I wouldn't recommend this product for really sensitive skin since it has fragrance in it. But surprisingly enough, it works for me AND it doesn't break me out :) I have sensitive, combination, acne prone skin and I didn't react to the product. The only drawback is the heavy scent. It smells good, but it's very prominent. Anyways I would buy again since it removes makeup and dirt well.
Cleansers -Boots - No 7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Cleanser
lizgen 5/6/2012 2:14:00 AM
I have combination/acne prone/sensitive skin and I use to wash my face with a mural cleanser everyday which made my skin so irritated that it would break out. Now I use this product at night - at I double cleanse - to make sure that it doesn't leave any trace of makeup - I use eye makeup remover though! This product is gentle and calms my skin. Love it and would def repurchase it! the only dram back is that it doesn't take off the makeup and you have to double cleanse.
Probably real good for summer, but not moisturizing enough for the winter time. I really love the smell though, its very energizing! I would buy again, but for the summer ;)
LOve this night cream. It's perfect when you don't need much hydration though, so i love using it alone in the summer time. In the winter, I usually wear a bit of jojoba oil right before applying this product. I'm also in love with the smell of roses and I love the fact that my skin looks great the next morning, like a natural glow.
Moisturizers -Alba Botanica - Jasmine and Vitamin E Moisture Cream
lizgen 5/21/2010 6:37:00 PM
I use this as a night cream mostly because its quite thick but I love this for 3 reasons: 1. it smells so good (mmmm Jasmine) 2. it doesnt break me out (and I have sensitive, reactive, acne prone skin) 3. it has vitamin e P.S. just dont drop the container, cause it might break the lid (happened to me last night)
I have fair to medium skin tone, so when i applied it alone, this lipstick washed me out completely ( I looked unhealthy and sick...which is NOt the look im trying to go for). So if you have fair to medium fair skin, I suggest you use something over, such as a gloss with shimmer and a touch of colour!
Lotions/ Creams -Alba Botanica - Very Emollient body lotion Unscented
lizgen 3/14/2010 11:22:00 PM
This product was amazing because 1- It is light and fresh 2- It's moisturizing and it absorbs well 3- You can choose with or without fragrance The only downside is that it's more expensive than the regular moisturizers about 10$ CDN. But Alba is a great brand and they make amazing products therefore I recommend it to you all
This is not only the best colour to use for eye brows but also can be used as a nice brown bear coloured eye shadow! Im loving it and i use it everyday =)
Moisturizers -Avene - Rich Hydrating Cream - Hydrance Optimale Riche
lizgen 11/25/2009 8:57:00 PM
i bought this today (in light not rich) at a local pharmaprix in canada and i was really excited to try this. First because of the good reviews it generally gets but also because avene has a pretty good reputation when it comes to cleansers and creams. the only "bad" thing is that i find it quite expensive (40 ml for 36$). but ayways so i JUST finished trying it and i find that the consistency is really awkward. It was hard to blend into my skin, either that or it absorbed REALLy fast. Anyways apart from that, the product smells good and it seems to work nicely with my sensitive-combination-acne-prone skin. Ill let you in on some further details in the next week (like if it broke me out, or if its actually moisturizing my skin) ...I think im breaking out from this, ive stoped using it to see how my face would react and it calmed down a lot. except that now i need to find myself another moisturizer!
Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Effaclar H Compensating Sothing Moisturizer
lizgen 11/2/2009 9:06:00 PM
Compared to all the other moisturizers i have ever tried, i can honestly say that this one is THE best! i bought hydraphase uv spf 30 at first (38$ cdn for 50ml) and it broke me out after a couple weeks (But it might be because i ran out of the thermal la roche posay water spray) Anwyays i stoped using hydraphase uv and bought another thermal water spray and tried out Effaclar H moisturizer......BIG DIFFERENCE. This is PERFECT for dry sensitive winter skin. My face has never looked this radiant. Highly recommended!!! after waking up in the morning i spray my face with thermal water after 10 sec. I pat my face dry with clean hands then, i moisturize and apply my cover up! highly recommended for winter =) so i returned the hydraphase uv spf 30 in order to exchange it for the effaclar H moisturizer. but when i got to the pharmaprix (where i have boughten the initial product) the girl told me that effaclar H is designed for people who take medicine such as acutane which affects the skin. so i ended up not buying this wonderful moisturizer (too good to be true I guess) and now im trying avene hydrance....hopefully ill like it
I just bought this moisturizer about a month ago and discontinued using it because i broke out, but it might not be because of the product itself (i was running out of the thermal water spray). I love la roche posay and right now im using another one of their moisturizers which is PERFECT for canadian winter (and it didnt break me out)...its called Effaclar H by la roche posay! I also use their mineral water spray and it helps my acne A LOT! So here is what im suggesting for you all...get the hydraphase uv30 for the sumer time (dont forget your mineral spray) and the Effaclar H for winter! they are a must have for sensitive highly reactive skin! Enjoy
Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15
lizgen 9/9/2009 8:43:00 AM
I have sensitive and acne prone skin. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. It burned my skin the second i applied it and broke me out badly! I wrote to the company and they said that I might be allergic to the sunscreen ingredient in the product and gave me complimentary samples of other product. Good company, will definitely still buy cetaphil products just not this one. On the other hand, it smelled lovely and did a good job moisturizing my skin (before i broke out badly). I wanted to love it, but sadly im incompatible with the product.
Skincare - Face -La Roche Posay - Thermal Spring Water
lizgen 7/6/2009 1:06:00 PM
This is perfect to bring on vacation: first you spray it on your face in the plane (because we all know that plane air is excessively drying) after you wait about 20 second and you pat your skin with your clean hands to really make the minerals penetrate your skin. it hydrates and makes your skin glow. Its great to use at night/ in the morning before your makeup or after a lonnng day in the sun. BTW its cheaper than avene bottles (here in canada) I would like to add that this product helps a lot with facial acne. When I stop using the product twice a day (mornings and nights before my moisturizer) i break out around my mouth and jaw area. Amazing product
I hate the whole line, it does nothing for my hair, the only positive aspect here is that it smells nice....but then again i find the smell a little too harsh!
Shampoo -Sexy Hair Concepts - healthy sexy hair soy milk shampoo

I love the smell of this shampoo, its very fresh and makes your hair soft. I paid 7$ CDN at winners =), price is decent !
