Based on all the positive reviews I decided to go for it and buy this foundation. I have tried a lot of foundations, looking for my HG and I still haven't found one I love. I don't have very particular skin, I am acne-prone but normal skin for the most part, about an NC 30. I bought Warm Golden and have been wearing the foundation for a couple of days. Here's what I've observed. 1. Amazing feeling going on-it feels light and it is very smooth 2.Great coverage-like i said, acne pron skin, with some acne scarring. But with this foundation I don't have to build, I put five spots of it on my face, spread it with a brush and i get great coverage. 3. A little goes a LONG way (see above) 4. Stays put all day!I I love that it doesn't leave makeup on my phone after I use it, thats quite amazing to me. I also happened to buy this the week of a heat wave in NYC and even though it was sweltering I didn't have to touch up once. Now here's the dilemma: Despite all these great things, there's just something about this foundation that is keeping it from HG status, when i put it on, it just looks flat on my face. DULL?ashy? I see other people with similar complaints on here, so there must be something to it.I have no idea but there is something OFF about it. Maybe its because I usually don't have time to let it dry after I put it on before I set with powder?Maybe I'm not putting it on right? (i am open to suggestions) Regardless, it is just not hitting all the right notes for me, and may end up being returned, unless I can figure out how to apply properly. Sad, because I really wanted my search to be over!

Powder -E.L.F. - Mineral Foundation

I recently decided to switch to powder foundation after getting a really intense facial and I felt that the foundations I had been using were to heavy and would damage my skin. I bought the e.l.f. foundation on a whim despite the mediocre reviews on here. I figured 3 bucks wasn't a huge sacrifice!Seeing as how this is my first powder I can't really give a comparative review but I really love this foundation and the routine I have discovered with e.l.f. products. Luckily I ordered the right shade (golden honey). I use the mineral primer, then the foundation and then the hd powder and Iove the way my face looks after, It looks like I'm not wearing foundation at all, gives better coverage then I thought it would, and matches my skin tone! The packaging is a but sucky however. It comes in a small container and its kind of hard to pick up a decent amount of product on your brush. It's a bit messy but nothing to stress about. All in all, I'm really happy with the quality of the product and my appearance. It feels really lightweight, and I have been using it for about a week and have not noticed anymore breaking out than usually (acne-prone skin) Maybe one day i will upgrade to a "better" foundation but for now I am completely satisfied!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Perfection Volumizing Mascara
rated 5 of 5

This is my go-to mascara!I am obsessed with mascara and getting long fluttery looking lashes. I have tried a lot of drugstore mascaras (college student on college budget) and this is my all time favorite so far! I have naturally long, curled lashes, so I was looking for a mascara to define my lashes without clumping. I have found it!I use this everyday, even one coat and I'm good to go!It doesn't clump or smudge and it lasts all day long!Another plus is that it comes off relatively easy and my eyelashed don't break off or feel weaker.I prefer this than the lashblast mascara which I happen to think is really overrated. This is hands down the best mascara I have tried so far, and I will certainly be buying again!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 5 of 5

I love my Naked Palette!I bought it on a whim on an airplane in Sky Mall, because it seemed like a good deal (26 euros for 12 shades, a primer and a double ended pencil liner..score!) I had no idea, that it would become such a huge deal! The colors are all fantastic, you can create a variety of looks from smoky to natural. This palette really encourages you to experiment and try new looks. They shadows blend as if they were meant to be together and the only thing keeping them apart were the shadow compartments. A little goes a long with with these shadows; I bought the palette in January and it looks like I've only had it a week, but I use it EVERYDAY. The colors last ALL DAY long, no matter what the occasion. The packaging is beautiful, with brown velvet on the outside, gold lettering, a mirror on the inside and a magnet on the top cover for easy access This was my first UD product, and it has become my partner in crime!I carry it everywhere and it is so versatile, I can do my eye makeup and all my friends too, no matter eye color, shape etc. I recommend this palette to everyone, it is simply the best!
