Gels/Soaps -Softsoap - Mega Moisture Body Wash - Heavenly Vanilla
magentaray 5/16/2012 5:06:00 PM
Really love this. Lathers very well, rinses clean, no residue left behind, doubles as a bubble bath, love the scent. One flaw is the bottle. It needs to have flat top, not rounded, so it can be stored upside down. Consistency of the product is thick and creamy, and once I get close to the bottom it's hard to get it out.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Trance Essences- Abrey Rose
magentaray 5/15/2012 6:24:00 PM
I don't own this (name is Abbey Rose, not Abrey) but keep stopping by the store near me where it's sold for the tester. Lasts a good while on me. I like it the best of all the Trance Essence scents. Yeah, it's a spa kind of scent, and I love it. Mood lifting and relaxing. I think it's too expensive for the amount (small roll on is 38), so I doubt I'll buy it, but knowing notes I'm sure I'll find something like it but cheaper on etsy, they have many shops that sell essential oil based 'fumes.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
magentaray 5/14/2012 3:56:00 PM
May favorite mascara is Lancome Definicils, but since mascara needs to be replaced often I wanted to have a less expensive alternative. Tried many drugstore ones, and Voluminous ended up as one of the best for me, although I really liked Max Factor mascaras too, before they were gone from stores, and some Cover Girl ones. Voluminous I like because it gives me volume and length, even one coat is enough, while 2-3 give me false lash effect, dries pretty fast once applied, in spite of being a wet kind (the wand really needs to be wiped down before application), is not too heavy, so holds the curl well, and lashes remain relatively soft. Doesn't flake much, doesn't smudge on me, and is easy to remove. Would give it 5 if it wasn't so wet and wiping wand on a tissue wasn't necessary (with some mascaras it really isn't).

Concealers -Cle de Peau - concealer-ivory
magentaray 5/13/2012 10:41:00 PM
Ivory was a little too dark for me and concealer did an ok job (under eye and whatever facial redness), didn't cause any breakouts, minimal creasing. There are some drugstore concealers I used before and after this one that I like way more. Could be much better for the price. I got it as a gift and couldn't return, so I kept using it even though it wasn't right enough, got half way through and moved on to something else.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Lip Lacquer in Eros
magentaray 5/13/2012 9:17:00 PM
Very beautiful color, felt good on the lips, lasted long enough. But after a few months it turned rancid and I had to throw it away. It was kept with my other make up (a lot of which was much older and still fine), in a cool dry dark place (although after this happened I moved it all to a fridge), none of the other lip products ever went bad on me, including those that were a pot as well. I always closed the lid tightly, and mostly used a lip brush to apply. I didn't even use it often, it was my special occasion gloss. Something must have happened with preservatives. Or maybe there's only enough of them for one pot to last a very short while. And it really would be better in a squeeze tube, or whatever other packaging would minimize its exposure to the air. Color is so lovely though I can't give it less than 3, even though it ended up wasted money and I'm afraid to repurchase it now.

Blush -Stila - Convertible Color Fuschia
magentaray 5/12/2012 2:18:00 PM
Gives me the perfect 'just in from the cold' look. Stays on reasonable amount of time for a cream blush. No break outs from it. Very intense in the pan, but on skin looks very natural and translucent. Finish is perfect, looks just like blushing skin and nothing more (which is why I prefer creams to powders). Texture is a bit hard and waxy, at least compare to some cream blushes I have, but don't have a problem with application. Goes on smoothly, easy to spread. Packaging is great, love that it's flip top, love the mirror, and flat tin makes for easy storage.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Whole foods tangerine lip balm
magentaray 5/10/2012 6:22:00 PM
Love! Flavor is very refreshing and not artificial at all, I don't like minty balms but get bored with all the vanilla ones I have, so tangerine is perfect. Great texture, neither too soft, nor too hard or waxy, just right. Moisturizes very well, stays on probably the longest of all the balms I've used. And costs 2 bucks, even less when on sale. HG.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Attar Bazaar - Nour
magentaray 5/10/2012 6:05:00 PM
I kept putting off buying this, because it seemed like too much money for such small size, it's a dram, and I didn't like the open top bottle, would prefer if it was a roll on. But whenever I was at the store I'd sniff it and invariably thought it's such an amazing scent. Reminds me of an expensive French soap (someone else may have described it this way too, I just can't think of more perfect words myself). So I bought it. Still love it. Lasting power is mediocre though.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Auric Blends - Love
magentaray 5/10/2012 5:52:00 PM
I used to not like most of the musks, didn't like Egyptian Goddess, but love this. Skin scent, clean with some sweetness. I keep sniffing my wrist when I wear it, can't get enough.

