Moisturizers -Weleda - Skin Food

Excellent product on severely dry, cracked, bleeding hands! It absorbs instantly and leaves no greasy film but my hands are ridiculously dry. Also started to apply to baby face, which shows signs of red, dry patches. Will update on this.

Scrubs -Weleda - Birch Body Scrub

I like this very much. It doesn't feel like a strong scrub while you use it but it does work! Leaves your skin so soft that I often don't put any moisturiser on. Will buy again.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL
lisa_thejack 1/4/2013 10:54:00 AM
This is a good product. It applies easily with a brush so there's no need to pull and lift your skin like you would with a liquid foundation and it doesn't dry like powder. It stays on nicely and provides medium coverage, which is very natural but less is more with this product so it's important not to overdo. Would definitely buy again. UPDATE - been using it for a month now and I love this product more and more. It's just so natural, lightweight and gives perfect colour all day.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Argan oil
lisa_thejack 12/19/2012 6:24:00 AM
Woohoo, this stuff is amazing! I mix it with aloe vera gel and apply all over my face, eye area and body and the results are outstanding. I like to combine it with aloe vera gel because it absorbs almost instantly so you're left with no oily film, just incredibly smooth skin for at least 24hrs. It doesn't clog pores, it doesn't smell bad and it doesn't cost a fortune (compared to most beauty products which do absolutely nothing). What it does do is smooth wrinkle out, even skin tone and soften skin like no other stuff has EVER done. I don't use scrubs, useless masks or any sort of acid on my face. This argan/aloe combo preceded by that wonderful cleansing tool called Clarisonic is all I use and both my skin and I have never been happier.

Treatments -Dermalogica - MAP-15 regenerator
lisa_thejack 1/8/2010 7:04:00 AM
Have been using it (on and off) for a few months. I don't mix it with moisturiser any more, I find that rubbing it in alone before the moisturiser works better. No major changes in complexion but I don't have discoloration or sun spots, however put it on wrinkles and watch them disappear immediately, though temporarily. Whether it's worth the high price I don't know.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia

Only been using it for 2 weeks twice a day but skin is definitely looking cleaner than ever. Fewer blackheads and reduced size of whiteheads. No noticeable changes in wrinkles or blemishes (yet). Pleasant to use, not abrasive at all. Would recommend and would buy again. UPDATE - Still using it, still works, still love it!

Cleansers -Innoxa - Triple-Action Gel Wash
lisa_thejack 11/18/2009 8:09:00 AM
So far I've only used a (generous) sample for about a week but my skin feels really really nice and NOT tight. Doesn't burn the eyes either and it's such a convenient all-in-one product.

A nice and versatile product that can be used as a body wash or bath foam. No itchy or dry skin even in hot water and lasts forever. Will repurchase.

Scrubs -Ren - Jojoba Microbead Purifying Facial Scrub
lisa_thejack 12/18/2008 5:34:00 PM
I quite like Ren products but what's to like about this one? It's not only just a scrub, it has big grains that don't do much at all. I really wonder how it can score so high here on MA. I didn't buy (used a few samples) and will definitely not buy.

Cleansers -Ren - Calendula and arctic blackcurrant seed cleansing milk- sensitive
lisa_thejack 4/8/2008 12:21:00 AM
Thought it would be too rich for combo skin but it's actually more balancing than products designed for combo skin. Going through a stage of dehydration and hormonal imbalance and this product is absolutely spot on. I still like Ren washes for combo and normal skin but this is gentler and ideal during problem times. The matching moisturiser is a pleasure to use - leaves the skin very velvety without greasiness whatsoever. As for packing, I'm not too bothered I must say when something works! But yes it is hygienic, although the same product quantity could fit in a much smaller bottle so more travel friendly.

Cleansers -Eucerin - Impure Skin Sebum Reducing Cleansing Gel
lisa_thejack 3/20/2008 1:02:00 AM
I'm satisfied with this product. I was using REN, which I liked a lot but this is way cheaper and seems to deliver similar results... EDIT: what a mistake this product (along with toner and moisturiser in the same range) was! Skin went ballistic after I thought it had improved. Switched immediately back to Ren and the results are there to see. Perhaps this is not bad stuff and suitable for acne sufferers but I don't have spots all over my face, just a rebellious skin due to hormones/pregnancy and this is definitely not ideal.

Cleansers -Ren - Mayblossom and Blue Cypress Facial Wash
lisa_thejack 1/9/2008 2:22:00 AM
Easily the best product I've ever used on my skin - the ONLY one that is actually making a difference. I've been using it for two weeks and the sea of white and black heads along my jawline is clearing out. Can't comment on huge spots as I don't get them but the tiny underskin ones are disappearing. I've also tried the mayblossom & Konjac moisturiser which i like a lot but it was only a sample so I'm attributing the good result to the wash. As for removing make up, I normally use an oil based product but this does a good job if there's only some mascara, eye liner and foundation to take off. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Moisturizers -Ren - mayblossom and konjac moisturiser
lisa_thejack 12/4/2007 1:50:00 AM
I've used this for a few days (sample) but I do like how velvety it feels - not greasy at all and moisturising. It may not be moisturising enough in winter but in normal/warm weather it does a good job at balancing dry and greasy areas. I can't comment yet on its ability to help preventing breakouts but I'd buy the full bottle.

Treatments (Eye) -Dermalogica - Multivitamin power firm for eye and liparea
lisa_thejack 12/4/2007 1:43:00 AM
Glides onto to the skin as you'd expect from a silicon based product and feels ok on the skin. However it's definitely NOT a 'powerful firming complex'. Would not repurchase. EDIT: finished the tube and... no improvement at all. As I said, would not repurchase.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant
lisa_thejack 12/4/2007 1:38:00 AM
It brightens up a bit and leaves your skin squeaky clean but apart from that it doesn't help keeping the pores clear - black and white heads are still developing. Would not repurchase.
