Mascara -Neutrogena - Lash Tint [DISCONTINUED]
lovefragrance 9/5/2006 5:01:00 PM
Let me say that I was looking for a mascara that wouldn't irritate my eyes. Well bingo! with this one. ;) I could pour like, the whole tube of mascara in my eyes and I don't think it would irritate them. However, it is REALLY light, really really light. You have to put on multiple multiple coats to get anything that resembles "regular" mascara. If you want a VERY light tint this is the way to go. I'm still on the hunt for a "real" mascara that doesn't irritate my eyes. :)

Fragrances -Clean - Clean Provence
lovefragrance 8/30/2006 6:02:00 PM
This is by far my favorite Clean fragrance. To say it smells like "french milled soap" like Clean's description is a little misleading/ and lacking. That makes it sound like, to me? that it will smell TOO soapy and almost stale smelling like a big, old bar of soap sitting on a shelf. Not at ALL with this frag. It is a clean, soapy smell with just enough musk? etc. to make it feminine etc. It also has a TOUCH of sweetness that does NOT make it offensive, just enough to make it feminine as well. It smells as if the finest french perfume house were making their own laundry detergent. Like your Gain laundry detergent or something but taken up "on the traditional perfume scale" several notches as if it were "redone" by a great perfume house. Very pretty and "clean". ;) :)

Fragrances -Clean - Clean

This is one of the better Clean fragrances. It smells alot like soap/laundry detergent/ clean laundry etc. No muss, no fuss. Not much else. If you'd like such a smell, try it. I enjoy it a decent amount.

Fragrances -Clean - Sweet Layer
lovefragrance 8/30/2006 5:57:00 PM
This smells similar to the description "sweet". It smells like soap with lots of "sweetness" thrown on top and maybe a good dose of "stinky" jasmine? Not a fan. Somewhat gross honestly.

Fragrances -Monyette Paris - Coquette Tropique
lovefragrance 8/30/2006 5:54:00 PM
This is not an offensive fragrance in my opinion but not terribly interesting or lovely or anything either. I hear alot about tropical flowers etc. but I mainly smell PEACH. This frag. strikes me as VERY peachy to me. It is sweet but more in a peach juice/ etc. sort of way. There are definitely some tropical flowers in here. I detect a fair amount of.....????? gardenia? and..... plumeria? If you want a sweet fragrance that is LOTS of peach with touches of sweet tropical florals thrown in then this is for you. It's too boring for me though.... and not what I would expect (with so much peach!) in a tropical fragrance........ so its not for me.

Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Veil
lovefragrance 8/30/2006 5:43:00 PM
This is a lovely fragrance. It is a sort of "white" musk. (meaning sort of light, and simple and "white" or blue? not black or deep etc.)...... very pretty, simple musk. Very much as descritpion "perfect "veil" " It is a sort of soft "veil" of musk. If you like ligh, white type musks you would like? and should try this one. :)

Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Nectar
lovefragrance 8/30/2006 5:40:00 PM
I don't know what it is I don't love about this scent. I tend to like citrus AND tend to like Creative Scentualization so you'd think I'd like it. But..... It is a mix of citrus (orange) and peach (and some other stuff thrown in) but these are the MAIN notes....... However, the citrus is somehow sharp? I have no problem with "zest" but there is more sharpness? than zest here.... and I think? that's what I didn't like (perhaps????? possibly? even a soapy note I didn't like?) This is a very fresh, fruity fragrance. I probably "would" like it if it weren't for the sort of odd? "sharp" note in it that makes my nose crinkle.

Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Tuberose
lovefragrance 8/30/2006 5:37:00 PM
Perfect tuberose IS close to the perfect tuberose if you're looking for something with a scent VERY similar to the scent of the flower. Still not an exact replicate but one of the closer ones I have found. I'm not giving this a 4 or 5 because my favorite tuberose so far is Michael Kors (love how it is tuberose/ heady YET FRESH! at the same time)..... Tuberose fans MUST give this a try though. ;) :)

Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Sunset

This is a sort of patchouli-amber. As a non patchouli, sandalwood etc. and amber fan I was not impressed. However, fans of these notes would probably love this. ;) :)

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance

I like this frag. :) I don't often like Chanel perfumes.... don't like (at all!) Chanel no.5 but I like this one...... It is a Chanel but younger and prettier. :) I like it particularly for winter.

