Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Paris Presents - High Definition Angled Blush Brush
rated 5 of 5

After seeing this brush in store and reading the raves on the m/u board about it, I decided to give Walmart a chance to impress me. Now let me paraphrase this by saying I am not a big brushaholic, but I am very picky when purchasing additions to my brush family. Surprisingly, this brush is really soft (if I can't test it out on my hand to see how soft/rough it is, I usu. won't buy it- learned my lesson there w/ ELF's blush brush) and picks up pigment quite well. The first time I used it with BB Sand Pink blush and it didn't pick up too much powder, nor too little. I have to say I'm pretty impressed by this and even went so far as to purchase another for my BFF/fellow MUAer (who is FAR FAR pickier about brushes than me). I think she'll be pleasantly surprised.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Metal-X in Fusion Gold
rated 4 of 5
littlemitzik 12/8/2007 1:11:00 PM

I had many doubts on this one as most creme e/s fail miserably on me (thanks oily eyelids, it's all your fault!), so I picked the most neutral color they had and crossed my fingers! So far it's worked- I've worn it 5x so far, with MAC, Stila, and Nars powder e/s, and it holds up quite well with no creasing. I tried applying it with a brush at first, but lately have been using my fingers (which works just as well IMHO). I've yet to test it out in humid Florida weather and that might make all the difference, but so far it has a 100% success rate. Definitely thinking about grabbing more of these before they go away to LE heaven.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Copper
rated 5 of 5

Let me just say that this is my all time favorite eye mousse, not only b/c of the eye mousse formula (which actually STAYS on my oily eyelids w/o creasing) but b/c the color of this one is SO versatile! I can just toss this on and be set for work, then add a little something on top for an evening look. The best part is that a little bit is all you really need, but just in case I'm gonna stock up on this color since it's my fav.

Lip Gloss -Juice Beauty - Lip Trio SPF 15
rated 1 of 5
littlemitzik 4/22/2005 11:52:00 AM

I bought these from Sephora on a whim, thought that they were cute and the price was good. Well, THEY SUCK! There's no moisture in these, they just leave a hint of color and my lips feel dry like I'd never put lip balm on them at all! Someone needs to rethink this formula, pronto. I'm going to see if Sephora will let me return these suckers, because I sure don't want them!

Palettes -Stila - Fierce Femme in Fierce Sage
rated 4 of 5
littlemitzik 8/29/2004 5:02:00 PM

Ack, it's small, it's cute packaging, and it's a palette! The colors are so pretty in this, with the lightest shade being a light golden olive color. The other shades in this are great too, but that goldish one is my fav. My only meh with it is that the e/s are so soft, but then all the Fierce Femme palettes are like that, so it's a formulation problem really. I use this palette for an evening eye look.

Accessories -Stila - fiercely feminine bag
rated 4 of 5

Not only is it cute, but really useful too! There's a zippered pocket on the right side, which fits 3 of the Fierce Femme palettes nicely, and then slots for a few c/c and a clear slot for your DL or ID. The middle is a huge mirror, and on the left side is a space for brushes, with a flap to protect them from dirtying the mirror and such. Loaded my clutch up for a weekend in Reno and it came in handy!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Passage to Paris Trio
rated 4 of 5
littlemitzik 8/29/2004 4:37:00 PM

At last! My lemming has been well, lemming this for quite some time (I have an affinity for Parisian things, lol) and this trio is amongst my dearly held treasures :-) I love the fact that these are matte e/s instead of the shimmery colors that Stila so often puts out- the lightest shade is great as a base, but the magenta shade.. hmmm... well, just don't try to use this in your lower lashline- makes ya look like you've been either crying or have some weird eye thing going on. Works great in the crease though, in combination with the darkest shade (which you CAN use for lining). Overall, I love the colors, and the packaging (which I wish Stila hadn't discontinued!)

Eye Shadow -Stila - Mod Look #3 (Plums)
rated 4 of 5
littlemitzik 8/29/2004 4:31:00 PM

This happens to be my favorite out of the 3 Mod palettes- the light shimmery purple is what I really bought it for, but it works great (as it should) with the dark purple e/s, which can be used as a liner or in the crease for a night look. Love the blush too, although I'm not much of a blush person. Would buy again in a heartbeat!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Mulberry Pro Shadow
rated 4 of 5

Absolutely love this color- it's one of my favorite Stila e/s and I use it when I do a purple eye. Not too red and not too purple- it's just right for a medium yellow skin toned gal like me!

Fragrances -BeneFit Cosmetics - ... maybe baby
rated 5 of 5
littlemitzik 1/8/2004 12:05:00 AM

First of all, let me say that I am not a big Benefit fan, but I just looooove the smell of Maybe Baby! It's a dreamy fruity floral, and perfect for spring/summer, or whenever I feel the need to get out of the winter blues mood and into something cheery!

Eyes -Stila - Convertible Lash and Line Purple
rated 4 of 5
littlemitzik 1/7/2004 9:55:00 PM

I really like the simple design of this one, and the purple mascara is great for bringing out my brown eyes. I can see how the liner might be a bit difficult for those who have yet to master liquid liners, but it's so convenient and I love it! I wear this one with my purple Mod trio :)

Fragrances -Demeter - Pumpkin Pie PMU
rated 5 of 5
littlemitzik 1/6/2004 3:03:00 AM

O Pumpkin pie, O pumpkin pie, how lovely is your aroma! I love this one to death.... and if you haven't already guessed, pumpkin pie is one of my favorite foods! This Demeter reminds me of a spicier pumpkin pie at first spritz, but then dries down to the good ol' pumpkin pie that I devour at Thanksgiving! The scent hangs around for awhile if I accidently spray some on my clothes, and it's even been known to stay on for days (on clothing that is... gotta do those sniff tests to see what's clean every now and then ;) Lol)

Fragrances -Demeter - Mulled Cider
rated 5 of 5
littlemitzik 1/6/2004 2:58:00 AM

Yet another wonderful Demeter and I'm glad to have it in my fragrance library! One whiff of this will remind you of hot apple cider and warmth... the whole scenario plays itself out in my head when I smell it! A fire crackling in the fireplace, the warm air embraces you as the aroma of hot mulled apple cider wafts from the kitchen .... and the warm fuzzy feeling of the holidays breaks forth from its hiding place and fills you to the brim.... yep, definitely a fall/winter fragrance that I shall guard carefully! And with that being said, I want some apple cider now.....*wanders off to the kitchen*

O Demeter Golden Delicious Apple, what can I say of thee? Thine aroma bringeth forth the blissful memories of chomping on my dear Grandma's apples straight from the orchard in the summer, and can rescue me from the cold winter in a whiff! A most satisfying scent art thou, and may you never be grasped from my collection!

Fragrances -Demeter - Altoids Pick-Me-Up
rated 4 of 5
littlemitzik 1/6/2004 2:46:00 AM

Wow, how do they bottle up a tin of mints like that? This Demeter is definitely right on when it comes to smelling like Altoids, and when you sniff it up close, it gives your nose that same ol' kick that one of those mints gives your mouth when ya pop it in!
