This is the limited edition top coat from the 2012 fall James Bond Skyfall collection. It is a gorgeous topcoat that is 18 karat gold flakes. Turnout: 4.5/5 Application: 3.5/5 Once this polish is on it is very pretty. Little gold flecks all over your nails, and I like the fact that the flecks are different shapes and sizes. Makes for a lovely topcoat. The application was OK. I put on two coats, and the liquid that the gold flecks are in is pretty thick, so I had to dab them on a bit. Wish there was less liquid and more flecks, as it would be easier to apply then. Overall, I do not regret buying this polish. I'm a huge James Bond fan and it's pretty neat having real gold on your fingertips. It retails for $40, so it is really up to you if it's worth the price.

This is a "blurple" colour from the 2012 Fall James Bond Skyfall collection. It is half-purple-half-blue and has a lovely shine to it. Colour: 5/5 Application: 4/5 This colour is gorgeous, the pictures online don't do it justice. It's a gorgeous shiny indigo. In the bottle it looks more purple, but you can definitely see the blue in it once it's on. Completely unique colour. Application was quite good. Took two coats for full opacity, dried fairly quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Polishes -OPI - The World Is Not Enough

This is a wonderful polish from the 2012 James Bond "Skyfall" collection. It is a taupey shimmer with a rose gold hue. Colour: 5/5 Application: 4/5 Overall I absolutely adore this polish. It is a gorgeous taupe microglitter with a rosey tint. It almost reminds me of my favourite OPI (Warm & Fozzie) but lighter and with a pinkish hue. Love love love love it. And it's James Bond themed, so it's automatically awesome. The application was good as well. It dried quickly and I think I only used two coats. Overall, I'd DEFINITELY recommend this polish!

Polishes -Essie - A Crewed Interest

This is a sad case of a pretty colour having a horrible formula. It is a gorgeous nice pinky-peach colour. Great neutral. I wouldn't know anything else about it, seeing it didn't even last an hour on my nnails- that's how bad it smudged. Application: 1/5 Colour Turnout: 3.5/5 I cannot express how much of a disappointment this nail polish was. I was looking forward to having a great pinky-peach neutral. I put like four coats on, drying time was awful, horrible mess to try and make it opaque and not streaky. I waited forever for it to dry, but it just ended up smearing everywhere. I never even got a chance to wear it, because it smudged immediately. And not like a minor smudge, as a messed up all my nails so horribly you can't fix it. DO NOT BUY THIS POLISH!

Polishes -Essie - Pilates Hottie

This is my favourite Essie polish ever- and I'd go as far to say one of the best polishes I've ever used (and I own hundreds of polishes). It is from Essie's fall 2012 collection "Yogaga" and it is a light dusty lavendar. Application: 4.5/5 Colour Turnout: 5/5 It took two coats for full opacity. Went on very well, dried quickly, not streaking at all. The colour is just perfection. It is the only "purple neutral" I have ever come across. It's very subdued, but more interesting than other neutrals I've used. Good for conservative environments, but it is still not ultra conservative. Just a perfect colour. I also want to note how amazing the lasting power of this polish is. My nails always chip within the first couple of days (And this is using high quality polishes, a base coat, and a top coat). This polish has been on for three days and barely has a scratch. Absolutely amazed- it has held up better than any other polish I've tried. Buy this polish, you will not regret it!

So I have mixed feelings about this polish. I usually go for colours that are completely opaque, but this one is a little sheer for me. It is a nice pale pink, and you will be able to see visible nail line with this one. Colour Turnout: 3.5/5 Application: 4/5 So the colour is a veryyyy pretty pale pink. I believe it would look great on most skin tones. It's just enough colour for your hands to look put-together, professional, and feminine. If you like sheer-er polishes than I would definitely recommend it. I'm not used to sheer polishes, but I still quite like the colour. The application was quite good. I only did two coats (maybe less VNL with three?). Trying time was good and it didn't go on all gloopy, as I find with many light coloured polishes. Make sure you get a newer bottle of this polish, as the consistency of the older bottles is awful. I had a bottle before that I just ended up returning because it was an old formula and was plain awful. I just bought a new bottle recently though and had no problems with application.

Polishes -OPI - Just Spotted the Lizard

This is from OPI's 2012 Spiderman collection. It is a coppery-green with a metallic finish. Application: 4/5 Colour Turnout: 4.5/5 I do really love this colour, although it looks a little different in the bottle than on your nails. In the bottle it looks like a goldy-green, but mostly green. On your nails in some lights it looks completely copper. I still adore the colour, as green is my favourite colour and I am a sucker for green polishes. The application was great as well. Two coats did the trick, and there was no streakiness. It dried quite fast as well. Overall, a great polish!

