BB Cream -L'Oreal - Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 1:24:00 PM
I use this as a primer, rather than a bb cream/fdtn since it has absolutely no coverage. As a primer it helps my fdtn last longer, and control oil pretty well. I have combination skin, oily in the t-zone, and it doesn't make my skin oiler or break me out. I also like to use it alone on good skin days. Gives my skin a nice warm boost of color and makes it look more even and smooth. It has tiny shimmer particles which give a glowy/dewy finish but not oily/metallic. I use it in the deep shade for my nc42 skintone. Deep is darker than my skin skin currently, but will match perfectly over the summer when I'm darker, about nc45. Even though it is darker, I like it bc it makes it look like I got a little bit of sun.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - PanOxyl 10% Foaming Face Wash
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 1:17:00 PM
This cleanser really clears breakouts, but it made my skin so dry that it's not worth it. I tried dif. moisturizers afterwards and my skin would still get red and flaky. It also left a film which clogged my pores. I would sometimes use pc bha toner to remove the residue from the cleanser, and the cotton pad would come out dirty. So even though it clears breakouts, it doesn't exactly get your skin clean if that makes sense.

Primer/ Corrector -Giorgio Armani - Master Corrector
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 1:08:00 PM
I purchased this in shade no.2 after hearing raves on the makeup board. I'd been using bobbi browns peach corrector and wanted to try something new. The armani is a little darker than the BB. The shade worked well on my nc42 skintone and created a nice brightened look. I'm giving it a 3 rating because it's expensive, and I found that my concealers creased/faded when I used this under, and I tried it with several dif. concealers.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 1:03:00 PM
So far, this is one of the best powders I've tried for setting my concealer. I'm nc42 and use it in shade #2. It's finely milled and has very very fine shimmers that give a slight glow. The only way I can see the shimmer is in direct sunlight, and even then it is very faint, doesn't look like shimmer unless you look very closely. I don't notice a whole lotta brightening compared to a regular setting powder, it's a subtle effect. Overall the powder gets the job done and keeps my concealer in place. I will repurchase if I don't find something better. I've been using it for 4 months so far and still have a lot left so it will be a while before I'll need to search for something else.

Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Metal Eye Lash Comb
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 12:58:00 PM
This is a must have beauty tool. If you want clump free, defined lashes, you must get this. It separates lashes like no other, and makes your mascara look great, removing any possible clumps. The best way to use it is from the top of your lashes, while your mascara is still wet, with the teeth facing down so you don't poke yourself in the eye. Start from the root of your lashes, with the comb facing down, and comb out. It is very sharp, so please be slow and careful when you use it to comb out your lashes. Cleaning the comb is easy, soak a cotton pad with alcohol and wipe it clean a few times. Try not to let too much mascara build up so it's easier to clean. I prefer to wipe it down every 2/3 days, the cleaner the comb is the better it works at separating your lashes and removing clumps.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Cremo Moisturizer
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 12:52:00 PM
This is a great, no-frills moisturizer. Very light weight and does not cause any clogged pores or acne. Generally when I need something light for the warm weather I would reach for clinique ddmg, but sometimes it wasn't enough. Cremo feels as light as the clinique, but slightly more hydrating. I've gone through a whole bottle and would repurchase in a heartbeat. I haven't found a moisturizer with such a nice formula at such a low price, and the bottle is a nice size so it lasts a few months. If you have acne prone skin, or oily skin and are looking for something light that sinks right in, I would check this out.

Cleansers -Kose - Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 12:46:00 PM
My first ever cleansing oil was clinique's take the day off cleansing balm, and while I liked it, I wanted to try something more affordable. I purchased the kose on recommendations from the skin care board and can say I'm quite pleased with it. It's not great, but it's not bad either. The pros: It takes my makeup off, as intended. Smells nice, like an orange creamsicle. The price $11. The cons: Feels very thick, doesn't rinse off super clean. Stings my eyes. I've used up a whole bottle, and while I would consider repurchasing, I'm not, as I'd prefer something with a thinner consistency that rinses off better.

