Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Effaclar Purifying Gel Cleanser
maeshiil 8/23/2012 4:51:00 PM
This is the BEST cleanser I've ever used, and I've used countless! I started using this after my dermatologist recommended the Effaclar Duo, and I'm so glad I did. :) I love the Effaclar Duo as well, and if I stop using them for a little while (even only a couple of days) I start breaking out again. You only need to use a tiny bit because it lathers up really well, so it lasts for a very long time. I've been using the tube I have since April and I'm just now running a tad bit low.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Sex Bomb
maeshiil 7/27/2012 1:50:00 AM
This is my all-time favorite bath bomb. The scent is marvelous, the bomb itself is adorable and it leaves the bath water a beautiful shade of pink. :) I'm obsessed with Jasmine, so this is perfect. ♥

Cleansers -LUSH - Herbalism
maeshiil 7/27/2012 1:46:00 AM
Herbalism was recommended to me by a very sweet girl at Lush. She said it was great for oily, acne-prone skin. This stuff did NOTHING for me. It doesn't exfoliate hardly at all and it does a horrible job at cleansing; every time washed my face with it, I felt like I needed to wash it again with something else. Horrible.

Toners -LUSH - Tea Tree Water
maeshiil 7/27/2012 1:43:00 AM
I love this stuff. :) It's great for oily skin and I don't break out as often when I use this. I spray it onto my face and let it air dry so that it "closes" my pores. When I use it regularly, I don't break out as much or as often and if I do, the zits go away much faster, and it also works well for black heads.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - I Need a Refresh-Mint
maeshiil 5/10/2012 10:50:00 PM
Not really a mint color (actually, it's close to For Audrey by China Glaze) as described, but nice all the same. It's a good quality polish; glides on well and stays on! :)

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Matte 903C Just Peachy
maeshiil 5/10/2012 10:45:00 PM
This lipstick is the bomb. I picked it up at Walgreens on sale ($1.99 I think?) and I'm really impressed! It's dirt cheap, even at full price, and it's good quality. It's matte, but not obnoxiously so; it doesn't make your lips look like the Sahara Desert. It's long lasting as well, and the color is perfect! I'm definitely going to be picking up more of these. WnW is really stepping up it's game! :)

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes

No volume whatsoever. If you want spidery lashes, pick this up. If not, don't be sucked in by the cute packaging and nice sounding description.

Crème -Cover Girl - AquaSmooth SPF15 Make-up
maeshiil 1/1/2012 2:12:00 AM
This is a fantastic product. Wonderful coverage, nice finish, lasts well on my combo/oily skin and cheap! This would be my HG foundation... if it photographed well! But it leaves a horrible ghostly white cast in pictures. I've experienced white casts with foundations before but none as bad as with this! It's only one con, but it's a really big one. So disappointing. :(

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby
maeshiil 11/21/2011 12:06:00 AM
I absolutely adore this blush! I never would have tried this out but one of my friends was raving about it so I decided to check it out. And I'm so glad I did, because it's amazing! It's my first MAC blush but I love it so much I'm sure I'll be buying more. It looks kind of brown and unflattering in the pan but on my NC20/25 (I'm in between the two) skin it's stunning! It makes me look healthy and glowy. My new favorite blush (before, it was Estee Lauder's Radiant Peach, which I still love.) Could not recommend this enough. :)

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
maeshiil 11/15/2011 8:47:00 PM
I bought this because I lost my DW Light and needed a good foundation for my birthday, because I went out to a fancy restaurant and wanted really good coverage. This foundation does deliver amazing coverage... maybe even a bit too much. It's very heavy and very dry. It literally dries on your face in a millisecond. I had to wash this off and re-do it twice because it was so drying. It also has a very, very matte finish. I like a matte finish since I have oily skin, but this was too matte and made my skin look flat. The Light version is absolutely amazing and I will definitely be returning this and repurchasing that one instead.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear LIGHT Foundation SPF10
maeshiil 8/25/2011 1:32:00 AM
This stuff is amazing. It has very good coverage with a natural finish; it looks like my skin, only perfected. I have a very hard time finding a foundation to match my yellow/golden undertone and Intensity 1.0 is perfect for my skin when it's not tanned. As for the longevity, it's great. It lasts a whole school day and still looks just as good when I get home at 5pm as it did at 8am. And most importantly, it doesn't break me out! I couldn't ask for a better foundation and I'm so happy I have finally found my HG. :D

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Paris Amour
maeshiil 8/14/2011 9:46:00 PM
I have a tiny bit of an obsession with anything that has to do with Paris, so I was very excited about this release. And when I went to B&BW and they had the mini bottles of lotion, I smelt it and fell in love. It's such a light, girly scent. So on the launch date, I went and braved the enormous crowd and bought most of the products in the line (body butter, shower gel, bubble bath, spray). I couldn't be happier. I've been underwhelmed with B&BW's other recent releases, but they've impressed me with this. :)

Polishes -OPI - Black Shatter
maeshiil 8/12/2011 8:28:00 PM
This is my new obsession. I love to use it over neon nail polish, but my current favorite polish to pair this with is Re-fresh Mint by China Glaze (or any other mint polish, for that matter). Gorgeous. :) Def love this and will be buying more when I run out!

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick - Tea Rose
maeshiil 7/25/2011 6:39:00 PM
When I first bought this lipstick I hated it. I was expecting a rosy color and got a pretty bold pink instead. I tossed it in a drawer and didn't use it again until recently. I have no idea what has changed, but now I absolutely love it! Maybe my tastes have changed, maybe it's because it's Summer and I'm a little darker... I don't know. But I will definitely be repurchasing it when I run out, even though it probably won't be any time soon. Pros: The formula is really nice. It's pigmented, creamy, and last a decent amount of time. The price! It's an amazing deal, especially considering the quality. The packaging is really nice as well. It's simple black but it's quite cute. :) Cons: The only con I can think of is that it can be a bit thick, so you can't really layer it on or it will feel very cakey. I don't particularly care to layer on my lipsticks so it's not really a con for me, but I know some people like to really pack on their lipstick.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Matte Foundation spf 15
maeshiil 6/5/2011 1:10:00 AM
I tried the regular Bare Minerals foundation and it broke me out. THIS however, does not. This stuff is really good. It has a matte finish, obviously, unlike the regular foundation which gives a "dewy" (in other words, greasy) look to the skin. The coverage is nice for a mineral foundation and if you use the Prime Time primer, the staying power is really good. The color range is superb. I have golden/yellow-ish skin and it's VERY difficult for me to find a foundation that matches my skin. However, the Golden Light matches me perfectly perfectly in the Winter and the Golden Medium or Golden Tan is my perfect Summer shade. The cons are that you have to use a lot of product to get really nice coverage. Or at least I do. And if my skin is dry at all it will accentuate the dry patches and flake. But it's pretty much flawless in the summer, when my skin is oilier.
