Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizer SPF 50

I work out in the sun 8 hours a day, 5 days a week so to say I have to wear sunscreen is an understatement. I've gone through quite a few brands of sunscreen. Most gave me that horrible white sheen and some even felt like they were burning my skin especially around the eye area. I picked this up when I noticed it was on sale. I love the texture and consistency; it blends into the skin really fast. It does not feel greasy at all- in fact it just feels like my bare skin- and does not have the SS smell. It also doesn't burn my skin. I also really like the packaging. Its small enough that it fits in my purse without taking up any space. Plus the harder plastic body prevents any accidental squeezing in the purse. I wear this in an SPF 70 (apply twice a day- Im in the sun a lot) and so far no burn and barely any noticeable tanning through the SS (I tan easily). Definitely will be buying this again

Hair Styling Tools -Remington - 3-in-1 Styler Hairdryer
rated 5 of 5
lizzybennet 3/28/2011 9:19:00 PM

I just bought this and am already in love with it. I bought it purely for the air wave attachment. I have naturally wavy hair but since I have grown it long, a lot of that wave has disappeared. The air wave attachment gives me the same wave I use to have when it was shorter. Its a bit awkward to handle but I'm sure I'll get use to it. Best purchase ever!

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray
rated 3 of 5

I really wanted to like this. It works great on my hair, makes it look freshly washed and smells amazing. However, it seems that after using it a few times the can is empty. It feels empty and barely anything is coming out of the sprayer. I have shook and shook the can and make sure I hold the nozzle down and I'm basically out of product. I'll be going back to the Tresemme just because it lasts longer

Lip Treatments -Korres - Lip Butter - Jasmine
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 11/29/2010 5:10:00 PM

I got this in a three pack from Sephora (came with pomegranate and wild rose) I really like Jasmine. The texture really is like butter. In the jar its a light dusty pink with a hint of brown color that I was sure would just go clear on my pigmented lips. Boy was I wrong. Its actually neutralized some of my natural color leaving a great nude pink. It would be great paired with smokey eyes or just an everyday look.

Treatments -LUSH - Henna-Caca Brun
rated 5 of 5
lizzybennet 9/20/2010 8:33:00 AM

This was my first time using any of the Caca products. As a reference my hair is naturally blond and I have been dying it brown for the last 8 years with a demi permanent. The last time I had dyed my hair was about 6 weeks ago. I ordered my henna online. It took 2wks to ship from Canada and arrived slightly soft from the heat of the trip. I just popped in the fridge for a bit and all was well I love this stuff. The prep was super easy. I used three squares for hair that hits the bra strap. I had no problem just cutting my bar of henna into little chunks with just a knife. I melted it in a class bowl with hot black coffee and with some stirring and a little smashing it smoothed out to a thick pudding consistency nicely. I then just used my hands to apply to my hair. A couple of glops fell onto the floor but since I put down newspaper and an old paint tarp clean up was not an issue. Once my hair was coats I piled it all on top of my head and placed a shower cap over it. The henna that got on my skin came off easily with just a rag and some warm water with no staining. I left the henna on for four hours. Once an hour I would blast it with the blow dryer. Don't know exactly what it does but read about others doing it. The worst part was rinising the stuff out. It gets dry and heavy and requires some patience to get it all out. It took a couple of shampoos before the water ran clear and the grit was out of my hair. I then plopped a lot of conditioner on and let it sit for a bit while I rinsed out my shower (no henna stains there either) The henna seems to have richend the brown color that I already had in. There are still a few blond hairs at my hairline that didn't get colored but that could have been my own fault from when I was wiping henna off my skin. There is definitely some red in my hair which I like. Also my hair is so smooth. I can't wait to see how smooth it is when it air dries. I had to blow dry since it was late at night by the time I finished. My hair does still smell. Its kind of an earth grassy smell. I personally don't mind it. I'm waiting to see if the color changes at all over the next few days. I'm definitely going to do this again

Eyeliner -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Always Perfect Liquid Eyeliner
rated 1 of 5
lizzybennet 6/8/2008 6:20:00 PM

I was really excited to see a line by Carmindy and picked up the liquid liner in Teak Brown. I thought the color was gorgeous. A nice brown with a touch of gold to brighten it up. The applicator is a brush. I really do not like brushes (prefer felt tips) and this one was not the greatest. It flattens out too much and lost it shape quickly. The product applied nice and smooth. However once it dried it flaked. Here is the part that made this product horrible for me. This liner made my eyes ITCH! I have NEVER had a liner (whether pencil or liquid) make my eyes itch. I tried the liner a couple of different times and every time my eyes itched soo much I had to go wash the liner off.