Fragrances -Santa Maria Novella - Melograno
lovefragrance 8/23/2006 2:53:00 PM
This fragrance is soap, soap, soap. It smells like old-fashioned, fairly utilitarian soaop that say, a family would've had in their bathroom in the '30s. Very strong, acrid, sharp, sort of "lyey" soapy quality in that way. Smells almost JUST like this bar of soap my grandma always has in the bathroom. It also has some chypey notes. Like TOUCHES of citrus? and maybe cedar? But it is mainly soap. When I found out (AFTER sniffing) that this frag. was supposed to be pomegranate I was STUNNED! pomegranate! It doesn't resemble it in the LEAST! Very strange...... I usually like Santa Maria Novella but this one's not for me...... if you want a soapy frag. you should give this a try, but if you want pomegranate this is WAY off. I'm giving this a 3 lippie instead of 2 because its not HORRIBLY unpleasent and some people might like it. If I were "lippieing" it based solely on its pomegranateness I'd give it 1 or none! ;) :)

Fragrances -L'Artisan Fragrances - Fleur d'Oranger 2005
lovefragrance 8/22/2006 6:06:00 PM
Ah Fleur d'Oranger. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Yes, as some reviewers stated this IS orange blossom, pure and simple. (it smells just like orange blossom water but purer and cleaner? and more "garden" like). But it IS a very pure, fine orange blossom. One reviewer below stated (dissapointedly in this frag.) that she could get the EXACT! same effect rubbing orange blossoms "on her skin". Exactly! :) Everyone doesn't have access to orange blossoms and to capture their fragrance is (in my opinion) a sign of GREAT! quality in a floral fragrance. YUM! Honestly? you could probably get ALOT similar for MUCH less of the price. But if you have the $$$$ and love orange blossom, get it! :) I'd give this 5 lippies but I'm giving it 4 for the prohibitive price. That being said though, l'artisan did state that this perfume was made specifically from a GREAT orange blossom harvest previously in Tunisia. It is akin to a good wine grown in a year when grapes were excellent ..... you're going to pay more for it.

Fragrances -Parfums De Nicolai - Cococabana
lovefragrance 8/22/2006 5:59:00 PM
Meh. This was okay. I detected alot of "black coconut" and dark/black musk. I also detected SOME suntan oil scent, but not alot. I detected maybe? some tropical flowers, pikake? scent. Also maybe a TOUCH? of spice. Honestly this isn't a "great" summer frag. to me. There is something so heavy and even dark about the frag. that I'd actually recommend it for winter? It DOES have a "clean" note somewhere in the background but it also has this musty? note that I'm not thrilled with. It can also smell fairly synthetic at times. Certainly isn't worth the price. Meh.

Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - Blue for Women
lovefragrance 8/21/2006 6:01:00 PM
This is okay. Nothing to write home about. It sort of "wants" to be everything the lovely Fred. Malle Lys Meditteranae is but it falls quite? short. It smells similar, but in no way as lovely as the lys med. and with fairly more grapefruit? and maybe? vanilla. It seems to try to "mimic" some of the great Italian chypres (like F.M's Lys Med, Acqua di Parma etc.) but does not live up to them and has much more of a distinctive (and not very good) "chemically" or synthetic quality. It is still a good one to "test sniff" for chypre and/or "marine" lovers. ;) :)

Fragrances -Jo Malone - Nectarine Blossom and Honey
lovefragrance 8/21/2006 4:55:00 PM
I'm TERRIBLY unimpressed with Jo Malone's frag.s in general. Most of them smell "pleasent" and don't stink but NONE (in my experience yet) bear a resemblence to their names/ and/or descriptions. Nectarine blossom and honey? No. More like straight up peach with maybe? a touch of something remotely floral. This isn't a BAD smelling fragrance. It is very fresh smelling. It would be something to try for "peach lovers" along with IPDF's florentia 22 and Creed's Spring Flower. Oh, and the honey? COMPLETELY non existent. It SOUNDS promising but there is none. The fragrance was dissapointing and lackluster.
