphasized the acne, another lippie off for that. It transfrerred really easily, but I didn't set with powder, so I guess that's my bad? I have to say with all the rude critiques people were giving me without my consent, I'm going to try something else next. Probably chanel?

I saw no difference when using it with my foundation, and even felt like maybe it was the reason my foundation was transferring.

Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes
rated 1 of 5
magicpeach10 6/21/2012 1:47:00 PM

I just a saw a review saying they were shedding lashes because of this product. I thought it was just me!! As a mascara, it's a little goopy, but it does curl which is nice. I actually quite like the way it looked overall. But I can't stomach losing lashes. I'm afraid long-term use would cause them to all eventually fall out or stop growing. I like the way this mascara looks, but I can't rec. Also I hate the packaging.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
rated 1 of 5
magicpeach10 6/21/2012 1:45:00 PM

I'm not a blush person, so I may be biased here. I found it to be too shimmery, and too peach. I thought it would literally give me a slight orgasm glow, but I looked like I was flushing from embarassment. I actually quite liked the elf version. I'm trying a lorac blush next to see if it gives the subtle glow I'm looking for. Plus the packaging is horrendous!! I will never buy another nars product for this reason alone. I couldn't stand how everything immdiately looked dirty, and continued to look dirty no matter what I did. UGH!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Preen

I actually got the pony shadow box, which is the exact same palette in different packaging on amazon for under 30 bucks! It has 4 of my favorite colors, one I never considered, and only one dud (2 if you count the liner) If you want to know who I bought from, pm me! For me it was a steal because I was able to get so many of the colors I love for so cheap! Oh and the pony shadow box has bizarre packaging. It has a nice sleek shape and is pretty small for holding 6 shadows and an eyeliner. Most people would find the harsh drawings creepy, but I quite like it!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Toasted

Hands down best eyeshadow I ever bought. It is slightly red, so it looks great on my skintone and eye color. It of course is like butter and blends well. I love that it's beige with a hint of shimmer, and a pink undertone. I think it makes it versatile. And It's so easy to throw this on with nothing else!!

A real UD dud! l think the pink is quite lovely, and maybe scratch would be close? But the glitter makes it impossible to wear for day, which is what I would want it for.

I love the color and the product is lovely. I got it in a palette, and despite having brown eyes, I can't seem to get this to look good, so one lippie off for that

I have never found a green shadow that I wanted to wear with my brown eyes....until now. This stuff is amazing. It works great for a smokey eye too, with smog in the crease. I love it!

I am so in love with this eyeshadow. I would marry it if I could. It is a wonderful purple for day. I think it would really make green and hazel eyes pop. Personally I have brown eyes, and I have no clue if it does anything to make them prettier. I just love wearing this! I put this on the lid, and roach in the crease.
