Top/Base Coats -OPI - Top Coat
madii1984 9/13/2012 4:42:00 PM
This is the worst top coat I have ever used. Like most of us, I bought it because I love the OPI colours. The first few uses were OK, but then... the top coat got SO thick and gloopy that itactualy ruined my mani! The polish on my nails was dry, and when I ran the top coat brush over my painted nails it kind of "pulled", or "brushed" the nail polish off! Takes forever to dry. I don't understand what went wrong for OPI to make such an inferior product.

Blush -MAC - Launch Away!
madii1984 5/8/2012 4:47:00 PM
I had to ask the MUA people to add this product to the list :) So this is one of the 2 blushes from the 2012 summer Hey, Sailor! collection. One word: amazing. This blush sold out here in Warsaw in like 2 days. It is a very, very light peach colour, absolutely perfect for pale or light skinned girls :) Most blushes look too red, too pink, too peachy, whatever, on me, but this is just beautiful. I will really want to get another one somehow because I know this will be my favourite blush ever. If you are fair-light skinned and you find most blushes are just too much - this will be perfect. I absolutely recommend buying it as soon as it comes out because it will sell fast!

Mascara -Givenchy - Phenomen'eyes Mascara
madii1984 4/14/2012 4:13:00 AM
I can't believe this mascara has such low ratings! I am seriously thinking I've finally found my mascara HG. I was skeptical at first, because here in Poland it's pretty expensive, and it only has 6 grams of product which is not much compared to for example some other mascara which have 10 grams. But I read so many good things about it, and being a mascara junkie I gave it a go. First I apply a coat of primer, I use Lancome's, it's called Cils Booster but it's not the vibrating one, just the standard one (I love it, can't imagine using mascara without it). Then I carefully apply the mascara to each and every lash. The effect is amazing. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I used it. Yes, it does take a bit longer than when using your standard mascara brush, but it is so worth it. Every single lash is covered and totally lengthened. It even looks like you have more lashes than you really do! And one of the best things about it? It is SO easy to remove. Most mascaras you have to work a bit to get it off, but this is literally so easy to remove. I only need one cotton pad for both my eyes. Amazing. Also, I cannot believe some people are writing this mascara is clumpy. This is absolutely impossible, because the bottle has like a special stopper thing, you literally have to tug the wand a bit to get it out of the tube, which is fantastic because it removes excess product perfectly, there is the right amount of products left on the wand. It's very little product and it really is impossible for this to clump! I don't get people who say it does, because it's not possible! This mascara is worth the splurge, I really, absolutely recommend it. You won't be disappointed!!

Lipstick -Catrice - Ultimate Colour
madii1984 3/29/2012 5:34:00 PM
I have shade 060 Oh Juicy! which I have to say is a COMPLETE !!! dupe for MAC's "Morange" lipstick. How do I know this? Spring being upon us, I have gotten obsessed with orange lipsticks, so I bought the MAC Morange one. Then I saw Catrice's Oh Juicy! and thought, wow, what a pretty colour! And bought it. At home I swatched them side by side and they are 98% identical, maybe Morange is a teeeeeny bit more red but really it's hardly noticeable. I generally love Catrice. Over here in Poland it's super cheap (I paid 15 zloty for the lippy which is around $3.50US) and I love the colours, packaging and quality. The colour is bright and loud, just like I wanted my orange lipstick to be, it stays on for a good couple of hours. Highly recommended!!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Light SPF10
madii1984 2/15/2012 8:00:00 AM
I won a bottle of this foundation, so I was lucky and didn't have to pay for it. I am fair, in MAC an NC15, and I am sad to say that shade number "intensity 01" is too dark for me :( It's just too orange. So if you are NC15 or less I'd say that you will not find a colour match here. However that is the only downside I think, I wore it for a few days just to see what I could honestly say about it. I wouldn't say it's amazing. I usually use my Inglot cream foundation in shade 26 and I enjoy it more than the EL double wear light! There are just many more colours whereas the double wear light has 4 if I'm not mistaken?? Anyway, it does give the skin a nice, natural look without looking like a mask, like the original double wear does on me. Stays put for hours, on me (I have dry skin) I'd say around 8-10 hours. Overall it would be perfect for people NC/NW 20 and over. Not for the fair!

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
madii1984 2/1/2012 1:54:00 PM
I'm really surprised at the comments that this product is expensive in the States! Here in Poland you can normally buy it at a pharmacy and a 250ml bottle costs around 40 zloty which is like $13. It's cheap and all girls use it :D I used to use cleansing milks and toners before, but ever since I discovered this I don't use anything else! Removes all my make up without rubbing and pulling my skin, even a small bottle lasts a long time because you don't need to use a lot like with other products. Highly recommended!

Eye Shadow -Inglot - Freedom System Palette
madii1984 11/14/2011 4:27:00 PM
Inglot is a Polish brand which has been around, here in Poland, for many years. Only recently they have started expanding around the world, which I think is a fabulous thing as their products are amazing and everyone should be able to buy them, not only us Polish girls :D I adore the freedom system, you can put anything you want in there - eyeshadows, lippies and foundation. I don't know about the prices abroad, but here in Poland it is really cheap!! I paid 35 zloty for my YSM foundation which is around 11 american dollars. The sales lady however told me the prices abroad are higher than in Poland. I love how they have every colour you could imagine, the nail polishes don't chip at all. I'm so glad such a good Polish company is expanding and has such good reviews!
