Stick -Unlisted Brand - W3LL People Narcissist
rated 5 of 5

This is my favorite foundation. It is so easy to apply, I just swipe some on the parts of my face that need it, then I blend with my fingers, the end of a cosmetic sponge that has been massaged with moisturizer, or a foundation brush. It makes my face look flawlessly natural. I have used Bare Minerals for years, but it does no favors for my face anymore, which is combo/dry and in it's 30's, but I still dab a bit of bare minerals on the extra red parts around my nose that the Narcissist doesn't completely cover. The greatest thing about this is its versatility. It can be used as an all-over light to medium coverage foundation, as a base for a heavier foundation, and as a concealer. It even works well under the eyes. I like that it's much less messy than BE foundation and the old Tarte foundations that I used to mix together to match my skin. This is so easy to use, and I love the smell. I'll never be without it!

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Liner in Mildew
rated 5 of 5

Love love love this eyeliner. I own 4 or 5 of the 24/7's but this is my favorite. It is almost the exact color of my eyes, but yet it brings them out and makes them pop. This will always be in my makeup stash.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - WetSlicks Lip Gloss (general)
rated 2 of 5
lulublevins 5/24/2012 6:07:00 PM

I don't know why I bothered to try another one of these when the 1st one I bought was just as bad. It's nice every now and then to get something cheap, but this is just cheap all around. I bought wetslicks in candy thinking it would be a nice sparkly nude. I tried it once, looked at myself in the mirror, and promptly threw it in the trash. My lips looked like a glittery disco ball and not in a good way. This was way to cheap metallic for me. For reference, I prefer glossy glosses- I do like sparkly ones too, especially MAC's, but I won't be buying any more CG wetslicks, unless I'm going to an 80's themed Halloween party...

Styling Products -John Masters - Bourbon Vanilla and Tangerine Hair Texturizer
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 5/10/2012 5:35:00 PM

I love the John Masters Organics line. I use multiple products for hair, body & face, and love them all. Once I moved from the dry climate of California to Michigan, I realized I would need something to help my hair in the humidity. This stuff is awesome. It smells delicious, can be used in wet or dry hair and is wonderful at taming fly-aways. I use a tiny bit in the ends of my damp hair before styling and that usually does the trick. If my hair is really dry or it is very humid I rub the teeniest bit between my hands and smooth it over my dry hair. This really helps keep your hair soft, smooth and shiny. The price is not bad either, considering you only need a very minute amount. (my hair is past my shoulders.) Will definitely be keeping this as a staple in my bathroom cabinet.

Hair -Aveda - Color Conserve Shampoo & Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
lulublevins 4/16/2012 12:24:00 PM

I thought I would try Aveda's color conserve line since I have Aveda color, and my regular shampoo can be hard to find sometimes. Let me just say, I'm glad I didn't buy the jumbo bottle before I tried it! I used the shampoo and conditioner ONE time and my hair was limp near the scalp, like straw near the end, and rather dull all over. I promptly gave them away, and I will stick with my John Masters shampoo/detangler thank you very much. (which keeps my hair extremely bouncy and silky.)

Blush -Vapour Organic Beauty - Aura Multi-Use Blush
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 3/27/2012 5:11:00 PM

This is hands down the best blush I have ever used- organic, toxic, powder, cream, cheap, expensive included. The best! Since I use all natural products now, I was so happy to find this blush. It is the closest thing I have ever found to mimic the natural flush of your cheeks. It's easy to blend in and the color lasts ALL day, which is not common for most blushes I think. I love Spark, a beautiful peachy pink that perks up my pale skin perfectly. It's also very pretty with a bit Courtesan on top to brighten even more. Blush used to be my least favorite cosmetic- not anymore!!

Lipstick -MAC - Impassioned (Amplified)
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 6/2/2011 10:42:00 PM

This is about as bright as I have ever gone with a lipstick and I love it! It offsets my green eyes and makes my face "pop" a little. It is definitely a head turner. I can't believe how long it lasts. Usually it lasts through an evening, washing my face, and is still on my lips in the morning. It looks great barely patted on for a little brightness or layered on for deeper color. I imagine this would look great on most skin tones from fair to deep.

