MAC NC40, C40 I bought this foundation because of all the hype. I read mixed reviews and I had to try it out. I bought it in the shade 006 Medium Beige. I thought it was too light, but it was a perfect match. I used about half a pump and it was enough to cover my whole face. I have some dark spots on my chin and I could still see them. Other foundations like mufe or mac cover them. But that wasn't a con for me. I added concealer and it was fixed. I used my fingers to blend the foundation. It wasn't sticky and blended nicely. The foundation looked a bit too light but after a few minutes, it looked like I had no foundation on. I used mufe HD powder to set it. The shimmer in the foundation didn't bother me. You could only see it if you look closely. I could see it more on my forehead and cheeks. I loved the way the foundation looked on my skin. Seemed like my skin could "breathe" and it didn't feel like I had foundation on. I noticed that I broke out from this foundation. Everytime I wear it, I get breakouts on my cheeks.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Chic Couple

MAC NC40, C40 This was the first blush the ma at mac tried on me. She loved how it looked on my skin. Once I looked in the mirror, I loved how the blush gave me a nice bronze glow. Just like Two Virtues being similar to Love Rock, this blush is very similar to Light Over Dark (grand duo.) The blush is very pigmented and you need a light hand while applying this. This blush has the least shimmer out of all the blushes. I wasn't interested in this blush at all at first. I thought it was too dark. But when the ma tried it on, the color on my cheeks was different than all the swatches I saw. It doesn't look muddy on my cheeks. Gives me a nice, coppery gold bronze look. Perfect for summer.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Two Virtues

MAC NC40, C40 I love mineralize blushes! I saw swatches of this collection online and wanted to try them out first before buying. The ma at mac tried on all the blushes on me. Two Virtues reminds me a lot of Love Rock (just like a reviewer before me stated.) the pink shade is very similar. I swatched both blushes and each blush is different. Love Rock is more shimmery and once swirled with the highlight, makes it a light pink with shimmer. Two virtues is a darker pink with a slight shimmer. This blush gives me a nice glow. It's very pigmented and a little goes a long way. It doesn't have a lot of shimmer. In my opinion, if you have any of the grand duos, swatch them before buying any of the too fabulous blushes. there are a few that are very similar.

Lovely color! I have very pigmented lips and this lipgloss mutes my lip color. On my lips, it looks like nude peach color. On the tube, it looks like it has shimmer and I see them on my lips once the color starts to fade. It's not sticky. it's not moisturizing. My lips have to be super smooth. This gloss accentuates any dry areas on my lips. Everytime I would wear this gloss, I would notice bumps around my lips. They would go away within a day. At first, I thought it was something else that would cause those bumps. But i would see them appear everytime I wore this gloss.

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat

MAC NC40, C40 My first NARS blush was orgasm. Even though it gave me a nice flush of color, it left shimmers all over my face. I swatched some blushes at Sephora and wanted Madly, but they were out. I swatched DT and loved it. DT is described as peach with shimmer. On my cheeks, it looks like a combination of both pink and peach with gold shimmers. It has a lot less shimmer than orgasm. I used this blush with my 187, and it applied the perfect amount of color. Made my cheeks pop without adding too much.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Voluminous Marker eyeliner

I needed a new liquid eyeliner and i saw this and added the liner to my basket. Once i got home, I opened it and tried it one. This eyeliner is good for thick lines. No matter what you do, you cannot get a thin line. There is no color payoff. The tip that the liner has makes it difficult to get a dark black line. You can go over the same line and you can see the color of your lid peek through. I tried using it to draw a wing liner, and i wasnt able to. The tip is rough and feels like its scratching your lid.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Ice Cubes

I tend to mess with my pimples so much that I end up having dark acne scars after. I usually break out once in a while, but i cant hold back and start picking. Even when I dont see a whitehead. I started taking care of my skin and stopped picking! I was doing my makeup before work and as I was blending out my concealer on my cheeks (cover redness), i noticed that there was a bump forming. It started to hurt once i touched it. there was no head forming. Painful, red bump. It was swelling up really bad and i didnt know what to do. I remembered reading on the boards about ice cubes. So, I went to my fridge took out an ice cube and grabbed a washcloth. I wrapped the ice cube with the washcloth and applied it directly on my pimple. I would leave it for about 45 seconds, around 6-7 times. I noticed that the swelling had gone down and it didnt hurt anymore. The pimple was still there but it was less visible. It didnt form a head and was gone in about one day. I used the ice cube method about 2-3 times a day and added polysporin.

