Blush -Physicians Formula - Sexy Booster - Sexy Glow Blush in Natural
rated 5 of 5

I love the glowy peachy pink flush it leaves on my cheeks. The high heel in the center is a brighter pink. I just twirl everything together for a perfect spring cheek pastel color. It's great for fair skin. On darker skin tones it could work as well to highligh the tops of the apples of the cheek. While it is not shimmery it leaves a glowy satin finish. I actually like the vanilla floral scent and don't find it to be strong at all. Overall, it's one of my new favorite blushes, and given how many blushes I own, it's saying alot. Here are some shade comparisons: It's lighter and pinker than Benefit Coralista. It's lighter and more warm toned than MAC Well Dressed. It's warmer and peachier than Benefit Dandelion. It's pinker, not shimmery, and more pigmented than Hard Candy Honeymoon. It's lighter, more peachy, and less pigmented than Chanel Rose Initiale

Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Eye booster eyeliner + serum
rated 4 of 5

While I this liner really hasn't really improved my lashes, it's a great fine tipped liner. I really like the formula, the rich black pigmentation, and the precise tip of the liner. Some liners are too stiff to work with. This liner's tip is just perfect for drawing a great cat eye. The sleek silver packaging looks high end and is convenient. The only downsides of this liner are its price which is on the high side for drugstore and it dries up quickly.

Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Fake Out Mascara
rated 3 of 5

Bottom-line: It's an ok mascara. Nothing great. It doesn't volumize as much as CG Lash Blast. This formula is supposed to have fibers in it, but the formula is exactly the same as the PF Jumbo Lash mascara (the green one). For a better fiber mascara, I prefer Falsies. I'm done with trying PF's overpriced mascaras.

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude
rated 5 of 5
lola88 3/4/2013 12:52:00 PM

Had I known about this liner I would not have purchased the NARS Rue Bonaparte liner. Rimmel's liner is a shade darker and needs to be sharpened. NARS is lighter and is a twist up. While I do prefer the NARS over Rimmel, I don't like it enough to justify the price difference. Rimmel is a close enough cheap drugstore dupe. Both are equally pigmented. Rimmel is actually a bit more creamy than NARS. Both last an equal amount of time on my waterline.

Eyeliner -NARS - Rue bonaparte

This WAS my holy nude waterproof eyeliner. but then I found the Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal in 005 Nude. Rimmel is a shade darker and has to be sharpened. I prefer NARS packaging in that the liner is a twist up so never needs to be sharpened. I also prefer the lighter shade of NARS. Both last on my lower waterline. But NARS is $23 and Rimmel's is less than half the price on sale. While I'll use up my NARS and continue to enjoy it, I will not repurchase when the drugstore dupe is close enough for a fraction of the price.

Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara
rated 4 of 5

It's a nice mascara, but not really the best I've tried from the drugstore in terms of volumizing. This is as if Physician's Formula tried their best at replicating CoverGirl Lash Blast. While the organic mascara is volumizing, I do get more volume with Lash Blast. I do appreciate the organic aspect of the mascara though. It is certainly pricey for a drugstore mascara though.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - 8 Hr Infallible Le Gloss
rated 4 of 5
lola88 1/21/2013 12:47:00 PM

The color Pretty Precious - a nude pinkish beige - is an exact dupe for MAC's Lip Gelee in Resort Life in shade. Resort Life was part of MAC's Lily Pulizer collection and was later released in the Venomous Villains collection with a picture of Disney's Dr. Facilier on the tube. I like the texture of L'Oreal better than MAC. L'Oreal's gloss goes on a bit thick and then dries down. It by no means last 8 hours but because it dries down it lasts longer than most glosses. I regret buying the MAC gloss when this is a cheaper dupe that I actually like better. It has pink and silver micro glitter in it and looks beautiful on top of many different lipsticks. It also looks great on it's on since it is pigmented enough to have it's on beigy pink color.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Barely Branded Color Tattoo
rated 4 of 5
lola88 1/11/2013 1:17:00 PM