Lipstick -MAC - speed dial cremesheen
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 6/2/2011 10:29:00 PM

Beautiful! Such a gorgeous pink. I am a fair skinned, green-eyed brunette, and this pink looks really great on me. It's bright on me, but not too bright. I prefer to wear this with minimal eye makeup and a fresh "glowy" look. The color lasts a long time too. It is similar to my other favorite medium bright pink, YSL Rouge Volupte #8. YSL has little more blue in in and is more pigmented. I love them both!

Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Gotta Dash!
rated 4 of 5
lulublevins 6/2/2011 10:19:00 PM

very pretty peachy/coral. I love the formula it gives a good bit of color, but also stays a little shiny. My only complaint is that it doesn't apply very evenly on my lips. Even after I exfoliate and moisturize, the lip color still seems to stay towards the center of my lips. My lips are pretty much un-pigmented, so the color comes off a little "sixties" on me, but I like it. Looking forward to trying some other colors in the sheen supreme line.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Creme Cup
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 6/2/2011 10:09:00 PM

My favorite everyday pink lipstick. I'm fair and it goes perfectly with my skin. It layers nicely and looks great alone or with gloss on top. It also looks great with a smokey eye look. I'm definitely happy with this one! my lips don't have a lot of pigment, so it comes off as a nice pinky pink, but it's flattering.

Concealers -Almay - Bright Eyes Eye Base + Concealer
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 1/16/2011 7:46:00 PM

I have been looking high and low for a concealer that brightens my eye area, covers my somewhat dark circles, and doesn't make my eyes look tired and/or older. This is it! It covers my dark circles, makes my eyes look less puffy and the skin under my eyes look smooth. I'm so happy to have found something that does all that for less than $10. This works better than my Bobbi Brown concealer. If you have very dark circles, this might not be enough coverage, but it's perfect for me. I have fair/light skin and the Light color works for me. Goodbye tired and sad allergy eyes.-hello bright eyes!

Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 - Lemon & Chamomile
rated 5 of 5
lulublevins 12/18/2010 3:34:00 AM

Thank God I have finally found my HG lipbalm. Now I can stop wasting money on lesser lip products. I have tried so many lip balms in the past, some that I have not used more than once or twice. I have tried cheap chapsticks and overly expensive lip balms. This is hands down the best I have ever come across. The smell is divine, the consistency is thick but absorbing, and since I have started using it I don't have those flaky lips anymore. My lips look smooth, full, and moist. I can easily say I will not ever try anything else again. I have found my holy grail of lip balm. (I have not tried the orginal yet, but if it's as good as this I will be a happy girl.) I will definitely be passing these out for Christmas this year. I put this on first, let it soak in a little bit, then add a lip stain, lipstick, and a bit of gloss and my lips have never looked better.

Eyes -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Creams (Multi-Purpose)
rated 1 of 5
lulublevins 11/22/2010 6:54:00 PM

I bought #16 Pink Beige. The product may be long lasting but that is the only good thing I can say about it. I'm only 29 but this cream makes my eyes look old and crepey. It doesn't flatter my cheeks either, it showcases the slight sun damage that is starting to show up. Since I obviously don't want to look older I will definitely not be repurchasing this. I could try a different color, but I think the unflattering part is the shimmer- it's a bit much. I do have other shimmery eye creams that I like, including Benefit cream shadow. A darker color might work as a fun eye liner?

Moisturizers -Weleda - Wild Rose Night Cream
rated 4 of 5
lulublevins 11/22/2010 6:36:00 PM

This is a perfectly adequate night cream. It's not quite as amazing as some other more expensive brands I have used, but I like that it's natural and from a product line I love. I have combination skin and this cream pairs beautifully with it. It moisturizes my sometimes dry cheeks and doesn't make my t zone any oilier. I have noticed that Weleda's products seem to even out my skin tone and tone down redness which I love. I usually wake up to a nice glow. This is an especially nice night cream for winter time.

Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - 100% Natural Lipgloss in Sugar Cookie
rated 3 of 5
lulublevins 11/22/2010 6:26:00 PM

The color of this lip gloss is beautiful. It's very pretty alone, and also really pretty over pink and nude lip colors. It smells like sugar cookies, but unfortunately the taste bothered me so much that I had to return it. I don't know how to describe it, but it made me feel sick. If it weren't for the yucky taste I would give it 5 lippies. I guess I will stick to my Buxom lip glosses, though I prefer the Sugar Cookie color to Buxom's Celeste.
