Concealers -Amazing Cosmetics - Amazing Concealer
lnoel4274 1/30/2011 11:09:00 AM
I have repurchased this twice already. Hands down the most natural looking concealer for under eyes IMO. Not going to go into color choices bc that is something that you would need to decide for yourself. The packaging could use an upgrade; it woudn't hurt to go from a tube to a pump instead, but that would probably make the price go up...so nevermind! It is pricey, but I rated it a 3 on the price scale since it lasts so long. You really only need a small amount; like a grain of rice size for each eye. This is what I do: first apply to my finger, then pat with my finger- not too much patting though. I let that set while I groom my brows, then I use a velour pouf to apply Benefit's Powderflage in a rolling motion. Perfect undereyes! For reference, I have brown undereye circles and they are VERY noticeable w/o concealer so Amazing Concealer is definitely heavy-duty stuff up to the job!!

Self Tanners -Sally Hansen - Airbrush Legs in Nude Glow
lnoel4274 4/5/2010 1:21:00 PM
So, what I did: Sprayed this directly onto a Sonia Kashuk blender (the blue or purple one-doesnt matter) and stippled this onto my legs (knees down) then I sprayed with MAC fix plus and kinda went back over certain spots with the sponge again. Result was excellent! My legs went from neon white to lightly sun-kissed. I wore this with a dress so I did not experience any transferring to speak of. If I was going to use this every day, I would spray with a mix of glycerin and water instead of fix plus to save money.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Eye Brightener 2012 Reformulation
lnoel4274 12/30/2009 5:02:00 PM
This is my first day using it. I applied it this morning and I must say I am liking what I am seeing. I went from using MUFE Life Concealer to this and I can say with the utmost confidence, this stuff blows MUFE Lift away, along with countless other concealers I have tried, including another Bobbi Brown one. The finish alone is worth it's weight in gold. I had a revelation today: What is the point of wearing undereye concealer if the finish is crumbly, dry and spackle looking? I would rather have something that is light and smooth, even though it might not be the best at *hiding* the circles, than to have wrinkly, patchy undereyes with no circles visible. If you really think about it..which is more repulsive? a tiny bit of your circles showing through but a nice, even, non-makeupy finish? or disgusting caked on concealer eyes that completely cover your circles but leave a horrid mess behind? That being said, this is *not* going to completely cover your circles if they are bown/blue/almost black like mine. BUT it will give *some* coverage without compromising the natural beauty of your real skin. The finish is almost comparable to YSL Touche Eclat The price tag is almost similar too $38. All in all, this will be it for me. I can finally say that I am happy with the appearance of my circles. For reference, when i purchased the Bobbi Brown corrector a while back, I was matched to the "Bisque" shade. When I went in this time, again I was matched to the "Bisque" shade but I felt the color was too light, making my circles look gray. I told her to try the "Light Peach" shade on me and and first she didnt think it would work, but after she applied it, she had to agree, it did look a lot more natural. For reference I wear MAC N5 SF Powder. Hope this helps!!

Palettes -Urban Decay - Get Baked Palette [DISCONTINUED]
lnoel4274 12/29/2009 5:20:00 PM
I am seeing a lot of people saying they cannot find this pallette anymore. Just wanted to let everyone know that you can get it at Sephora now for onlt $18 and they added a mini Primer Potion in "Sin". Oh yeah, they are great colors, the liner is great. The "Sin" PP is meh.

