Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Revitalift Miracle Blur
rated 1 of 5

I received a sample of this in this month's Allure magazine. I'm always looking to try new primers, and this sample had just enough for one application. I should have read the reviews on here before I tried this product. :-( The consistency reminds me of wall spackle/paste. I had to spread and re-spread this product as it balled in some places and flaked near my hairline. I only wear loose powder, and my powder caked so I had to smooth out my face with a pancake sponge. A half hour later, on my way to the office, the burning started around my eyes. Not a mild burn, but a *OMG GET ME ICE NOW* burn. My eyes look a little puffy but not hideous thank God. Writing this as I suffer, I am afraid to wash my face for fear I'll tear my skin trying to wash this stuff off (read the other reviews, not pretty). I have to wait another 3 hours until I go home for lunch to wash this fire off my face. Do not buy this product if you have sensitive skin or sensitive eyes!!!!!

Mascara -Shiseido - Nourishing Mascara Base
rated 4 of 5
lmaliski 9/1/2011 2:39:00 PM

Like other reviewers have stated, this new formula seems thinner and doesn't thicken my lashes as well as the old base. I have to apply two coats of mascara after this new base, where with the old base I only needed one coat of mascara. On the plus side with this new base, my mascara does seem to come off easier. This is still my HG of mascara bases: I have a tried a few others (including Dior), and this is the best.

Polishes -Creative Nail Design - Shellac Red Baroness
rated 5 of 5

This is a beautiful color. I receive a lot of compliments whenever I wear it. It's a shade of red that catches the light and shimmers very prettily. Color lasted 12 days only because I wanted to change the color. :-)

Skincare - Face -Clinique - Youth Surge SPF 15 combination oily
rated 4 of 5
lmaliski 3/20/2011 12:28:00 PM

I have only been using this for a month about 4 days a week. So far, so good. It makes my skin very soft and I don't end up looking like a grease pit by the end of the day. I only gave it 4 lippies because I haven't worn it out in the sun yet (I live in Maine, winters are cold lol).

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Face Spray
rated 5 of 5
lmaliski 3/20/2011 12:25:00 PM

I was skeptical that a product you "spray" on your face could help hydrate skin. I was using a very expensive serum on my face prior to applying my night and day cream and was looking for a cheaper alternative. I am quite happy to say this stuff is great! I have combination skin and I thought it would make my skin oily, but it doesn't. It's very light and sits right on top the skin. It feels very refreshing when first applied. I took the advice of the reviewer below and sprayed this on the areas near the front of my scalp that are dry...and it really does work to tame the dry areas there, too!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense-Combo Oily to Oily
rated 3 of 5
lmaliski 3/8/2011 9:51:00 AM

I purchased the formula for oily combination to oily skin. It dried to a matted finish, didn't make me appear oily and made my skin feel smooth. ONE CAVEAT: it stung! I could feel the stinging throughout the day. I made the mistake of applying this near my eyes once: ouch!!! I really wanted to like this, too. :-( I ended up returning it.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
lmaliski 12/14/2010 10:56:00 AM

Even though I have combination skin, the oily areas of my face tend to get dry at night in the winter (go figure!). I purchased the "Very Dry to Dry" formula of this night cream. So far, so good! I love the way this feels when I apply it: it blends in to the skin and seems to form a nice barrier. I wake up with a dewy look, not oily nor dry. I'll give it another lippie if it continues to amaze me after a month's time. :-) 02/27/11 UPDATE: Love this night cream. It continues to hydrates, I wake up every morning with super soft skin and I don't break out. Added another lippie...it's worth the price!

Mascara -Neutrogena - Healthy Volume
rated 4 of 5
lmaliski 12/2/2010 2:53:00 PM

I received a sample of this mascara when I purchased Neutrogena's Eye Makeup Remover. I have oily skin and I wear contacts. I *always* have problems finding a mascara that washes off easily, doesn't end up under my eyes and doesn't flake. So far, so good with this mascara.

I have soft curly ringlets (3a). While the hold was excellent and I didn't need hairspray, it made my curls crunchy, even a touch frizzy. I also noticed that when I put it on my wet hair in the morning, it seemed to stretch the curl out. Don't buy this product from NaturallyCurly.com if you are unsure, because you can not return if you are dissatisfied!!!

Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Microdermabrasion and Peel Kit
rated 5 of 5
lmaliski 4/13/2010 8:09:00 PM

I bought this to help fade away the brown spots on my face (I golf 2-3 times a week). The spots have slightly faded, as nothing that isn't professional will work 100% on brown spots. This also buffs away the dry patches my face gets occaisionally during the winter. It makes my face feel very soft and smooth. When I first bought this back in October 2009 I used it twice a week, then once a week, and now I've graduated to once every other week. I highly recommend this to combat the occaisional dryness and help tone down those pesky brown spots.

Treatments (Eye) -Prescriptives - All You Need + For Eyes
rated 3 of 5
lmaliski 4/9/2010 9:59:00 AM

This eye cream is very soothing when it goes on the eye area, and it does help with the puffiness. But...it makes my eyes tear if I use too much! And if I tear, it stings when it gets in to my eyes. I would not recommend this for someone with allergies (like me).

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Devacare One Condition
rated 5 of 5
lmaliski 3/2/2010 10:59:00 AM

My dry, ringlet curls love this conditioner! I always work in a dime-sized amount of this conditioner as a leave in. My curls are well-defined and soft. Plus this conditioner is anti-fade, and it retains my color a lot longer. I highly recommend this product!!

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - DevaCare No Poo No fade Zero Lather Cleanser
rated 2 of 5
lmaliski 3/2/2010 10:47:00 AM

My super-curly, parched and thin hair loves this shampoo. But I noticed a couple of weeks ago my scalp began flaking, almost like I have Psoriasis. (And I never have had *any* kind of scalp problems.) I thought it was me, until I read other reviews on here. I too have tried the massages and working this shampoo through my hair longer. Nothing worked, I still got those gross oily, flakey chunks. I traded the No Poo for the Lo-Poo shampoo, and the Lo-Poo seems to work better for my hair and scalp. (I pair this with the Deva One Conditioner.)

Lip Liners -MAC - Subculture
rated 5 of 5
lmaliski 12/4/2009 11:11:00 AM

This is an excellent lip liner under any lip gloss. It is a true lip pink-nude. This liner makes the color of any lip gloss look like what they're supposed to instead of that washed-out look.