I missed out on Barely Beige so I was really glad to see that Maybelline released another neutral shade. It is creamy, frosty, and dries fast. I use these as eyeshadow bases so I need to work fast at layering shadow on top before it sets. It is my 5th Color Tattoo, and it seems pretty creamy.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Too Cool
rated 3 of 5
lola88 1/11/2013 12:19:00 PM

Although this is a nice white base, I still prefer the GOSH Mineral Eyeshadow stick since the GOSH is easier to use and a bit creamier. I would not repurchase this since the GOSH one is better. As far as the Maybelline color tattoos go, this is my 5th one and it is creamier than Tough as Taupe which is a bit on the dry side. If you are using this as an eyeshadow base, you have to work fast as it sets very quickly. Once it sets and is dry, it's very hard to blend. It has little micro particles of glitter in it that made it a tad less smooth compared to the other Color Tattoos.

I'm surprised these are not more popular. They make really great eyeshadow bases. They go on creamy but not too creamy. The tube is really convenient.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Moleskin (matte)
rated 4 of 5
lola88 12/3/2012 12:48:00 PM

In the pan the closest match to Moleskin is Kid (Veluxe). Kid is a a softer, more buttery texture and a bit lighter and warmer. Moleskin is a bit darker and cooler. I have both and like them both, but I like Kid more because it feels softer and smoother because of the Veluxe finish. So if you couldn't get Moleskin, Kid is a nice alternative. I purchased Moleskin from my CCO for $10.50.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 222 Tapered Blending Brush [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
lola88 12/3/2012 11:57:00 AM

This is a great underrated brush! It is perfect for my smaller eyes. I also own the 217 and 224. It has white goat hair like the 217 but is longer and thus less stiff than the 217. I've been using the 217 for 6 years but find that it is a bit too big for my eyes compared to the 222. Now with the 222 I can precisely apply the crease color and transition color exactly where I want it without overblending (like with the 217) and making a muddy/overblended mess. The color is blended exactly where I want it to be blended on the eye. Now I can blend my transition color where I want it and blend my crease color where I want it without overlapping them overly much. It really has changed my application for the better. It costs $21 at CCO which is more expensive than the 217 (which is $23 at retail, $17 at CCO) but the 222 is really worth it for precisely blended application.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Big Bounce in Trophy
rated 2 of 5
lola88 11/27/2012 12:56:00 PM

I do use this as a primer as I would a paint pot. I do not have oily lids to so it does work ok for that purpose, but not great. Paint pots do work easier and are easier to apply. I find that if you layer shadow on top of Trophy while it is still damp it works better as a base than when it is complete dry. It can be worn on its own too of course but it will crease for sure. . The color is a mauvey pink with some shimmer. I find the application and packaging very messy. It would have been nicer in a tube. It's ok just nothing great. I got it at CCO for $11.75 but would not repurchase this again.

Lipstick -Tom Ford - 01- Spanish pink
rated 5 of 5
lola88 11/25/2012 3:08:00 PM

I have over 100 lipsticks and this is the best lipstick from any line that I have ever tried. The color is that perfect warm tones peachy pink The packaging is black and gold and completely luxurious in the weight and feel of this lipstick It snaps when you close the container The texture is creamy smooth and moisturizing yet very very pigmented and full coverage It is surprisingly long lasting on me The formula is much better than Ysl rouge volupte or pur couture Better than any Chanel formula Bobbi brown or Mac or Lancôme or any other brand does not have a formula as luxurious as this There is a hint if vanilla scent The price tag is a steep 48 retail or 33.75 at C C O but it is hands down my favorite lipstick At least for now;)

The color of this concealer is alot like YSL Touche Eclat #1 but the consistency is thicker. I definitley recommend this concealer. It's great for undereye darkness.
