For reference, I am NC 15 combo to dry skin (dry, more so in the winter) and I chose the shade "fair" Generally, as most know, PF's foundation colors are a bit off. I cannot speak for any of the other shades in the Youthful Wear Cosmeceutical line, but the shade "fair" is dead on perfect for me. Words cannot describe how happy I am to find this foundation. Very lightweight feeling and does not get heavy as the day wears on. Did not dry my skin out nor leave it oily. I did not blot once. I did set with a very light dusting of powder and sprayed my face with Urban Decay's "All Nighter" finishing spray. I also used a good primer underneath. Lasting power is excellent. Did not oxidize on me. I find that when sitting in my car with natural light coming in, it can be the best judge of a true color match and once again, the shade "fair" is perfect for me. Comes in a squeeze tube and with a foundation brush. Squeeze tube is excellent but I just use my fingers to apply. I do not care for the paint brush type foundation brushes (for lack of better makeup terminology) Coverage is not full coverage. Its more of a medium, which I personally prefer. Full coverage tends to feel very heavy on my skin after so many hours and I can't wait to scrape it off. Its a quarter after 10pm as I am typing this and I've had the foundation on since 0530 and I can't even tell its on my skin but when I look in the mirror, it still looks good. I really hope PF does not get rid of this one! I'm currently awaiting my package of Ben Nye's Banana powder and I'm guessing it will compliment this foundation well since the foundation itself is not pink nor orange. Slightly yellow and the shade "fair" can probably be used for either warm to neutral skin tones.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze

I have this in the fig shade and have bought it twice. What I don't like is the taste and if you put too much on, its gloppy and gooey for a while...gets on your teeth. What I do love about it is the color, the staying power and it does not dry your lips out. It keeps a shiney look to your lips for hours. I'd like to try the darker shades soon, especially for winter but some of the lighter shades are horrid on lips! Had to return a couple. If you can handle an odd taste that for me disapeared after awhile and finding a good color, go for it! The rest of the product is excellent.

On my second bottle of this. At first wasn't sure if it was going to do anything for my fine lines under my eye area. It took about 3 wks for me to see a noticable difference, yet after running out of my first bottle, I had to buy something cheaper cause I just wasn't quite sold completely. Well its been 2 days on the "cheaper:" stuff and I ran out to get my second bottle of this. Goes on smooth, noticable difference in texture, fine lines, circles. Not near as much as I've paid at the department store and my first bottle lasted about 2 months or so. Will keep on buying till...?

Amazing, perfect, cheap and my HG (at least for now) Screw top and squeeze bottle that is sanitary. Long lasting coverage. Satiny beautiful finish..covers well. Good for light skin, not super pale. I love this stuff and I only wish I happened upon it sooner! This is seriously great stuff girls!!

I really like this mascara. Nice brush. Formula doesn't dry out quickly. Good results with thickness and lengrth. Nice smooth, non clumping application. Excellent price!

Foundations -Illuminare - Extra Coverage Foundation

This took me several times to really love this product. Now I think it's all I'll ever wear. My face does not react to this at all...no breakouts! I'm using the second lightest shade and it seems to be a good match. My application method is basically how they advertise to apply it on their website. I do go over a few spots for extra concealing. I top this off with Aveda's loose powder and sometimes a touch of bronzer. I do find that I get a tad "dewy" looking throughout the day and usually just blot it away. I'm actually liking the dewy look as its not oily or greasy and this foundation feels like nothing on my skin, even after hours of wear...which by the way, it wears very well for many hours. I don't get the dehydrated feel/look as with powder mineral makeup. This is truely great stuff! If at first you don't like it, try it with different moisturizers/application methods and just play around with it, you may change your mind like I did! EDIT 5-31-09 ~ HG foundation! I'm loving it...may try a powder foundation for days I just want to swipe something on quickly, but this is my everday work/evening/going out foundation

I am in love and think I have found my HG...I'm 37 with good skin as far as lines go..ocasional breakouts. I've been wanting something with lighter coverage that doesn't give a caked on, worn look by the end of the day. This is perfect! Its a step above a tinted moisturizer as far as coverage goes...goes on so smooth and feels like heaven on your skin. I use shade 710--classic ivory and it is a dead on perfect match. I find that this will last throughout my day..no more long wear foundations for me that looked caked on after 8 hrs of wear. I get a soft, even finished better than my own skin natural look from this. Also this comes in a squeeze tube! yay...no more horrible revlon bottles that get contaminated. I wish I would have found this sooner!