Treatments (Eye) -StriVectin - SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles
lnoel4274 10/19/2009 1:28:00 PM
I am using the generic Walgreen's version of this stuff, got it for $15.00 All I can say is WHOA! If the Walgreen's version works this good, I can only imagine what the real stuff does. I can't believe my eyes (literally). This is day 3 I have been using this only at night and my dark circles and lines have diminished considerably. This morning I was patting myself on the back thinking I had finally mastered my undereye concealer technique because my purple/brown circles were almost non-existent, but then I remembered I have been using the Strivectin cream and was seriously blown away. I will definitely repurchase.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Waterproof Voluminous Carbon Black
lnoel4274 10/15/2009 5:16:00 PM
Why oh why do I buy items impulsively BEFORE I read reviews? This mascara is crap. How on earth does a "waterproof" mascara smudge? I am not an eye-rubber, my eyes don't water, and I work indoors in an air-conditioned building. Yet my eyes look like I have been snorting crack in the bathroom at work all day...that is how bad this stuff smudged under my eyes. It's like a practical joke...it does the EXACT opposite of what the package claims it will do.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Abreva Docosanol 10% Cream for Cold Sores
lnoel4274 9/14/2009 7:50:00 PM
I have used this for quite some time now. My cold sores are triggered by prolonged sun exposure. The moment I feel a tingle, I apply this and it pretty much keeps the cold sore from spreading or developing into a grotesque blister. My mom used to use Campho-Phenique on my lips as a kid and all that did was dry it out until it carcked and bled. Abreva seems to keep the cold sore "content" and not so angry lol. Abreva is a very welcomed improvement compared to that other stuff!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen Mascara (waterproof)
lnoel4274 8/28/2009 6:37:00 PM
I should have read the reviews for this. As others have stated, I like the original L'Oreal Voluminous mascara and have had pretty good luck with most of their products, but this stuff was horrible. #1 Dried way too fast and looked clumpy and stiff #2 The brush is too big for my li'l lashes #3 By the time I got home my eyelashes were GRAY from the product flaking off and just losing it's pigmentation. I have never had this problem before so I think it's something within the formulation. And maybe I am mistaken, but wouldn't the word "Collagen" in the title imply that this product has some sort of lush feel or added some softmess to your lashes? I find it did quite the opposite. I am already going to look for another mascara, can't bring myself to use this one fully.

Mascara -Revlon - Double Twist Waterproof
lnoel4274 7/30/2009 1:13:00 AM
I have not tried this, and probably wont. I just wanted to say that when I saw the add in my Glamour magazine I instantly recognized that this was a crap product. Just by the way that Jessica Alba's eyelashes looked, I knew this was going to be junk. I know most adds use false eyelashes anyway, but at least the lashes look good in the add. Hers just look funky...check it out to see what I am talking about. For some reason, Revlon just cant get their mascara formulas up to par. Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Juice - Butterscotch Drop
lnoel4274 4/28/2009 5:01:00 PM
LOVE! I have stocked up on this just in case they DC it. It is so perfect, just a nice natural caramely-peach color. People ask me all the time what gloss I am wearing when I use this.A co-worker asked me what I was wearing and I told her L'oreal Butterscotch Drop. A few weeks later I was chatting with her and noticed she had such a pretty lip gloss on that really suited her skin tone. I asked her what she was wearing...she giggled and said it was the butterscotch gloss!! We almost died laughing. For reference, she is a tan filipina and I am about as white (in complexion) as they come!! So you KNOW it works for a wide range of skin tones! Just go buy it!! It looks great on almost anyone! You WILL have people comment on how pretty it is.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Superstay Gloss - Beaming Blush #105
lnoel4274 3/30/2009 7:51:00 PM
Love the color, love the formula. Color stay lipsticks have come a lonnnng way...PERIOD! This is a MAJOR improvement from the color stay type colors I remember from junior high. The only thing I don't like about it is the packaging. If you store it lying on it's side like most everyone does, you will see that the clear gloss leaks and gets ALL over your MU bag! Other than that, I am def gonna try the rest of the colors.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Certain Dri
lnoel4274 3/14/2009 5:41:00 PM
I love this product. I even went to the gym and didn't sweat under my arms..amazing! I hear that if you stop sweat under your arms that the sweat will just redirect somewhere else, but I haven't noticed any excessive sweating in other parts of my body which is STELLAR! The last thing I wanted was extra sweaty feet in exchange for dry pits! I take a shower at night and then wait 15 minutes before application. In the morning, I take another shower, shave my underarms and then apply my regular anit-persirant afterwards Result: NO irritation, dry underarms ALL DAY! Run out and buy this stuff.

Treatments (Eye) -Merle Norman - LUXIVA® Wrinkle Smoother Eye
lnoel4274 2/20/2009 3:23:00 PM
I just got this yesterday so as far as results go, I am not sure yet. I love the texture, but am I the only person who feels a burning sensation on their eyes when this is applied? It's not something so absolutely unbearable that I want to take it off immediately, but it is uncomfortable. Not sure if maybe it's the witch hazel in it? I put it on yesterday and it stung like hell, but then this morning the stinging was a little less in intensity. Maybe this is something that I must acquire a tolerance for? I will update in a few weeks on whether or not I see any improvements. **EDIT** Have seen NO difference in my eye wrinkles and I used it religiously. bleh