Polishes -L'Oreal - Coral Blaze
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 6/1/2008 11:40:00 PM

This is from L'oreals limited edition Summer collection. The color is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for summer. It is an orangey red that is not to orange or too pink. It came out a shade darker when applied compared to the bottle. If falls in perfect with the other oranges and corals that are hot for summer

Styling Products -Sunsilk - Waves of Envy Sea Mist [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 4/26/2008 2:56:00 AM

I have naturally wavy hair and have finally decided to stop straightening it. This stuff has definitely helped me out in the transition. Now its not as good as the Frieda Ocean Waves but its a pretty good substitute. When my hair is wet I give it a light misting with the sea spray and scrunch (and sleep on it). The next morning when it is all dry I usually wet my hair down a bit and spray some more the of the spray occasionally doing a pin curl for some more definition. I think this stuff does a good job of defining my waves and making them big and beachy. The only downside is it can make your hair dry which can be corrected by using less product

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Juice - Melon Punch
rated 5 of 5
lizzybennet 3/1/2008 8:34:00 PM

This is one of my FAVORITE colors of all time. In the tube its kind of scary since it is so bright. When I apply it though its sheer. I prefer method of application to is dab it on either with the tube or my finger. Its gives this juicy orange stain that actually looks pretty natural. Its so summery and delicious

Highlighters -Bare Escentuals - Natural Light
rated 5 of 5
lizzybennet 3/1/2008 12:52:00 AM

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I use it everyday. It is the perfect natural looking highlighter. I apply the lighter shade, Well-Lit, to my under eye area and it really diffuses the light and makes the shadows disappear helping me look well rested and awake. I also like to use it in my inner eye corner. The peachy shade, Back-lit, I apply to my cheek bones for a nice highlight and glow. They really bring a nice healthy glow to my face. I also love the design of the container. I love that you can swivel the lid so that only one color comes out at a time. I also love that there is a plastic piece that covers the holes so that the product does not spill out when not in use. Its costs $26 and they suggest buying a specific brush for it but I just bought a cheapy eyeshadow brush that applies the product perfectly. This is definitely a must buy

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP Cream Shadow Paint
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 2/26/2008 1:39:00 AM

I really enjoy these!!! They spread easily and dry quickly. I own it in 4 colors (have tried 5 of them) Secretive: a light yellow gold shade that is sheer when spread Lofty: a pinkish shade that reminds me of a shell Commanding: a warm pinkish brown. Looks best is a sheer wash Witty: a warm brown. Looked terracotta on me. I returned it because it was too warm for my complexion Nervy: this is my FAVORITE shade. It is a gorgeous mushroom shade that really makes my blue eyes pop I actually do not mind the brush that comes with it. I just use it for general spreading of the product but use my finger to blend or else it leaves a harsh line. I took one lippie off because for whatever reason these tubes emit a weird clear gel. It doesn't affect the product but its gross and annoying to clean. I keep the tubes in their original plastic container with a piece of tissue under them to absorb the gel. Also with tubes its really easy to squeeze out too much product and with this stuff a little goes a long way. To combat this problem I just dip the brush right into the tube and take product off the top instead of trying to squeeze it onto something

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Cream Shadow Paint in Commanding
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 2/26/2008 1:35:00 AM

Im still trying to figure out how to wear this shade. I like the color its a weird warm pinkish brown. It works GREAT as a base for my brown shadows adding a great dimension. I find that for my coloring it works better in a sheer wash of color so I basically use the least amount of product possible

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Cream Shadow Paint in Nervy
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 2/26/2008 1:33:00 AM

I LOVE this shade!!! Its a gorgeous mushroom shade. It really makes my blue eyes pop. It dries quickly and really holds all day. The only issue I have had with this line is this weird clear gel that mysteriously appears on the bottle. To help with the problem I just keep a tissue under the tube in the container

The pencil is super soft and glides right on. The color is a lovely dark brown. The only downside I have is that it tends to smudge on me

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Natural Butter Lip Shine
rated 4 of 5
lizzybennet 1/30/2008 12:57:00 AM

I saw this at Rite Aid and had to try it. I have this in Lush which is just a nice natural shade on me. The formula is thick without being sticky and there was absolutely NO SHIMMER/GLITTER woohoo!!! The packaging is cute and the brush is nice. When I first apply it there is definitely a fruity smell almost like mango. It goes away quickly though
