This moisturizer is amazing! Using it with AmLactin has really improved my keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. It's also amazing at preventing ingrown hairs on my legs after shaving. I really do like the scent as well. This is probably my favorite lotion right now. Also, a little seems to go a long way, so it does last a while. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but it is worth it.
Lotions/ Creams -Olay - Touch of Sun Body Lotion with sunless tanner

I got this on sale instead of rebuying the Jergens sunless tanning lotion I usually use. The smell is bearable, but I find that this moisturizer provides little moisture and hardly any color. I will use up this tube, but I will not be repurchasing. I find the Jergens does a much better job of moisturizing and providing me with a little color.
Shave Products -eos - Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss

I really love this shaving cream. I hate the foaming kind, as they typically rely on harsh soaps to create the foam, and that makes me itch like crazy. This is so thick and creamy, it doesn't rinse right off if you accidentally splash yourself. You have to rinse your razor blade off more when you're using it to maintain a close shave, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I don't get itchy when I use this, and it smells terrific. I haven't cut myself since using it, either!
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Calming Creme Daily moisturizer

This moisturizer has saved my skin again and again during the winter time. My skin has a tendency to become very itchy and dry during the winter here, and very few lotions actually moisturize. Many leave me feeling greasy but still dry. However, although this moisturizer takes a while to absorb into my skin completely, once it does, it alleviates my itchiness and dry skin very well. There are some days I feel so dry and pained that I can't wear anything but sweatpants, and this cream helps me to put on normal clothes and get on with my life. Hooray for Eucerin!
Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Advanced Care Moisturizing Cream

My hands were dry and chapped until I found this cream. It seems like almost overnight, they feel soft and smooth again. It is not greasy, but really moisturizes. It has a very faint oatmeal fragrance, but hardly any scent at all. The tube is rather small, but it also makes it easy to toss in a purse and take it along with you. I only use this on my hands, but I suspect it would be equally effective on the body as well. I highly recommend this cream if you have chapped and itchy dry winter skin.
This is my favorite nude lip gloss. It works well with my skin tone, and I also like to layer it with MAC Creme d'Nude if I really want a strong nude lip. I also like the texture of this gloss. It is very shiny, but not very sticky. It's also a satin gloss, and doesn't have shimmer, which I think is rare for lip gloss these days. However, I can't get over the taste. For some reason, all NARS lip products taste old and rancid to me. I'll keep wearing it because it's the best nude lip gloss I've found so far. A bit expensive, but I've found it at discount stores several times.
I honestly think I must be using a different product than others from the reviews! This product is incredibly moisturizing on me and makes my lips incredibly soft. I get a fresh, sheer rosy glow on my lips with just a hint of shine. I love the cherry scent/taste, too. I am incredibly impressed with this lip balms, especially for the price. I just hope it continues to work so well!
Lotions/ Creams -Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter
luckyangelou 9/27/2009 1:29:00 PM
I adore this body butter so much! It smells absolutely amazing, as all Soap & Glory products do. It has what I consider the "classic" S&G fragrance that nearly all the pink products have. It's like Strawberries & Champagne, and reminds me a bit of Miss Dior Cherie. Not the same of course, but I get a faint reminder. It is a strong scent, but it will stay with you all day! I think this is probably a deal breaker for some, but it's like a perfume. Why buy it if you don't like the way it smells, KWIM? This body butter is moisturizing, non-sticky or greasy, and goes on like a dream. I often use it after using S&G body wash and follow with the Flirtigo body spray (I think it's called "Girligo" in the US). I got addicted to S&G products while living in the UK, and I'm so happy that you can now purchase them at Target!
Hands down, the WORST mascara I have ever used! So thick and clumpy; it was like applying wax to my lashes. I tried using my metal lash comb to separate them, but it was useless. I actually had to use a needle to separate my lashes to be able to go out in public. I almost had to remove all my makeup and start over again because this mascara was so terrible. I also had horrible flaking and smudging, and I think my eyes got irritated from this, too. It came in the 7-in-7 kit, but this was the only product I absolutely despised! I would not recommend this to anyone! It didn't seem like it was that waterproof, either. I was out in 80 degree heat and it rained, and I looked like a raccoon despite its "Better than Waterproof" claims. Save your money on this one!
I really like this color and formula. It's a cooler color, but it doesn't look terrible on my pale, warm skin like most cool colors do. The shimmer is very wearable, and the formula is smooth and thick. It does have a fragrance (not so much a flavor, though), and for some reason, it reminds me of a high school dance. It smells a bit like Love Spell body spray or something similar to me! I don't hate the fragrance; it's still wearable, but I would have given it five lippies if it had a better scent or no scent at all!
I miss this stuff so much! I've been using Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray, but it's so much more expensive, and not really the same at all. *Sigh* This product really gave my fine, wavy hair the most gorgeous beachy waves. Plus, it smells divine! I have a little left in my old bottle, but I'm holding out on using it. PLEASE bring this back, John Frieda!!!
This is absolutely my favorite lotion for a multitude of reasons. I adore the fragrance. I find the Cherry Almond scent to be fresh and nice. It is also a great moisturizer that doesn't leave me sticky or greasy feeling. I also don't break out if I touch my face or hair when I use this on my hands. Finally, this is a very affordable product! There are more expensive moisturizers out there that I like just as much, if not better, but I can always count on being to buy this again and again.
I've tried A LOT of foundations, including some of the more popular HE ones, but Revlon ColorStay has performed the best on my skin. I use the one for Combination/Oily skin, and it really does last all day and doesn't get shiny nearly as fast as most others I've used. There is a pretty wide color selection, so I was able to find a light and warm shade that didn't look awful on my skin. I don't really like the smell, and I hate that it doesn't come with a pump, but as this is an affordable foundation that really works for me, I can overlook those shortcomings! I typically apply this with either my SK skunk brush (MAC 287 dupe) or simply with my fingers. Either way, I get good, even coverage. This does need to be blended quickly, or it can dry in a streaky way. I've used a variety of pressed and loose powders in conjunction with this foundation, and I can't really say I've found one that works particularly better. This foundation seems to play well with others!
I like the length my short top lashes gets from this mascara, but it tends to clump and smudge on me. I typically now only use this for dramatic night looks, because it is too clumpy for everyday wear. It does add some length, but the length just doesn't overcome the huge amount of clumpiness.
I like this palette a lot. It's easy to apply quickly, the directions are foolproof, and everything is in one easy to access palette. I do find that I achieve a nicer, more dramatic smoky eye with individual products, but when I'm in a hurry or traveling light, I reach for this often. It's easy to just toss in a bag with some foundation, lipstick, and mascara and go. I also think the brushes are the best quality that I've found in a kit or palette. They are actually usable, so I don't have to take the time to toss in eye brushes. I recommend this palette to anyone who has been struggling with the smoky eye look or just needs a simple all-in-one travel kit for their eyes.