Lip Gloss -The Body Shop - Love Gloss
loveableqtpie212 5/14/2013 12:35:00 PM
I love this lipgloss. I tend to go for tinted lip balms more than gloss, but I like these even more. They have a very smooth, non sticky moisturizing feel. I love the applicator, applies the right amount of product,I have it in no.18, which is a pretty tangerine with very tiny, non-gritty gold shimmer. I also have it in no.4, which is a very flattering nude warm brown. No.04 is HG material, I have a hard time finding nude lip colors that don't wash me out or make my lips disappear into my nc42 skintone.

Treatments -Silk Naturals - -Super Serum
loveableqtpie212 5/13/2013 4:19:00 PM
I've used bha's and aha's for years, and they've been great to keep my skin clear and pretty even, however something was missing. This has been the missing ingredient in my skincare regimen. It is my first vitamin C serum and I am extremely pleased with it. I have acne-prone skin and so far am not having any negative reactions. I've been using the serum daily for about 3 weeks and my skintone has never looked this even before. No more splotchiness or redness, no more dullness. Words can not describe how happy I am with this serum, not to mention how affordable it is for a product that truly delivers.

Eyeliner -Milani - Eye Tech Extreme
loveableqtpie212 5/13/2013 4:14:00 PM
This is my all time HG liquid eyeliner. I've repurchased this several times and have gotten friends and family hooked on it as well. It is a nice rich black liquid eyeliner which lasts all day, and is a breeze to apply. I used to have trouble applying liquid e/l, but Milani's changed that. I can apply a nice even line in under a minute for each eye. The best thing is that I can finally achieve that sexy cat eye look with this liner. I do not use it everyday now, about 3x a week, but my first tube lasted me about 3 months with almost daily use. Walk, no Run!! to get this e/l.

Eye Primer -Wet 'n' Wild - Fergie Take on the Day Eyeshadow Primer
loveableqtpie212 5/13/2013 4:08:00 PM
Wow, I am simply amazed by how well this primer works for the price. I used to love UDPP, but had to search for a new primer bc the formula no longer worked on me when they changed the packaging, and my lids aren't super oily. When my backups of the original UDPP finished, I purchased Lorac's primer, but eyeshadow did not last as long. Luckily, the wnw primer came out, as I was going to purchase Nars, which I thought was too expensive. The wnw primer performs like the original UDPP on me. It really grabs on to skin and keeps shadow vibrant and crease free all day. If you are searching for a new primer, it wouldn't hurt to try this one out since it is so affordable.

Concealers -Tarte - Maracuja creaseless concealer
loveableqtpie212 5/13/2013 4:03:00 PM
I'm nc42 and the shade med/tan matched perfectly. I liked this at first but noticed it would start to crease and fade after about 3/4 hours on me. No matter how much I set it with LM brightening powder, or tried a different technique to apply, it still creased. It has a nice full coverage, but it is definitely suited for dry skin since it is so creamy. I also did not like how hard the tube was to get any product out. I will not be repurchasing.

Concealers -NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer
loveableqtpie212 5/13/2013 4:00:00 PM
I think I have found my HG concealer. I love EL double wear concealer but sometimes it can look a little dry. This one is comparable in lasting power, but the finish looks more like "skin". It lasts all day and does not crease. At first the SA matched my NC42 skintone to Ginger, and so I purchased ginger, but was unhappy with it and returned it. Ginger matched my skintone pretty well, but it still left a shadow. And, since it was lighter, it looked a little cake-y. When I returned ginger, I purchased tarte's concealer in med/tan which was a perfect match, but unfortunately it creased half way through the day and faded (more suited for very dry skin). I decided to give the Nars another go and went a shade up to Biscuit. Biscuit is perfect, it covers well, and does not leave a showdow, nor look cake-y. It is darker than my skintone so I have to wear a TM to help it match, but I always wear TM anyways. When summer comes around I usually end up NC45 and I know it will match perfectly. I'll probably repurchase Ginger again at some point to mix with Biscuit to get a perfect match depending on the season.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner
loveableqtpie212 5/13/2013 3:51:00 PM
I'm a huge fan of revlon colorstay, so I decided to try this one out. I prefer pencil e/l in retractable tubes for on the go since there is no need to sharpen, however I find the drugstore color selection slacking. Sephora has tons of shades. I've tried 3 so far, and have been very pleased. They stay on all day and do not smudge like UD 24/7 do on me. I wish they were a little cheaper which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5, but overall I am very happy with them and continue to buy more.