Polishes -OPI - Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!
rated 4 of 5
loriann52 10/7/2012 11:51:00 AM

This is from OPI's 2012 fall Germany collection. It is a dark grey-blue-black colour that has a creme finish. Application: 3.5/5 Colour Turnout: 5/5 I really love this colour, as it is a dark colour but it is unique from others. I find with most dark OPI polishes, no matter what the undertone colour is (purple, red, brown), the dark colours always turn out just looking plain black. This one is an exception- it is very dark, but you can still tell it's not black. In the bottle it looks like a dark gray, but there are major navy undertones in it. I absolutely love it for fall. I love creme finish, but I used a matte topcoat and it looks so good with it! The application was alright. The first coat was quite blotchy, but the second coat completely fixed all that and there was no more blotchiness. The drying time was very good as well. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this, especially for fall!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush
rated 3 of 5
loriann52 10/7/2012 11:46:00 AM

I usually never stray from my HG mascara (L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes) but I had a coupon for this mascara, and it was one sale, so for like $2 I decided it was worth a shot. Surprisingly, I quite liked this mascara! I bought it in waterproof, and although I haven't tested that out to the fullest, it does stand up to my eyes watering! I really like how it goes on, I find it really separates my lashes and the formula does go on nice and thin, so you don't get that rigid lash look. It does smudge the tiniest bit. Most mascaras do on me though, so that may be more more than the mascara. Overall, I was surprisingly impressed with this mascara. It definitely won't replace my Million Lashes, but I would buy it again for sure.

Polishes -OPI - Don't Pretzel My Buttons

This is an amazing creme beige nude colour from OPI's 2012 Germany collection. Application: 4/5 Colour Turnout: 5/5 I am absolutely in love with this colour. It is the absolute perfect beige-nude. I find most beiges to be kind of "blah" on but this one is just lovely. It almost has a hint of a blush colour (not much, just a tad). Amazing creme finish (my fav!). Perfect for conservative polish wearers (I personally go wild with nail polish colours, but like to wear nice neutrals for work). The application was great. I used two coats, could almost get away with one though. Didn't go on streaky or gloopy, dried quickly as well. Overall, I'd definitely recommend!

Polishes -OPI - Number One Nemisis

This is a great grey sparkle polish from OPIs 2012 Spiderman collection. It is a very unique colour, as it almost has a dark green undertone to it as well. Application: 4/5 Colour Turnout: 4.5/5 Overall this is a great polish. It's a dark-greenish-gray with loads of glitter that's almost a mixture of silver and gold. It went on smoothly, only took two coats for full opacity. Dried quite quickly as well. I'd definitely recommend it!

Polishes -OPI - Chocolate Moose
rated 5 of 5
loriann52 9/28/2012 8:41:00 PM

This is a really lovely chocolate colour. I think of chocolate milk when I see it, because it's not super dark- it's more of a chocolatey-taupe. I like it because it is a good neutral, and I work in a fairly conservative environment. Application: 4.5/5 Colour Turnout: 5/5 The application was great- completely opaque in two coats. Dried quickly, and no streaks! The colour payoff was also great. I would definitely recommend.

Polishes -OPI - Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It
rated 2 of 5
loriann52 9/27/2012 11:05:00 AM

This is a pink glitter topcoat from 2012 Minnie Mouse collection. It is fine pink glitter with chunks of pink hearts. Application: 1.5/5 Turnout: 3/5 This topcoat is just not worth the hassle. I knew topcoats like this can be tricky, but it was absolutely ridiculous. It is nearly impossible to get the hearts onto your nails. You have to scoop them out with a brush, and this just gets all gloopy on your nail. Just a nightmare. It's pretty cute once it's on, but I found it made my nails look cheap and young. I put it over "If You Moust, You Moust" and I hateeee it. Cheap and tacky. This topcoat might work better over a lighter pink polish. I wouldn't recommend it, because it just is not worth the hassle. Much better topcoats out there.

Polishes -OPI - If You Moust You Moust
rated 4 of 5
loriann52 9/27/2012 10:56:00 AM

This is a very vibrant neon pink from the 2012 Minnie Mouse collection. Very super girly pink. Application: 5/5 Colour Turnout: 4/5 This polish would easily be a 5/5 if I loved the colour. I loved it in the bottle, but it's just so not me at all. As much as I try to like bright girly pinks on me, I can never get myself to like them. It went on flawlessly in two coats, and had a great creme finish. I personally would not buy it again, because I rarely wear pinks, but I voted "yes" because I would recommend it. One of the best formulas I've come across.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Cherish
rated 4 of 5
loriann52 9/8/2012 6:33:00 PM

This is a nice cool pink tone. I am fair skinned and my lips aren't very pigmented, so it turned out brighter on me than it would on darker skin tones. I have bought ten out of the twelve of these. They are by far the best lip product I have tried in quite some time. You can choose easily how vibrant the colour is (you can apply just a little for a nice hint of colour, or apply it in layers to build it up). I have found that regular lip stains dry out your lips horribly, and settle into any cracks you may have. This is not the case with these balm stains- these go on just like a moisturizing lipstick. They have a glossy sheen to them and over time the colour fades into a stain. It is a very natural looking stain and it looks gorgeous. I love how they won't come off your lips- so they definitely are "kissable"! They smell of mint at first, but the smell fades quickly. Also, they are tasteless (which is definitely better than having an awful taste like most lip products). Also, the packaging is perfect because there is no need for a sharpener- it just twists up. I am so glad that I tried these stains! None of them have been a disappointment so far!
