Polishes -Nicole - Kardashian Color - Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi
magginine 2/5/2012 8:43:00 PM
A very pretty bright orangey red that goes on nicely. It took 2 coats but for complete opacity I could've gone for a third coat. Used OPI Nail Envy as a base and topped off with Seche Vite. I like that the application was smooth, not thick and goopey. The brush is very nice, wide and flat. I usually don't get more than three days to any manicure as I can't stand any wear at the free edge but I'll see how this wears and update. Based on application and color, I would repurchase.

Blush -NYX - Mocha
magginine 1/16/2012 11:06:00 PM
This is one of my fav blushes ever. I have worn this to my local MAC store and have had more than one SA compliment me and ask what blush I'm wearing. It's matte, highly pigmented and a plummy berry color that complements my golden olive skin beautifully. I use a light hand when applying and it looks great both on it's own or with a shimmery highlight. Winner winner chicken dinner!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - Light Flush
magginine 11/11/2011 10:14:00 PM
The tones of this really complement my skin and makes me look glowy and radiant. I get a lot of compliments on my skin when I wear it. It definitely has a pink gold glow. Definite shimmer, not too much for me but I use it lightly on top of my cheekbones. Love this very much.

Polishes -Lippmann Collection - Bitches Brew
magginine 11/10/2011 5:59:00 PM
WOW! This is the first Deborah Lippmann polish I've ever bought and it's so worth the money. The quality is far superior to OPI, Essie, Orly and CG. It went on very smoothly and covered very well. This color is a gorgeous deep burgundy wine with a subltle golden shimmer. Very sophisticated and sexy. I'm absolutely blown away by the amazing-ness that is DL and I'm buying more of these babies.

Polishes -Essie - Bahama Mama
magginine 11/9/2011 10:46:00 AM
This took 3 coats to get it on without streaks and opaque. I love Essie polishes in general, the brush being small works for me. I only wish they would make a flat brush, it would make it easier to get down the sides of my nails evenly. This color is right up my alley, rich dark gorgeous plum. I never get more than 2 days out of a polish change, they all chip on me, even with Seche Vite or any other great top coat. This one gave me 4 glorious days chip free!! For this reason I will repurchase it again and again.

Lipstick -MAC - Pro Longwear Lustre - Night Rose
magginine 5/20/2010 5:02:00 AM
I picked this up for my pro kit with brides in mind and I was not disappointed. The color is extremely flattering and with the gloss that comes with it, it takes on a great sparkly shimmer. For a more subdued look, I use either a clear or less sparkly gloss on top. Long lasting yet comfortable on the lips. Would repurchase over and over again!

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipstick - Warm Me Up
magginine 5/14/2010 10:50:00 PM
I reach for this lipstick all the time. I'm pretty tan so this is a MLBB shade that is warm enough for me and has enough color to it without being too dark. Like the consistency too.

Conditioner -Joico - Moisture Recovery
magginine 2/6/2010 8:10:00 AM
My HG conditioner. My hairstylist told me about this product when I was complaining that Redken All Soft was doing nothing but weighing my hair down. She said this was the closest to the conditioner that comes in the boxed hair dye kits...I was sold when she said that! It's lightweight, does a fanatastic job of detangling and hydrating, and gets it ready for my leave-in (Moroccan Oil). Would my hair be soft and silky using just this and skipping the Moroccan Oil? I'm not sure but I do know that I'm not interested in trying other conditioners as I feel this one gave me the best results I ever had.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Airy Fairy
magginine 1/31/2010 11:14:00 PM
Ok, the packaging does suck, mine actually fell apart where the tube separated BUT, and this is a huge BUT....this is a phenomenal lipstick!! I find myself reaching for it every day. I line my lips first with Milani Almost Nude and then Airy Fairy topped off with a light pink gloss and my lips look super full and the color is so flattering on my medium-tan olive skin. The texture is nice too, not drying, creamy. I've seen where people compare this to Viva Glam V but this is so nice that even though I've tried VGV, I don't feel the need for it when I have AF. Will def repurchase over and over.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Nude Delight
magginine 1/31/2010 9:36:00 PM
I absolutely love this nude lipstick. It strikes the perfect balance of nude yet alive. It's not flat, not dead, not ashy...just a gorgeous fleshy color with amazing creamy texture and moisture. Would buy it over and over again!

Eye Shadow -Sleek - idivine palette
magginine 1/20/2010 2:34:00 PM
These are just as wonderful as the reviews indicate! I was fortunate enough to swap with a wonderful UK'er for the Storm and Original palettes and between the two, I have all the colors I need for most looks I will do. Texture is divine, blendability excellent, pigmentation intense, packaging very solid for the price. I am travelling for 2 months this year and the first thing I thought while swatching these was "these are the only palettes I'm taking with me!" While the original has some fun greens and blues along with other great shades, the storm palette has matte black, dark brown, taupe, along with highlight shades and darker smokey shades. These are PERFECT!!!

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
magginine 1/7/2010 9:43:00 PM
What's not to love about this? I had to buy it when I saw a review that Elainey007 had done on youtube and I'm so glad I did! Great glow with this foundation, good coverage without looking cakey. Very buildable, lots of time to work with it, unlike colorstay which sets very quickly. Very blendable, I can wear a couple of shades very easily. Got it in 008 golden beige but 006 medium beige also works for me. I had tried Nars sheer glow and was lemming that for a while but now am perfectly happy with this instead and I saved a ton of money. Some people have complained about glitter in this foundation but there is nothing obnoxious or glittery about it. It's just a slight shimmer that I find very lovely and flattering. A winner from Revlon!

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+
magginine 11/8/2009 10:18:00 PM
As a mua, I have this in my kit and I use it on every client I work on. I use it to dampen the sponge when I blend foundation to give a more natural look, to dampen my brush for mineral shadows and pigments and also to set the look when I'm done. It restores a dewiness to the skin and eliminates the powdery look. I will buy this again and again for my kit. My only complaint is that the spray pump doesn't work as effectively as the product gets low. Rather than spraying a fine mist, it sometimes spits out unevenly but not a major problem.

Pressed Powders -Napoleon Perdis - Camera Finish
magginine 9/16/2009 9:10:00 AM
I have this in my kit in looks 2 and 4 and when i apply with a powder brush, they are pretty universally good on most skin tones. Gives a beautiful flawless coverage without looking cakey. Have bought backups as I got these on 75% off offer so for me they were a great deal. I don't know if I would pay full price as they are very expensive and I could manage with other powders at a lesser cost. Packaging is sleek but rather large. For me, these powders were a great buy!