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Gaga

MAC NC40, C40 I swatched both cyndi and gaga about 3 times at different counters. I passed on them. I went to mac to purchase gaga for a lovely mua'er. I swatched it one more time. As i was looking at the lipsticks, i asked the ma at the counter if she would recommend it for my skintone. She applied it lightly with a lip brush and it looked stunning! She added clear lip gloss over the lipstick and it looked very nice. She was wearing it and she's NC43. The ma paired it up with a purple smokey eye. I got home and i immediately tried on gaga. I wanted to see if it looked the same as it did at the counter. I applied one coat and it looked lovely! I have very pigmented lips and i usually go for nudes. On me, it didnt look like most of the pictures ive seen. It looks like a nude, light pink. If i build the color more, it will look very over-powering. I wore this lipstick on a night out and i received many compliments.

Blush -MAC - On A Mission

NC40/42, C40 I purchased this blush when the style warriors collection first came out. I wore the blush about 3 times and I wasn't sold on the color. It looked muddy and with slight red tone. I swapped this blush away. My local CCO had some of the Style Warriors collection and I decided to give this blush another try. I used a different brush this time and I was happy with the results. I used my 187 and the finish looked smooth and well blended. It gave my face a nice glow. With my other brush (129) it applied to much color and I couldn't blend it out. In the pan, the blush looks like it has some shimmer, but once you apply it, there are no shimmers. This color is perfect for summer time. With the correct application, this blush won't look muddy. I am not a fan of the packaging. :( I'm glad I gave this blush another try.

Scrubs -TiGi - Papayarazzi Sugar Scrub

This scrub smells amazing! I used it on my legs and left my legs super smooth and with a nice sheen. This is a greasy scrub so i had to go over my legs with a sponge after to remove some of the greasiness. The sugar is just the right size (not too big or too small). Ive used other sugar exfoliaters and they seem to dry out my skin. This one didnt! Its not greasy when youre applying it. When you rinse it off, you see and feel the greasiness it leaves behind. I dont like that it comes in a tub, a tube would be better. Will definately repurchase this item again.

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer

MAC NC40, C40 I ran out of my studio touch up stick (nw30) and i was looking for a new concealer to replace it. NW30 is a great concealer for my undereyes. It brightens up my eyes and covers my acne scars okay. i wanted extra coverage and i decided to get studio finish. I got the same shade as the studio touch up stick i had (NW30) If you get it directly from the pot and apply it, it looks cakey. I warmed it up with my fingers and applied it. I loved how it covered up my acne scars. i was amazed because with other concealers, i would need to apply a lot to get a decent coverage. At work, im busy going to one place to another. By lunch time, my makeup would melt off. I would see my imperfections and i would always reapply my makeup. This concealer seemed to keep covering my imperfections well.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Striptease

MAC NC40/42, C40 This gloss looks scary when you take out the wand and apply it to your lips. At first, i was skeptical of using it because i thought it would make me look "washed-out." I have very pigmented lips and i always go for a nude-lip look. Once i started applying it, the color seems to blend in and the color started sheering out a bit. The gloss isnt sticky and it doesnt dry out my lips. The only thing that i dont like about this gloss is that it accentuates my lips if they are chapped or dry. My lips feel like i have no gloss on and my lips feel very soft.

MAC NC40-42, C40 I have very pigmented lips so most of my lipsticks are nudes. I was at my local cco looking for a red lipstick or gloss. The only red lipstick they had was this one and when i swatched it on my hand, it looked lovely! A rich, red color that was true to color. I decided to purchase it. Once i got home, i wore it and i was happy with my purchase. I cannot compare this lipstick to other red permanent lipsticks from mac since i dont own any. Its an amplified lipstick, and i adore the finish. Its not drying on my lips and it goes on smooth. The color lasted for about a couple of hours and then slowly faded into a slight red/pink color. This is a bright red lipstick and i dont see myself wearing this on a daily basis. But it encouraged me to try other red lipsticks. The packaging looks cute but i do see problems with the sticker falling off soon. :(

Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer

I got a generous sample of the mufe hd sample from sephora. at first, i was hesistant to use it. most of the primers that i have used have caused breakouts, from revlon to mac. the only primer that has worked for me has been smashbox's photo finish primer. since i was getting the hd foundation, i wanted to try out a sample of the primer. i didnt want to get the full size because i am testing out primers to see which one works better for my skin. the primer feels cool on my skin. it doesnt feel sticky or greasy like most primers. it does have a watery-consistency. but it dries up quickly. leaves my skin smooth and soft to the touch. once it dries, i apply foundation. the foundation applies smoothly and it doesnt cake up.

mac nc40/42, c40 i dont have any pink blushes. i saw this blush at my cco and decided to purchase it. at first, i thought it wouldnt show up on my skin but it did. a nice pink shimmery glow. as the hours go by, there is shimmer everywhere. i find that love rock has more shimmers than the other grand duos that i own. even with very light application, my brush seems to pick up the shimmers.