Love this. To me it's a clean shampoo/just out of the shower scent. Many people might disagree, but this is just the impression I get every time I smell/wear it. Sweet and clean.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Auric Blends - Black Opium
magentaray 5/10/2012 5:36:00 PM
It's very much like YSL Opium, but I like this better. YSL is too much for me, while this I find more wearable. Good strength and lasting power. Auric Blend roll on bottles are very good quality too, none I have gotten ever leak, while many etailer roll ons I have manage to leak even when standing upright.

Fragrances -Burberry - Brit
magentaray 5/10/2012 4:44:00 PM
Brit, both women's and men's versions, is my favorite Burberry scent. I used to love the original Burberry years ago, but got too used to it, I guess, and it lost its magic. Tried all the others from this brand and didn't like any of them, just Brit. It's my comfort scent. If men's version makes me think of a dark blue/grey, soft, luxurious oversized cashmere sweater, wearing it while sitting in front of a fireplace at the beach house, on a cool overcast day, then women's makes me envision the same kind of sweater but in ivory/cream. Both are just so warm and comfy.

Fragrance -Burberry - Brit for Men
magentaray 5/10/2012 4:19:00 PM
I love women's version, and I love this just as much. I'm a female and don't find this overly masculine, so use it myself. I love and wear many scents meant for men. This one is among my favorites, dark and cozy, very comforting, but also subtly sexy and mysterious. At Nordstroms Rack it's around 33 bucks for 1oz, as opposed to regular price of 45, so not bad.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup
magentaray 5/9/2012 10:58:00 PM
Instant break outs. I don't remember if any other product gave be zits right away like this has. Lightest shade was actually very good, light enough for my fair skin and neutral, which is a rarity to come by, so many are too pink or too yellow, but that's the only good thing about it. When I looked at myself in a mirror from afar it looked ok, when I came closer it was horrible. It pooled into my pores, accentuated them (and my pores are not even big and normally barely visible), and made my skin look bumpy and uneven toned in general, which is funny since foundation supposed to do the opposite. Packaging is crap. Too much came out with just one pump and 'Highly flammable' warning made me a little nervous to keep this in my house lol. To be fair, I guess for this type of product there must have been no other way to package it.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Bathed and Infused Body Lotion
magentaray 5/9/2012 10:20:00 PM
I have so many of them (2oz) I lost count. Whenever there's a sale I get a few in scents I want to try out (if they sound good for a lotion, otherwise I get a small body wash). In case scent is just ok I can still use the lotion (or body wash), because I love the feel of it and performance, absorbs easily and fast, and moisturizes nicely, while if I got a perfume and didn't like it, it would be a waste since there's nothing it could be used for. When I like lotions and gels I then get matching perfumes. One thing I don't like is that lotion comes in a bottle. Once it's halfway empty I have to cut the bottle to get the rest of the stuff that won't come out anymore and put it into a jar. Now when I get them I put them into jars right away, but wish it was sold like that to begin with. Besides that no complaints, great ingredients, wonderful customer service, very fast shipping, low prices and frequent sales (which is why I have more of B&I stuff than of any other etailer).
