Mascara -Estee Lauder - Sumptuous Extreme
lllauraxoxox 2/25/2013 5:37:00 AM
The sumptuous extreme sounded good and definitely looked good in beautiful gold packaging but I found it clumpy flaky and most annoyingly it stunts my lashes so no amount of curling or layering results in long lashes they just get clumsier and flakier. Wouldn't recommend it. I have used things half the price that are twice as good.

Blush -Estee Lauder - Signature 5-tone shimmer powder for eyes, cheeks, face in 02 bronze shimmer
lllauraxoxox 2/6/2013 6:10:00 AM
I absolutely love the Estée Lauder 5-tone shimmer powder! I use the bronze shimmer. I am a lover of all things bronze in makeup and the shades they have chosen for this shimmer powder are perfect. On eyes they make a sheer shimmering shadow with more shade than shimmer though. It's hard to explain as it is quite sheer on the eyes but still very visible. Shades all work together beautifully and compliment my blue eyes stunningly. Stays well lasts most of the day although it is a silky fine powder when applying. For face I swipe my brush over all the colours except for the brown shade at the bottom and use it as a highlighter and blush using on the tops of my cheek bones and on the cheek bone with bronzer contouring below the cheek bones. I swing it around onto my temples and use one of the lighter shades on my brow bone. It looks absolutely gorgeous used like this. It lights up the whole face stunningly and looks natural but makes an impact at the same time. I read that it is better than the bobbi brown shimmer bricks and I had a look at those in David jones and the colour selection for bronze was not nearly as beautiful as Estée Lauder 5-tone. At around $75 it's a little expensive but well worth it it lasts for ages and is something I use almost daily. The packaging is stunning as is usual with Estée Lauder with beautiful rippling bronze shades in a beautiful compact with a mirror. 10/10 get this if you love glowing, bronze healthy goddess makeup. Most gorgeous shades and silky fine shimmer powder ever!

Liquid -Chanel - Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15
lllauraxoxox 2/6/2013 5:55:00 AM
I went into myer and david jones in search of a foundation that would remain matte on my very oily t-zone but look healthy natural and touchable, not heavy which is a big ask I know but I thought I would try the high end brands and see what they have to offer. After being totally ignored at the Estée Lauder Dior and Yves Saint Laurent counters, I found the mat lumiere liquid foundation at the Chanel counter and was excited as it sounded like exactly what I was looking for. The Chanel lady gave me incredibly helpful service and was absolutely lovely. Upon using the foundation it was ok not incredible but I thought I'd stick with it and see what I could do to work with it. I've now worn it about thirty times and it looks quite dull and heavy on my face. The colour doesn't remain true at all on my face, instead deteriorating into an oily, orange, blotchy and cakey mess by about lunch time. Not a huge colour selection either. At $72 it was a decent spend. The pump nozzle also seems to get clogged up right inside it and the foundation squirts like three separate little streams that squirt out really fast and get on the walls my clothes and travel amazingly far haha so that's inconvenient with blurry eyes first thing in the morning forgetting then having to clean up foundation off the walls. Wouldn't buy it again but the Chanel service was brilliant so there's an upside there! :)

Masks -Clinique - Turnaround Instant Facial
lllauraxoxox 7/13/2012 11:53:00 PM
I absolutely love this facial mask. I use it every weekend when i'm doing my full pampering routine. Dries in about 5 mins and then feels amazing to buff it off with warm water so you're getting both chemical and manual exfoliation which I really like. My skin feels much smoother and looks brighter after using this mask. It does dry my skin out a bit but i don't mind coz it dries out my t-zone then i can just moisturise as normal and everythings balanced again. Probably not good for sensitive or overly dry skin. My skin feels so nice and glowy after this which is what i'm always going for in skincare. Last ages not too expensive. Love it :)

Brows -Clinique - Superfine Liner for Brows
lllauraxoxox 7/13/2012 11:19:00 PM
I love this eyebrow pencil. It is superfine as the name says so you get really good control and precision with it. Really easy to get those feather strokes happening and no need to press hard which makes me accidently draw harsh lines alot of the time. Good colour range. Love the different shades of brown. The only annoying thing is when it goes flat and I pull it back into a point with a tissue it can snap really easily and you can't wind it back down if you've wound out too much of the crayon so once its out its out. Quite cheap and does last a long time.

Makeup Brushes -Clinique - Foundation Brush
lllauraxoxox 7/13/2012 11:11:00 PM
I use this brush everyday for my foundation and it always gives nice even coverage. Fluffy bristles are nice and smooth to apply foundation with and makes the whole application quick and easy. Hasn't shed any bristles or started to fall apart the whole time I've been using it. Takes a bit to clean because the bristles are so dense but thats no problem. I like the brush and clear handle. Quite expensive but a brush you'll have for life if you take care of it.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage
lllauraxoxox 7/13/2012 11:00:00 PM
I use the All about eyes serum everyday. The metal roller ball is such a nice massage for the eye area and the formula is light and quickly absorbed so great for use beforing applying make-up. I've used this every morning and night for about 9 months and while my eye area hasn't really gotten worse it hasn't exactly improved greatly. Still have dark circles and in winter I think a richer cream is better than this thin serum. Nice packaging, quite expensive and actually I think the Garnier roller ball eye serum is alot better for dark circles and puffiness.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Volume
lllauraxoxox 7/10/2012 3:06:00 AM
ABSOLUTELY LOVE LASH BLAST Best mascara I've ever used. Really really volumising and thickening for lashes and really intense black colour. Gives good lift but I still need to use an eyelash curler. Doesn't hold its lift all day I need to get back in there with my eyelash curler a coupla times a day but I dont mind that. Other things i don't like is it can flake sometimes but that might just be me disturbing it with my eyelash curler. Runs out quite quickly for me but I'm sure thats just due to me packing it on 10/10 for Lash blast, wasted alot of money trying estee lauder and clinique as well as rimmel and maybelline never found another mascara as good as this one.

Sunscreen -Clinique - Super City Block SPF 25
lllauraxoxox 7/3/2012 12:32:00 AM
I love the City block SPF 25. When i'm applying it, it makes my face look very washed out and pale initially put it settles down in a couple of minutes so it doesn't matter. It is a bit heavy but i don't mind that at all i just give it a few minutes to settle before I apply my foundation. It has a kinda pleasant smell for a sunblock. I like how it acts as a primer too. It doesn't cause me any extra oiliness in my t-zone and my make-up sits nicely on top of it. Some people don't like it because of the apparent tint in it but i hardly see a tint its more just like a glowy cream that blends away to hardly anything and it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin natural anyway so i dont see a problem there. Overall I really like it and don't have any major dislikes about it.

Powder -Clinique - Superbalanced powder makeup (spf 15) [DISCONTINUED]
lllauraxoxox 7/3/2012 12:25:00 AM
I wear the superbalanced powder over my liquid foundation and i really love the natural matte finish it has. I also really like the coverage it provides. It can be quite cakey so its best to start off light and see if and where you need more. I have combination skin and by about midday my t-zone is a bit oily and shiny the powder maintains its staying power in this area but to the touch my t-zone is oily and the powder will come off easily when touched but if i just leave it alone it stays well and doesn't look bad. I really like the grinding mechanism but when you get to the end it looks like you still could still get a few full face applications out of it but the grinder won't reach it anymore which is a bit annoying coz it's a waste so I really don't like that. It is also expensive, well worth it but I go through so much so probably good for anyone who doesn't want it for full face everyday.
