Polishes -Butter London - The Black Knight

Love this color! It has a black base with fine fuchsia, turquoise, and silver micro glitters. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. It looks so sparkly in the sun. It's my current favorite color. It applied pretty easily, but I don't like the brush. It seems cheap and it's very small. It was opaque in two coats. I love the butter bottles. They line up so nicely on my shelf. They are expensive and I rarely finish a polish, so I wouldn't rebuy. But the color is stunning. Love it.

Polishes -China Glaze - Swing Baby

I'm surprised this polish doesn't get more love. It was so easy to apply. Went on smooth and covered in two coats. I put seche over the top and it dried quickly. It reminds me a lot of muppets designer de better without the copper flecks. It is such a shiny, metallic champagne gold, it looked more like a metallic taupe in the bottle but went on closer to the champagne gold color. It is so pretty and definitely work appropriate. Great polish!

One of my favorite polishes. Gorgeous color that goes on smoothly. Just the perfect rich creamy teal. Wears about the same as all my others np's. I can't get more than 4-5 days without a chip from any polish.

So surprised that I love this color. I thought it might be too light and blend in with my skin tone, but it looks really pretty on my NW20 skin. It's hard to describe the color. Kind of a light purple, mauve with a sheen. it applied beautifully. I used two coats, but I really should add another. It's pretty sheer. It's a very pretty spring or neutral work color.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 1 of 5

Everyone loves UDPP, but it didn't work for me at all. As soon as I put it on, my eyes burned. I tried it again, but the same thing happened. I must have had a strange reaction to the product, which is weird for me. I do think the bottle is cute, but I'm going to stick with MAC paintpot in Painterly, which works fine for me.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Syrup

Maybe my favorite color of all time. It's just enough of a pop of color without being over the top. I can wear it everyday. It's a rich mauve. And the texture is luscious. It's so smooth and silky on. Looks great and feels great.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Creme Cup
rated 5 of 5

One of my favorites. I love the cremesheens. The texture is so smooth and moisturizing. Creme cup is a beautiful light-medium pink with blue undertones. It's so pretty on. Just enough pink to brighten up my face. I think this one would be pretty on everyone.

Lipstick -MAC - Blankety

This lipstick made me look dead. It is way too beigy for me. Just makes me lips blend in with my skin tone. I find the amplified formula quite drying, so as someone mentioned, my lips looked chalky also. Trying to figure out a way I could use it so it doesn't go to waste.

Lipstick -MAC - Frost - Angel
rated 5 of 5

Love love love this color! It's such a pretty pink. My favorite MAC lippie was Chica Boom from ages ago. It was LE so I bought a couple of them. I recently ran out and I was looking for a similar color. Angel is awesome. A very pretty pink. I usually stay away from frosts, but it's not too frosty. I'm NW20 and it's a perfect color. Like MLBB.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Twinks
rated 5 of 5
madddiemom 11/24/2010 9:06:00 PM

Twinks is the most gorgeous deep plum. It's a veluxe pearl so it has a wonderful texture and it's very blendable. I use it in the crease or outer corner. It's become my everyday shadow. I have blue green eyes and it really brings out the green.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Magnifique Glossimer 83
rated 5 of 5
madddiemom 5/21/2009 11:32:00 PM

So many times I'll buy a pink lip gloss and it gives my lips a sheer, frosty color that's barely pink. Magnifique is NOT that gloss. It's got the perfect amount of pigment so when I apply it... it actually looks pink. But not too pink. The perfect amount of pink. To me it's almost a lipstick/lip gloss hybrid. More color than a gloss, but less than a lippy. It is exactly what I wanted. It looks very bright in the tube, but it's the perfect pink on your lips. I love this gloss.

When I don't know what lip color to wear I always throw on Sarong. It's a great mauve nude with fine gold shimmer. It's so pretty and it goes with everything. The perfect neutral shade. I absolutely love this one.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Pagoda Glossimer
rated 5 of 5

I've had this color forever, but I just discovered it. It's been sitting in my make up stash for months untouched and now I feel like I can't live without it. I love this color. It's been my go to gloss. It looks darker in the tube than it applies. It's a beautiful medium rosy shade that's so pretty. It's great for everyday. It adds a pop of color that's not too much. As with all glossimers, I love the texture. It's gel-like and so smooth, never sticky. Love.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly
rated 5 of 5
madddiemom 10/7/2008 10:27:00 PM

I started having problems with UDPP. It was making my eyelids burn. It felt warm when I applied it, so I gave Painterly a try and I'm so glad I did. It works beautifully on my oily lids. I've been using it under my NARS Best palette and my shadows last the entire school day. I really couldn't believe it. It feels kind of sticky when applied, but I guess that holds the eye shadow in place. I have been using it for a few weeks and I'm very impressed. I will definitely buy again.
