I absolutely ADORE the original Issey. This one smells nothing at all like the original but shares similarity to Chanels Cristalle but this to me is much fresher.. I was sceptical at first but now own a bottle, it smells like you've stepped out of the shower, it is fresh and clean, give it a while to settle, it really is lovely.

Fragrances -Cacharel - Scarlett
rated 4 of 5
lorenbarton000 7/29/2009 10:32:00 AM

This is the newest Cacharel fragrance obviously named after Scarlett Johansson... I think that is a beautiful name, I also think the bottle is GORGEOUS... The smell is extremely pretty, a pretty floral, I don't think it resembles Anais Anais in any way only that they are both florals.... It reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parker's Pure Bloom, the one with the purple juice. At first spray you can smell the juicy citrus and pear it then turns and you can smell the jasmine, orange blossom and honeysuckle and last of all the white musk and sandlewood... Like I said if you like pretty florals you will love this. I didn't find the staying power great but all I need do is reapply... The smell isn't unique in any way like Eden and Lou Lou however it is very wearable and a true classic floral......

Fragrances -Donna Karan - Be Delicious Fresh Blossom EDP
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 7/29/2009 10:17:00 AM

Absolutely love it.... I find the original and the red BE DELICIOUS way too strong, they both make me nauseous... This one still has the same fresh smell, only softer, much softer with a touch of grapefruit. I admit the staying power isn't anywhere near as strong as the other two but it is still beautiful and very wearable for all year round. I love fresh smells and I find this fragrance PERFECT..... I just hope it sells as well as the other two and doesn't end up discontinued.....

Fragrances -Gucci - Flora by Gucci EDT
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 4/17/2009 8:56:00 AM

OK so I LOVE THIS.... I love the freshness and love the bottle... I can definately see the similarities to "EXCLAMATION" but I love it and could wear it forever... My only gripe would be the lasting power... I cannot seem to smell it on my skin after a couple of hours, I may get the lotion.. Maybe others can smell it on me, I have dry skin, that could be why I cannot seem to smell it ... Anyhow, I love it and find it very non-offensive and a very different floral to all those others out there.... VERY NICE .... Oh and I hope it sells well so it won't be discontinued.....

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Pure White Linen- Light Breeze
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 4/2/2008 7:32:00 AM

Firstly I will start by saying that I adore citrusy fragrances, when I first started wearing fragrance in the early 90's citrus was all the rage and as I am nearing mid 30's I adore many different fragrances but citrus, cucumber, watermelon and fresh smelling notes/fragrances are still my favourite and the ones that most make my nostril hairs stand up, that said I LOVE this fragrance. Is is definately refreshing, sparkling and vibrant with its notes of darjeeling tea, bergamot, orange zest, white grapefruit, colourful florals, sheer woods, water kumquat, freesia and rose petals. It is to me truely devine and the perfect fragrance to live in all year round... It is so not obtrusive and wouldn't knock anybody in an office or an enclosed space out with its strength. It is truely gorgeous and enough to put a spring into anyone's step on those dreary bitter cold Winter days. PERFECT ....

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Beyond Paradise Blue
rated 3 of 5
lorenbarton000 11/9/2007 5:50:00 PM

I prefer this fragrance over the original Beyond Paradise. A shimmering floral fragrance inspired by the world of blue that only surrounds you on an island paradise, it has a citrus accord which the original does not. It's a beachy summery fragrance, long lasting and perfect for hot summer days. I like it.

Fragrances -Tommy Hilfiger - Dreaming
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 11/9/2007 5:17:00 PM

This is a beautiful new fragrance by Tommy Hilfiger. It is described as a delicate white flower bouquet with notes of white peach, tuberose, white hibiscus, white woods and florentine lily. It is truely divine and on first spritz this delicious smell of peach fills the air. I just love it and cannot wait for the body products to arrive. It is extremely different from anything new being produced today. If it had to smell similar to something I have smelt I would say 'Maybe Baby' would be the closest fragrance to it. It is sooooooo pretty, fresh and worth every penny.

