I cannot explain how much I love this product! My shade is in 01. Whenever I wear this everybody compliments me on how my skin looks like it's glowing-however it does sparkle in the light (which isn't actually bad haha). I find that this looks extremely natural and especially when I take a separate fluffy brush and set this under/around my eyes it makes my eyes glow and stand out as well as the fact that it looks so natural! It takes away the wet look I get from my tinted moisturizer (and I occasionally wear concealer) and it makes my face look matte and glowy! It gives me so much of a glow and I cannot stress how much of a glow I get haha. It might be because this is the perfect shade and product for my skin but I really do think you should try it especially if your shade is close to 01 because I have had such a good experience with it. I would definitely say it is comparable-possibly even much better than MAC's MSF powder. The price is okay but it is cheaper than a lot of other really good quality products.
I bought this in the black and white colour. I picked this up because I typically don't use black or white eyeshadow because they're both really harsh colours, so buying a whole pan of each would make a pretty big hole in my wallet for something I don't use at all. So I was about to pick up another pan of NYX's black eyeshadow when I came across this, and it cost less than TWO DOLLARS! So I couldn't pass this up and for something so cheap-I actually got some decent pigmentation. The black was a little bit gray-looking and the white was pretty alright, it wasn't bad at all. I only use black eyeshadow to set and make my eyeliner darker and this did pretty okay. I really enjoyed using the white eyeshadow on the inner corners of my eyes. Overall, if you're looking for a cheap eyeshadow duo for small tweaks here and there, this is perfect!
This is the only non-waterproof mascara I ever use. I'm a HUGE fan of CoverGirl's mascaras. This was a huge difference in my mascara purchase, as I always choose waterproof mascara but I found now that school has started, it's extremely time consuming to apply AND remove my eye-makeup. So I went for CG's LashBlast because I know their waterproof version is AWESOME so I wanted to try out the regular one just for school and I can say that I have fallen in love with this mascara. It holds a curl pretty fairly, does NOT smudge at all, it's a nice rich black colour and I think the bright orange colour is just eye-catching! A lot of people have problems with the bulky packaging but I never even really thought about it being hard to handle. The handle IS quite short and fat but it doesn't really affect the way I apply mascara. Overall, I am falling all over this mascara. I will definitely repurchase.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Double Duty Base & Top Coat

Awesome product! It really stuck onto my nails, I didn't experience any yellowing or early chipping. It really did a nice job! I found the application to be smooth-sailing. The brush just glided perfectly onto my nails providing a sheer and perfect application-no streaking or gloopiness! I love using this on all my friends because it creates such an amazing shiny finish that WOW's pretty much everyone! You should definitely give this a try, it's very inexpensive and can easily become your best friend, me an my sister have been using this religiously and we're almost done the whole thing!
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard As Nails - Pink Whisper

So, I picked this up at my drugstore for about 3 bucks, which was a GREAT deal! Sally Hansen is known for being inexpensive so this was a great pick. I really like the pink-flesh-tone colour it has and it ran as the perfect candidate for a nice pink wash for a french-tip manicure-it really made me look like I had fake nails! However one problem I had with this was the application. Every time I use this, it comes out EXTREMELY streaky and after a few coats you cant really notice it but if you're planning on doing a french manicure with this, beware the streaky application! I'm going to keep using this and see if time is what this product really needs because it gets SO annoying always having to re-do your nails, it just sucks /: It lost 2 lippies for application and presentation ):
I don't think the waterproof version gets enough credit. This baby has stayed with me for a long time, now. I cant imagine not using this, anymore. I have ditched all my mascaras. I only use them on my friends (I know that's bad, but it's never hurt any of us. I always make sure their eyelashes are cleaned before I apply an sort of makeup on them). This gives me the MOST volume. It thickened and lengthened my lashed. On some days when I tie up my hair, I don't even have to wear any intense eyeliner because it's so rich and black, if you layer it up quite a bit, you will FOR SURE get that fake eyelash effect. This holds a curl perfectly. My lashes stay in the exact same spot. Which probably helps the process of achieving that fake set of eyelashes! And for an Asian with short stubby eyelashes, that probably sounds ridiculous, no? This is truly waterproof. I've gonna swimming with this on and it barely budged. It is a pain to get off if you layer it like crazy (like myself) but I can assure you, it slides right off with Vaseline or Olive Oil, just let it settle on your eyelashes a little bit and it'll come right off with a tissue. Happy product-testing, fellas! I know I'm never turning back (:
I hate this mascara. It's totally not waterproof and it does NOT curl my lashes. I usually only get waterproof because it can hold a curl much better, but this sucked. The formula was REALLY wet and it took a LONG time to fully dry, which always makes that awkward dot under my eyes. By the time I begin my first blink, my long hard work from curling my lashes have deflated. The only good thing about this mascara is that it's REALLY black, it's probably THE blackest mascara I have ever used. It also doesn't smudge or flake, which is a plus, but if you're looking for mascara that doesn't do anything to your lashed, be my guest.
Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick [DISCONTINUED]

