Concealers -Tarte - Maracuja creaseless concealer

It's taken me years to find a concealer that I like. Generally, all of those promises of not sinking into fine lines and wrinkles were just that -- empty promises. I'd been using the Josie Maran Argan concealer, and I was generally pleased with the coverage, however, I did notice that my Buxom mascara started to "racoon" whenver I used the JM concealer. Enter the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer (received as part of a QVC TSV set), and I found my favorite concealer ever! I use just a hint to cover, and there's no creasing, creping, or racooning around my eyes! My only complaint is that my tube is a bit difficult to squeeze, but that does prevent me from usisng too much.

Toners -Ole Henriksen - Pick Me Up Face Tonic

I purchased this tonic to use as a morning alternative to cleansing my face. I don't like to "overwash", and this is perfect. There are times when it seems to sting and irritate more than it should, but overall, I'm quite pleased. I plan to decant some into a smaller spray bottle to use as a refresher during the day. $30 is pricey, but given the size of the bottle, I think it is a good value. EDIT*** This toner is a bit to "aggressive" for my skin. Due to the stinging and redness it caused, I returned. I've returned to using Shiseido Eudermine.

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Bronze Shimmer

I own both Graphite Shimmer Ink and Black Mauve Shimmer Ink, and I love both of them. However, the Bronze Shimmer Ink does not last on me at all. Within an hour or so, the liner is no longer a line but a smear on my lids. This shade seems to have more shimmer than the other colors of Shimmer Ink, so it could be that it's too shimmery to last, or perhaps I just bought a bad batch. Boo!

Treatments -Lancome - Intense Nutrition- Smooth and Shine Treatment

This seems to be the only serum of this type that doesn't leave my hair looking like an oil pit. I think the price is a bit steep, and one pump is really more than you need, but thus far, I can't find anything better. I work in cosmetics (freelance, not specifically for Lancome), so I sample this all of the time. Even with my discount, I haven't taken the plunge. But I am this close. As I said, it consistently adds shine and smoothness without the greasy look that I've experienced with other smooth & shine serums.

Makeup Brushes -Smashbox - Foundation Brush

This brush is a bit more expensive than the MAC brush, but I was sold on shorter handle. I've tried a few foundation brushes, and I couldn't be happier than I am with Smashbox. The hairs are soft, but dense, which is important for application. This brush makes even the cheapest and thickest foundation look smooth and natural. If I have to replace this brush, I would definately but it again. I recommended it to a friend, and now, she swears by it.

Conditioner -Amber's Daisy - Shea Conditioner in Honey Bee

I was so pleased with the shea butter shampoo, however, I am slightly disappointed with the shea butter conditioner. The product tends to separate, and it doesn't want to emulsify in my hands. Also, I noticed that this product isn't rinsing out of my hair very well at all, and I've noticed dried patches of it on my scalp! Sadly, those patches then flake off, and it looks like a horrible case of dandruff. While the scent is lovely (a honey with a slight floral note), the overall effect isnt' what I'd hoped. I probably not purchase this product again.

Shampoo -Amber's Daisy - Shea Shampoo in Honey Bee

I love the consistency of the shea butter shampoo, and this scent is wonderful -- a slightly floral honey? The shampoo lathers nicely, and it softens my hair easily. It's very easy to work my fingers or a comb through my hair as a result of this shampoo. Also, It rinses out easily.

Lotions/ Creams -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bathina Body So Fine

I would have given it a 5 for packaging, but I had trouble with the lid. I had to pry it open, and I had the same trouble with my Dr. Feelgood. I like the fragrance of the product, as well as the light shimmer. Sadly, I used it for a month, and then I couldn't be bothered. It's a fine product, but I think it's more packaging than anything else.

Eye Primer -BeneFit Cosmetics - F.Y. Eye [DISCONTINUED]

I didn't wear eye makeup (except liquid liner) for the longest time because nothing would "stay" on my lids. Cream or powder shadows creased and faded within an hour or so...UNTIL i found FYEye! This is like a miracle for me. It seems pricey at first, but a very small amount on each lid holds my shadow. I am not sure if I would prefer this in another form (squeeze tube?) or not, hence my rating the packaging as only a 3. Will definately buy again. I suggest this product to all of my friends.

Blush -NARS - Gina

OK. I admit it -- I was resistant to NARS because of all of the hype and the cost of the products. I was seaching for a peach blush, and I noticed a NARS blush in the perfect color, and...it's my name! Vanity prevailed, but I am so pleased with the quality of this product. A touch of the brush distributes a good amount of blush, and it lasts. The pigment is great. I think $22.50 is pricey for a blush, but this is my perfect everyday color, so, it cancels out my need to purchase any others.

Concealers -Clinique - City Cover Compact concealer

I have tried so many concealers, and I haven't had much success -- until this Clinique city cover concealer. The consistency is perfect for spot concealing over my foundation/tinted moisturizer. The included brush is great for a packaged mini-brush. I seem to be getting a lot of coverage with a little product. Will repurchase.

Lotions/ Creams -MMU Cosmetics - Honey & Goat Milk Body Cream

This creamy body confection is just the right consistency for me. It's thinner than a body butter, but it's thicker than a lotion. There's a nice "slip" to the product, and it doesn't make me feel like my skin is "masked" like some body butters do. I ordered mine with a medium scent, and it's farily strong. That is fine for me, as I'm layering the same scent so that it lasts. The packaging is very plain, but the product is wonderful.