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Beautiful Love
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 4/8/2007 7:33:00 AM

It took me a little while to come round with this one. I now really like it, don't overspray and wait a little while for it to settle on the skin, it smells divine a couple of hours later. I can't wait for Estee Lauder to bring out the body lotion and shower gel so as the layering affect can take place. The fragrance is definately a white floral and upon first spray I smell the Mango Mist the most, it's other notes are:- lush magnolia blossom, white jasmine, heliotrope and vetiver. None of the 3 beautiful's smell even the slightest bit similar.

Fragrances -Escada - Into the blue
rated 3 of 5
lorenbarton000 2/1/2007 7:05:00 AM

I like this new Escada fragrance not enough to purchase though. It does share very similar notes to that of Davidoff's Coolwater for Women. I do love it's freshness but cannot get passed the fact that it reminds me of mens aftershave. I swear I have smelt something similar on my husband. It's not floral, feminine and pretty by any means, more masculine, fresh and uplifting.

Fragrances -Cacharel - Anais Anais
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 1/30/2007 7:06:00 AM

Anais Anais was one of the first fragrances I owned together with Chloe and Lou Lou. I hadn't used if for many years but have just now decided to come back to it. It is a really pretty soft floral suited to all age groups. It's a true classic which will never date. The bottle is so nice sitting on your dressing table. I would definately repurchase and always keep a bottle in my fragrance collection.

Fragrances -Givenchy - Ysatis
rated 4 of 5
lorenbarton000 11/21/2006 6:33:00 AM

This is an oldie but a goodie. I have actually just stumbled across this one of late having not worn it for 17 years or so when it first came out. I actually owned a bottle then but have not in between. I think my tastes have matured a bit of late and I just LOVE IT again. I worked with a lady some years back who used to drown herself in it and it used to make me nauseated. If worn lightly it is such an elegant soft woody fragrance. Its notes consist of mandarin, oakmoss, rose, vanilla, iris, clove and amber. The bottle isn't to attractive but the fragrance itself is a true classic. WARNING - Use with a light hand....

Fragrances -Cacharel - Noa Perle
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 11/16/2006 5:20:00 AM

This is the newest fragrance from Cacharel... I wasn't a huge fan of the original Noa, Noa Fleur was maybe a little better but as for Noa Perle so far, I really do like it. I don't feel it resembles either of the first 2 in any way. It is the same bottle but the juice is a mauve/purple colour. It is a unique smell. I don't or cannot recognise any other exotic fruity fragrance that smells remotely similar to it, it's extremely unique and just plain pretty. I think the freesia stands out in this one. It's contents contain notes of pink pepper, kumquat, white peony, freesia, orange blossom and hazelnut blossom. My favourite Cacharel fragrances to date would be Promesse and Eden but this would now have to be number 3 on my list. My only gripe would be the staying power, it isn't one of those you can smell on your clothes nor skin come the end of the day. I recommend carrying it in your handbag and spritzing throughout the day or investing in the body lotion and doing the whole layering thing ... Dam nice though....

Fragrances -Lancome - Miracle Forever
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 10/29/2006 11:36:00 PM

I smelt this new Miracle Forever today. I agree with the reviewer below who says it smells like Mont Blanc Femme. It to me, is identical. I LOVE IT... I would be more inclined to wear this over the Mont Blanc as I feel the lasting power is double. I am a fan of Miracle So Magic, the original mmmmm sometimes yeah and sometimes no. I like this one the best out of all 3 and I hope it does well so it doesn't become discontinued. It is a much more modern upbeat smell and classed as a woody oriental. I find it very sweet and can really smell the fruity blackcurrant. Notes consist of almond-blossom, blackcurrant bud, peony, star anise, lilly of the valley, heliotrope, tuberose, vanilla, patchouli and amber. I'm a fan and it will be on my Christmas list for sure.

Fragrances -Bulgari - Green Tea
rated 5 of 5
lorenbarton000 10/6/2006 9:30:00 AM

I adore this in Summer. I sprayed it today having not worn it at all throughout Winter and remembered how damn good it is. I'm a fan of Bvlgari fragrances. I have the EXTREME version of this fragrance and it's the only version I would buy as its lasting power is twice as strong as the other version. It is a really soft, green, citrus, clean smelling fragrance. The initial spray though is nothing like what it dries down to after a couple of hours. Expensive but well worth the $$$$$$$ especially if it lasts the whole day.
