Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara

I really like this mascara. It has better ingredients than most drugstore brands, the tube looks really cool, and it gives a natural, not-overdone look. The only complaint I have is that it smudges SO easily. I can't touch my eyes at all while wearing this, or the mascara will be all over the place. It is very easily removed though, all I have to use is water. I would buy again because of the ingredients list and the natural look it gives.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Juice Organics PomSmooth Shampoo

I love this shampoo and the matching conditioner. The shampoo smells a lot better than the conditioner, which has an odd smell. It cleans without stripping my already coarse, dry hair. I also love the ingredients list, since I buy mostly natural products. The only complaint I have about this product is the packaging. It comes in a tube. The shampoo is very runny, and you have to make sure you aren't holding the tube facing the floor, or a ton of product will run out at once. The tube is fine for the conditioner since it is so thick, but I wish they would change the packaging for the shampoo. But still, I give this product 5 stars, and I will be buying again.

I absolutely love this conditioner! It is so thick and creamy, and it moisturizes my hair better than anything else I've used lately. It doesn't smell great, but the smell doesn't stay in my hair. My hair is silky smooth after I wash this out. I buy mostly organic and natural products, and the ingredients in this are great. I feel good about using this product. I got this and the matching shampoo from drugstore.com for around $8.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk
rated 4 of 5

I was very surprised by this haircolor. I was scared it was going to leave my hair in horrible condition, considering how cheap it is. I was also worried about the color not turning out how I wanted it to. But, here I sit with the exact color I wanted, and my hair is in the same condition it was in before I colored it! I will definitely buy this again. For reference, I bought the medium ash blonde shade. I also didn't use the conditioner that came with the dye, and I applied a bit of coconut oil to my hair before I put the color on, as that always seems to help with the condition of my hair afterwards.

Styling Products -Shea Moisture - Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk
rated 5 of 5

This is the best leave-in product I've ever used on my hair. I have thick, wavy, kind of frizzy blonde hair. I only use natural products, but I've had horrible luck finding a natural leave-in for my hair. I found this in Sally's, in the ethnic hair section. It smells amazing, so I bought it. I washed my hair the next day, put this in, and let it air dry. My hair was perfectly smooth! I was so surprised. I will always buy this when I run out.

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Pressed Powder
rated 4 of 5
maggiealisa 4/17/2013 3:19:00 PM

Unlike the other reviewers, I really like this pressed powder. I use only mostly natural products. I have been using Pur Minerals pressed powder in Porcelain, which was a perfect match for my skin tone, and made my face look great. But with a $30 price tag, and how it only lasted me about 4-5 weeks, I had to find something a bit cheaper. I bought Physician's Formula Organic Wear in Translucent Fair, hoping for the best. When I got it and tried it out, I was pleasantly surprised. It went on smoothly and matched my skin tone perfectly. I'm so happy that I've found a cheaper, but still natural pressed powder.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aztec - Indian Healing Clay

I love this stuff! I originally tried it with raw organic apple cider vinegar, but I HATE the smell of that stuff. It literally makes me nauseous. Then I tried it with water, but it just turned it into a clumpy mess. Finally, I tried it with 50/50 lemon juice and water, and it gave me the same mousse like texture that the ACV did, but with a much better smell. I love how this stuff feels on my face as it is drying. For only $7, this was a steal.

Moisturizers -Derma E - Very Clear Problem Skin Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
maggiealisa 3/20/2013 10:57:00 PM

I like this stuff. I had been looking for a good moisturizer that didn't contain any bad chemicals, and that would also help with my occasional acne. I use pure tea tree oil all the time on my face and it really helps, so the main reason I bought this was because of the tea tree oil in it. This product feels really nice on my skin. It isn't greasy or sticky at all to me, and I'm usually pretty weird about what I put on my face. I got this from Ulta for about $17. I think it will last for at least six months. I would buy again.

HG facial soap. Enough said. I love this stuff and my face is completely clear after months of drugstore brands and prescriptions.

Shampoo -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Cucumbers - Color Care Daily Makeover Shampoo
rated 5 of 5

HG shampoo, for sure. I have been slowly converting to natural products, and this is the best shampoo I have tried that doesn't contain parabens, sulfates, etc. It smells so fresh and clean, not overwhelming at all. My hair must love this stuff. I have really coarse, thick hair that is usually frizzy, but once I started using this shampoo along with the matching conditioner, my hair is smoother and silkier than it has ever been before. It also comes in a nice 16oz bottle, and I only paid $8.99 for it. Definitely will repurchase.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Creme Hair Remover for Face
rated 1 of 5

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy this. As I am typing this, I am sitting here with what feels like third degree chemical burns on my upper lip. Holy. Shit. That was the most painful thing I've ever done to my face. I'm sitting here with apricot oil slathered all over my face, hopefully it will combat the red, scaly, nastiness of what's left of my upper lip. I bought this on sale without reading the reviews on it. What a mistake. I'm mad that I wasted $2 on this. I couldn't imagine spending $8 just to have my face burned, and the hair not even affected.

Misc Beauty Tools -Olay - Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System
rated 5 of 5

Wow. This thing is amazing. I've been having problems with my oily face feeling really really rough. I regularly used scrubs, but that never seemed to help with the roughness. The first time I used this, my face felt softer than ever. I used it with Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap (which is also an amazing product) and my face looked and felt so clean. I would definitely by this again. I got it for $29.69 at Kroger. That's a great price, considering there are similar products out there for over $200. Oh, and I use this thing 2-3 times a day, and it has had no bad effect on my skin. That could be because my skin is crazy oily though.

Foundations -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin
rated 2 of 5
maggiealisa 9/9/2012 10:41:00 PM

I really thought this was going to be my HG foundation, but I was wrong. This is one of the only liquid foundations I have ever tried that was actually very close to my skin tone. The color was almost perfect. It helped a lot with my oily skin. But, I hated how heavy and cakey it was. It also caused me to break out horribly after about a week. I returned it and got my $12 back.

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear® Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder - Creamy Natural
rated 4 of 5
maggiealisa 9/9/2012 10:29:00 PM

I recently quit wearing liquid foundation because I have started breaking out pretty badly, and because I could never really find a shade that was light enough for my pale skin. I bought this powder with the hopes that it would cover up my bumps and marks, but still be light enough for my skin tone, unlike most powders that I've tried. This is perfect for my skin. It covers up my imperfections nicely, and matches my skin tone perfectly. The only complaint I have about this product is that the packaging is pretty sucky, and the brush that it comes with is horrible. I threw the brush away, and I just use a kabuki brush to apply it. Also, it's a bit pricey, around $14 at Walmart. I will buy again when I run out.

Gels/Soaps -Dr. Bronner's - Peppermint Castille Soap
rated 5 of 5
maggiealisa 9/9/2012 10:24:00 PM

This stuff is exactly what I was looking for. I have been searching for a soap that didn't contain any harmful or unnecessary chemicals, and also something I could use on my face that would help with the mild, occasional bumps I get. I finally found my HG product. This stuff doesn't leave any slimy residue behind like every other soap/face wash I have tried. It rinses off clean, and leaves behind a nice tingly feeling. I got a 16 ounce bottle from my local Kroger for $7.99. I will definitely buy this again. I want to try the almond scent next!
