Concealers -Smashbox - Photo Op Under Eye Brightener

I used this over the Smashbox High Def concealer (which I also wasn't a fan of). I wasn't expecting it to cover like a concealer, just brighten up the area or add a slight shimmer to it. It could see it in the lighting at Nordstom but couldn't notice it anywhere else. Also, I'm not crazy about the packaging. I don't like the tube/brush thing as i feel like I can't get it all out and I waste some.

This had medium to light coverage. $18 at Nordstrom but I returned it. Wasn't impressed with it. Didn't cover well enough for me to be able to deal with the creasing.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55

I have super sensitive dry skin, and this worked very very well on me. It's photostable, but it has oxybenzone in it. Unfortunately this ingredient worries me and actually gave me enough reservation to stop using it. Bummer too, because it was great on my skin. Make-up went on well, no irritation, no clogging. bummer...

Sunscreen -Lancome - Lancome UV EXPERT 20 with Mexoryl SX

I had a feeling this s/s would break me out, but I tried it anyway because I need something quick for a vaca and this was convenient. It's photostable, but clogged my pores badly! It was also too moisturizing, and me saying that means a lot because my skin in parched! I felt the need to use a finishing powder all day long just to absorb the shine and oil it gave me. Pretty okay protection for a US s/s, so if this works for you, more power to you. I got it for $35 at Nordstrom.

Loose Powders -Palladio - Rice Powder
rated 2 of 5
lizzyd220 11/20/2006 6:16:00 PM

The container was too messy. Anytime I opened it, powder would come flying at me. It would get all over my clothes and everywhere. I just might just not be a loose powder kind of gal. More importantly, this stuff broke me out. I don't know what ingredient it was exactly, but my skin did not enjoy. I'll stick with my palladio wet/dry powder.

I was so excited for the product, but I really didn't notice a difference, except that my roots got greasy faster.

Conditioner -Redken - Fresh Curls Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

I've used the Fresh Curls Shampoo with the Fresh Curls Conditioner, so I'm not sure which I should give the credit to, so I'll post this review under both. My hair has never had curls like these before! They are defined and renglet-like! I wear my hair curly often and have been using the same styling products for a while now, so I know that it is this Shampoo and/or Conditioner that is working the magic. I just wash with these and then use a mouse (I prefer Garnier's curling mouse) and a shine enhancer (I prefer TIGI CatWalk's Camera Ready). The price is not bad either, I think around $12- $14 a bottle. In the past, I've had a hard time finding a conditioner that gets my tangles out, but this does the trick.

Styling Products -Citre Shine - Straightening Balm
rated 4 of 5

I totally dont understand what everyone is complaining about. I've been using this stuff for years and years. My hair is long, curly, poofy and frizzy and a teeny bt of this stuff (serously like half the size of a dime) helps me straigten it sooo much faster. I usually put it it before I blow dry my hair and not at the roots. My hair never feels greasy. It is a greasy product however so if you put too much in or put it too close to your scalp then it will for sure. I love that I only need just a teeny bit because the tube last FOREVER! I've never used another straightening balm so I don't know how it compares, so I gave it four lippies, but I cant imagine it much better for my hair.

Powder -Palladio - Wet/Dry foundation
rated 5 of 5
lizzyd220 1/9/2006 1:47:00 PM

I was looking for a finishing powder that has a decent coverage to it. This stuff has totally met my expectations. I use it dry over top my max factor pan stick foundation. It sets my foundation and pumps up the coverage without looking cakey. I apply lightly with a powder brush, not with the sponge that it comes with. The color works for my skin, although I do understand why people are having issues with the color selection. They are a bit orangey, but it neutralizes on my skin. Maybe lightly using a powder brush helps with the orange (?). Got it at Sally's for a very reasonable price. The compact is fabulous. It has a separate compartment under the powder for the sponge, not that I use the sponge anyway... I have ultra sensitive skin, slightly dry... works great and I will repurchase!

Gels/Soaps -Aveeno - Skin Relief Body Wash
rated 3 of 5
lizzyd220 10/26/2005 11:41:00 PM

This body wash is fairly moisturizing.... the most moisturizing one I've found. I've used the whole container and concluded that it does give me small breakouts. So little in fact that I questioned if it was even from the body wash for the whole entire container. But after reaching the bottom and changing everything else that I put on my skin, I believe this is the cause. I wish it hadn't broken me out though bc the moisturizing quality is great.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Mascara
rated 3 of 5
lizzyd220 9/6/2005 1:47:00 AM

This is honestly the first mascara Ive ever used and until recently the only one. I liked it a lot but I was sure there was better out there, and there is. This is a decent mascara however, although now I use maybelline full and soft and for about the same price maybelline's is better.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 4 of 5
lizzyd220 9/6/2005 1:44:00 AM

It is better than the covergirl pro lash mascara ive used all my life. I use the blackest color and it is very black. I like the bushy straight brush, it helps with making my lashes look more full and getting all corners of my lashes. Overall very pleased. A better mascara may exist, but im satisfied with this one for now.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Original Moisturizing Creme
rated 4 of 5
lizzyd220 8/24/2005 7:04:00 PM

I feel that this should be in everyone's bathroom. It's fabulous on dry skin. I use the cream, not the lotion and it lasts all day. I rub it in after my shower and it keeps my body moisurized all day. With most body lotions that I use, I feel moisturized for maybe like a half an hour. But this stuff lasts! I use the Longs brand of this cream bc the ingredients are the same and its much cheaper, not like it isn't already cheap enough. The tub lasts forever. It takes a while to sink in enough to feel comfortable putting clothes over top, so I took off a lippie for that. I have super sensitive skin and this cream does not irritate it. If your looking for something thinner, but still rids itch, try goldbond's lotion. GB isnt fragarance free like this stuff nor as moisturizing, but it still isnt irritating to my skin.
