I wanted to love this perfume. In sephora it smelled like a delicious blend of light vanilla and berries. On me, it turned into a disgusting musky barely there berry with no vanilla. Dissapeared very quickly and smelled disgusting! Not worth the small (for perfume) price tag.
I adore this quad! I too collect MAC e/s, and I would snap this baby up in a heartbeat! Very cute and wearable. Almond Icing is very much like Vex, however, I like this one better! The extra pink in it gives it some oomph! I wore Vex today and put almond icing on one eye to compare, and while similar, they are distinguishable. Gateaux - a little boring, but a nice standard pale pinky peach shade. Sugar Blue - This has to be my favorite blue, ever, and I have tons. There is the velvet sparkly thing going on, with little pink and silver microglitters. I lovelovelove it. Demi Sweet - This one will look awesome with stars and rockets or lavendar sky, a little more purple than I was hoping, but still a nice compliment to almond icing. Overall, yes, I am a little disappointed due to the hype, but it's still a nice addition to my MAC collection!
I love this mascara! Usually, I use eyeko's mascara, which is great, but the odd, choppy brush of that doesn't allow me to get to the very root of my lashes and lift. But pout's small, brush helps me get to the base of my lashes. I would not use it alone, but with eyeko's, it's a winner.
I am in love with this palette! The case, a copy cat of MAC's 2004 haoliday packaging is cute, and sleek, as was MAC's. I bought this on sale for $17 at VS, and though I'm not sure I would've bought it at full price at first glace, having now tried it, it's well worth full price to me. The two eyeshadows in the case compliment each other well. Miss september is a nice, shimmer neutral, and miss barbados is a brown, that IMO hasa tiny bit of berry in there. Very common colors that always good to have, and very nice for an on the go palette. The glosses are a medium, sheer glossy pink and a medium sheer glossy berry, both would make a nice gloss over lipstick, or alone. My only gripe about this palette are the "blushes" the light, hgihlighter shade I could see using as an under eye highlighter over concealer, but the berry shade....the well is too small for use as an actual blush, and it's not all that flattering on my NC20 skin. Overall, I could see myself taking this palette with me on a day out, just to have something small and sleek to hold a variety of looks.
I'm a little undecided on this product, and I'm leaning towards dislike. I bought this a long time ago, towards the beginning of my high school...I recently rediscovered it, and I have to say, what was I thinking? Yes, it's cute. Yes, the glosses are yummy..but that's it. The glitter shades were gritty, and the other shades were nothing special. Easily duped in other, better brands. I will use this up, but I would not repurchase. Another complaint...the packaging is filmsy. The hinges cracked, and I've barely opened it...
This quad is nothing special, however for a MAC addict like me, I had to have it anyways, and went searching for it all over NYC. This quad contains 4 shades, Silver Charm (Lustre), Titillate (Satin), Lounge Wear (Frost), Trousseau (Frost). Silver Charm is a gorgeous, shimmery neutral, and the texture of lustre e/s seems to be getting better, judging by Silver Charm's soft, almost frost-like feel. Titillate is a a run of the mill coolish, flat pink. Quite disappointing alone, but it looks like it could work great with Lounge Wear. Lounge Wear is IMO the standout of this quad. It reminds me of cornflower pigment with less blue. It's a beautiful silvery purple. And rounding out the quad is Trousseau, a shimmery taupey brown, not unique but still nice to have. I disagree with it being too similar to Hard to Please, which is just a bit warmer in my opinion. After testing this instore, and using Silver Charm as highlight, with Lounge Wear and Trousseau across my lids, this quad was worth the trip.
I admit it - I bought it for the LE factor. But it doesn't mean that this lipstick isn't gorgeous...it's a very bright matte fuschia, that IMO looks better with a sheer shimmery gloss over it. I bought two because I liked the shade that much, but after wearing it for a full day, it is rather drying and I have to really smudge to get the color on (worth it though). It lasts fairly long, and while I don't think I'll ever run out, this is awesome shade for those who are gutsy. EDITED 9/30/05...the more I've worn this, the more I realize it makes me look like a 5 year old playing in mommy's makeup. Just can't pull it off.
I love this! It's not quite what I was expecting from hearing other's opinions...and it doesn't provide a lot of color, simply a sheer wash of color and a bit of shimmer but it's very pretty. Versatile for summer or an on the go interviewish look IMO. I wouldn't repurchse simply because I don't think I'll use it up and at the price tag it's a little too $$. But I would recommend this palette for someone who loves sheer, soft glowy eye looks without too much shimmer. EDIT 7/16/04: I am finding this so useful as a mattifer for OTT shimmery shades! So versatile and amazing for summer! LOVE it.
MM, I love this. You can really smell the crust and the blueberries, everything and it's so delicious. I would most definitely repurchase.
Classic Pina Colada. Delicious and I really love the texture, and price of these balms. I would repurchase over and over again!!
This makes my eyelids look bruised unless I use it in a pink smokey look...pretty just not too versatile to me.
I'm so sad that these are being discontinued, now that I've just had the chance to fall in love with them... These eye safe glitters come in an awesome variety of shades and you get a huge amount for the price. Thus far I have alpha state (white with peachey pink iridscence), gateway (silver), spirit guide (gold), starburst (bronze), vision quest (teal), soulerrific (hot pink), transcendence (white with purple blue iridescence, time shift (copper), higher love (light pink with green iridscence), freeology (sky blue), expansion (white with green [ink iridscence) with a few more on the way, so you can see there are a variety of colors. I'm stocking up on these before they're gone..
This is a very clean, laudry detergent scent to me...very boring and a bit too "old" on me. I also prefer it in spray form, but this was a gwp. I would not repurchase.
The packaging of this is adorable. However, the scent is disgusting....in the tube it is so alcoholy and strong and unpleasant and on the skin it is disgustingly sweet. This one is going back to sephora ASAP.
I love this mascara...my short, sparse lashes look so incredibly long and silky with it. It's awesome for adding length. The only thing I dislike about this is that it is incredibly wet. I attempted to put on a base after applying it and it smeared all over. But as long as I apply it last, it works awesomely. It also has a pleasant scent for a mascara!