So, I decided to finally buy this because so many people were crazing over it and I kind of just let it pass over more shoulder whenever I was at my local PharmaPlus. I bought the lightest colour which was Plaza Pink and I think that this is so natural-looking and really suits pale/fair skin tones, such as myself. It's kind of a coral-y pink colour and is easy to blend. I did find that it wasn't as creamy as I thought it would be so it did not glide on smoothly, I had to pack it on and swipe it on my cheeks quite a few times. Overall, it's really fun to experiment with this because it can also be used as and eyeshadow base or lipstick, but I would just stick to the cheeks :) Packaging was pretty nice, was definitely better than their other products. I can just through this in my bag and not worry about it opening. It twists up for the desired about and can really last you a while!
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Body Cream - Black Raspberry and Vanilla

I have FINALLY got my hands on this stuff! I absolutely HAD to get this when my friend popped out a tube of this during my French class and it smelled AMAZING! I found that this made my skin feel silky smooth and soft to the touch. It's thicker than a moisturizer but smoother than a sunscreen's consistency. Blending was super simple and it sunk into my skin quickly. It did not leave a sticky/tacky feeling afterward. Now, the best part, the smell! This was pretty much the only reason why I was eyeballing this for weeks. It smells like candy but very fruity and fresh. It's very hard to explain but it's such a pleasant scent! Not strong but noticeable at times. My whole family loves this stuff. It's about $12.50 CDN. Definitely worth the money since you get a gigantic tube!
Product itself was blem. I can easily create a similar formula using body butter and a little bit of foundation. It held onto the eyeshadow well, however it did crease, which isn't surprising because it IS the summertime. I think the packaging is cute and the applicator is like many others. It's dirt cheap so I don't see why you wouldn't want to try this.
Blush -The Body Shop - Cheek Colour - 04 Golden Pink
lisamaxum 6/23/2010 4:15:00 PM
Pigmentation is awesome. I love the tiny little golden sparkles in it. It looks very natural but I probably wouldn't wear this in the summertime as it looks quite harsh. I wouldn't really see this as "my style" because I have quite fair skin. I still love this blush, however. I occasionally wear blush in the summertime but quite often in the wintertime, so if you're looking for an awesome winter find, this is it! Packaging is amazing. Very secure. (:
My mother got me a few of these and I'd have to say that they're very pigmented. Pigmentation is more on the shimmery side and not the colour side. If you love shimmery looks, this palette is perfect for you. Just too sparkly for me ): Packaging is a bit of a hassle, I have to open TWICE as much boxes! It can get a little messy sometimes.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - salon nail lacquer in black orchid
lisamaxum 6/23/2010 3:37:00 PM
UGH, this product clumped in between coats. Impossible to use. I don't know if I just got a bad bottle, but this was downright horrifying. Trashed.
Pigmentation was pretty alright. It was kind of hard to do looks with this, as I really like to do everyday eyeshadow looks. If you mix this with Vanilla from MAC it creates a nice light, shimmery base, I guess you could say. Like I said, it's pretty alright.
Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Pressed Powder
lisamaxum 6/21/2010 5:57:00 PM
Probably one of the best finishing powders I have ever used. This totally made me ditch foundation. This gives amazing coverage without the foundation and it has THE BEST staying power I have ever seen. It doesn't fade, stays matte the whole day and I've never experienced anything bad with this. The brush was a load of bull. It did NOTHING, once applied it would leave this nasty streaks. I tried using it for my bronzer, just does not work. It scratched the living hell out of my PP. I also think that the case is too big for the product. It is NOT travel friendly. However, the product is amazing. I bought this as the 75% off sale at PharmaPlus for $5 CDN, I'm not sure how much it originally is, but I think it was more or less then $15. Definitely wait for a good sale before purchasing as their Bare Naturale line is quite pricey.
