Blush -Nuance by Salma Hayek - FLAWLESS MINERAL CHEEK TRIO

Nice little surprise!! I bought this color in Apricot. I'm NC 30. This color combo is PERFECT. I use the real techniques contour brush to get at the bronzer, my MAC 116 to get at the blush and highlighter.. I 've used this product everyday since I bought it 6 months ago and i just hit pan. Still plenty left. The bronzer is matte and the perfect color. The blush is the perfect blush for my skintone, and the highlighter is a nice touch. I love that all 3 products are in one compact. I also like the mineral quality of the product, they have pigment, but can be sheered and layered. What I don't like: I'm not sure how I'm going to get at the last bit of product in the triangle without mixing them all up. I also thought the price was a little steep for a drugstore product, but I used a coupon and extracare bucks from CVS when I bought it. I was surprisingly pleased with this one.
Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Kiss Me Coral

LOVE this color. It's a true coral, not too red, not too orange, not too pink. The pigmentation is excellent. It leaves a light stain as it wears. It's not drying. What can I say? Excellent lipstick in an outstanding color. One of the gems from this line.
This was the perfume my grandmother wore, it was sophisticated without being over the top. I also wore it decades ago. A classic, and nothing modern smells like it. LOVE.
Great color. Truly neutral beige with undetectable micro-shimmers. This is truly my mannequin hands color. Love it.
I love these, and have a bunch that are over 2 years old. Still creamy and smooth, because I STORE THE POT UPSIDEDOWN!!! Just a tip for anyone saying they dry out. Same with paint pots. STORE THEM UPSIDEDOWN. That way you can see the color you're reaching for, too. Never had one dry out on me.
Formula on these is too 'greasy' and wears fast. This color is a very yellow beige that makes me look like death, not even warmed over. (NC30 for reference). It's gets a 2 because it's pigmented, true to color, not drying, and cheap. But I threw mine away. No amount of lips gloss or lip liner could make it work.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I received this from a lovely MUAer as a gift. I had read the reviews. Little did I know how life changing this is. Like a previous reviewer said: "I can reach my back!". This is a long towel with the texture of a bath poof. It causes the smallest amount of soap to lather up really well. It rinses clean under the spout, and dries really fast. The texture is rough, but not too rough if used with soap. My skin was instantly smoother after just one use. I now look forward to my showers because they become a spa like experience with this thing. One thing I noticed is that they are marked 100 and 300. This review is for the 100, since I have not tried the 300 yet. Get these, you won't regret it.
Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strip Gel Creamliner (Hazel Eyes)

This stacking pot systm is brilliant! Keeps them all together or just 2 or whatever. This trio has a Black with sublte pink/red shimmers, a shimmery /taupey brown, and a medium violet no shimmer. First of all, the taupe is a spot on dupe of MAC Ostentatious! I have Ostentatious, I ♥ it, I swatched them next to each other, and yeah dupes!! These are very creamy and glide on smoothly. pigmentation is fanastic on the taupe, decent on the black, and not so great on the violet. The violet reminds me of MAC's Non-Conformist. They wear well, and the little brush that comes with the set is really decent. Seems expensive but really is not when you think you get 3 pots of different colors. However, I do wish PF would ditch the your eye color system and just sell the different pots seperately bu make that they snap together. Overall great product.
Love this one. It ends up actually being the tone of my lid, but smoother, better, with a subtle satininess. For reference i am NC30. I love paint pots, both as stand alone shadows and bases for powder shadows. They wear like iron, and are smooth and cause me no irritation, which some eyelid products can (I'm looking at you UDPP). I bought mine when it first came out, and it's still fresh because I store it UPSIDEDOWN. Paint pots are one of my favorite MAC products and I'm peeved that MAC has decided to discontinue the colored ones of these like Delft, and Moss Scape, etc. But anyway, this is a great basic color that would work for a fairer person as a light taupe. great color, great product. I'm half way through my pot, so it takes a while, but I will definitely repruchase this one.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - britney spears CIRCUS FANTASY

I like this one. It's very different from the original Fantasy in that it is light and florally, and not sweet and gourmand, like the original. This is fresh and very wearable, however, it does not last long. However, while it's pleasant, it's not memorable, and actually smells very generic in some ways. I would buy again if I got it on sale. I personally like the bottle (it's just like the original, but in a different color), and this color is pretty.
Great color and product in crappy packaging with classic Noxema smell. Love the color, bright pinky plum with hints of shimmer. Small amount, and the brush is useless, but the product itself is pigmented and easily blended, a true drugstore gem. I don't mind the smell, and it fades anyway.
Gorgeous deep bronzy peachy blush with hints of golden shimmer, not pink at all, but more like a golden soft red. Comparable to MAC's Sunbasque, only more rosy. Good pigmentation on these little Cheeker's gems. I like using the Ecotools blush brush which is soft and doesn't pick up too much product so I don't overdo it, because it can be overdone with this one. However, with a light hand, it gives a gorgeous summer bronzing sunned look. I know some people use this to contour (e.g. emilynoel83 of YT). I've used it as a contour and it can work, but I prefer a browner less red color for that.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Party Pink

I loved the color, a soft fuschia, very wearable. The texture was nice, creamy. And, the packaging is sleek and pretty. However, the scent on mine was crayons from the beginning, and it had a slight weird chemical taste. It also turned on me within months. I'm not the type of person who wears the same lip color everyday, so I cannot have a product turn on me within months. Will never repurchase any of the Color Sensational lipsticks because of the turn factor. I'll stick with Revlon for drugstore lipsticks.
Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach
lucdiaz 12/21/2010 2:40:00 PM
Gorgeous bright peach color that is comparable to NARS Orgasm, but without the shimmer. I find these pigmented, and blendable as well. Packaging, and tiny brush suck, but otherwise great product.
Gorgeous light peachy highlighter (on me, NC30). The packaging and teeny brush that comes with it sucks, and there is a small amount of product in there, but the product itself is really good. Has a really subtle sheen, and is pigmented. I also find these to cling well to the skin, yet also buff out and blend well too. Great little drug store find.