Concealers -Unlisted Brand - Colortration Liquid Cover Makeup and Concealer

I forgot I even ordered these samples so when I got these today in the mail it felt like christmas!! I ordered the 6 samples of #2 & 3. 3 working the best for me. First I took a small amount and applied to clean skin .It dried in the first swipe across my face..not good..second I mixed it with a bit of moisturizer...didn't care much for that either. So since I love the finish of my revlon colorstay for normal/dry skin. I mixed a very very small amount with that (the colorstay for normal/dry skin is a medium finish) Not only did it give more of a full coverage look, but I do not need powder on top since it still dries and sets on its own even when mixed with a regular foundation. I'm still getting the glow from my revlon also. The amount you need to use is so incrediably small, you'd think it won't even do anything but it does! Also I use a concealer brush and use it for concealing my undereye circles and any other redness I see. NO powder!! I'm thrilled about that and the rest of my makeup goes on like a dream. I love this stuff and my samples will last forever..when I do eventually run out, I will be purchasing a full bottle.

I have been using this product for years and have not reviewed it yet??! I'm almost out of it and came on here to see what new concealers are good and popular but read the reviews for this instead...There is nothing this cannot cover! I swear! Everyone and I mean everyone thinks I have flawless skin and while my skin is in good shape, I do get red acne spots that need cover and this baby does it. You definately need to purchase the concealer brush and use it sparingly. Warm it on the back of your hand, especially if you blend the two colors together. After dabing it on your face using the brush, use your finger to smooth it out and dab a bit more. You'll find that whatever you want covered just vanishes. I use #2 and only use the large color of the two concealers, I plan to repurchase tomorrow but this is after about 3 yrs since buying my last one. This stuff will last you forever, the price is worth it and the staying power will last longer than you can imagine once its set. This is my #1 product I cannot live without!! Even if I'm using a cheap foundation at the time..gotta have this also!

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Cream

I cannot rave enough about these!!! I have these in several shades and they are my daily go to eyeshadows. Especially if I'm running late and need to get makeup on quick! The colors number 1 are gorgeous and highly pigmented. This also stays on longer than any eyeshadow I've ever used. Also they last forever!!! I'm going on over a year with my colors and I still have tons left. Granted I have several shades, but the initial $$$ is so worth it cause the little pots last forever. Easy to blend initially but don't wait too long cause once this cream eyeshadow is set, its set. I use my fingertips to apply the color and blend....also a q-tip if needed. If you have acrylic nails or long nails, use a brush to apply. You'll get the cream shadow under your nails.

Pressed Powders -Revlon - Colorstay Pressed Powder with SoftFlex

I love this pressed powder. I use it in the "light" shade. Does not look cakey, feel heavy or settle into fine lines. It does last a long time and usually I just blot once throughout the day instead of having to touch up with it. Keeps my face looking perfectly polished! I do wish the nice slim black compact was a bit sturdier. But this is a drugstore makeup (not in quality of the actual product though) so I have to realize that the compact may feel a bit "cheap" I just cannot justify paying $$$ for compairable quality when I can get it for so much less at a drugstore. Get this when its on BOGO and you've got even a better deal.

I mainly use the normal/dry skin version but I also use the oily skin version if I need a touch more coverage in certain places. This version is a bit more opaque and great to use as a concealer. I dislike the glass bottle and screw top lid but the foundation is department store quality...so I'll put up with poor packaging. BOGO is the best way to save $$$ at walgreens/riteaide...I stock up then but my one bottle of the oily skin formula will last forever since I use it as a concealer to the normal/dry skin version.

I prefer the long lasting foundations and I have tried nearly all of them available. High end/low end. I LOVE this foundation for normal/dry skin!! High end foundations that offer long lasting wear should take a cue from Revlon. This offers medium coverage and if I feel I need a bit more coverage, I'll use the same foundation in the same shade but just in the oily skin formula. I have them both and find that the oily skin formula offers a more opaque coverage. When I need to do this, I just dab on the oliy formula in certain spots...almost as a concealer. Seems to work for me. This foundation wears beautifully and seems to look more gorgeous on my face after hours of wear. I love the soft focused, slightly glowy look this foundation gives my face. Nothing on my face screams "I'm wearing a ton of foundation" This foundation does come in a glass bottle without a pump. BAD move Revlon! But I will put up with that for whats inside. I do NOT wear any type of moisturizer underneath (no matter what I've tried, my skin will break out) nor do I use a primer and this glides and spreads wonderfully over my skin. Very easy to blend. I'm using the Buff shade and its a touch warm for me....just a slight touch but much better than the Ivory shade since I feel that is a touch light and pale looking on me. I don't want to mess with "mixing" colors, so I just use the Buff alone. I top this off with the pressed colorstay powder in Light and I'm good to go for many hours. Sometimes I only blot once a day and never re-touch with the powder. No breakouts as of yet and I've been using this for a few months. Do use a good makeup remover before washing your face with our usual cleanser. I use the makeup remover cloths from Neutrogena and then the gentle cleanser and have had zero problems. I'm enjoying buying this foundation at walgreens/riteaide during the BOGO sales....saves me $$$ so I can buy my fav mascara at the department store!

Lip Gloss -Estee Lauder - High Gloss - Rose

I love this gloss. The pinkish/rose shade with the gold shimmer is beautiful. Super glossy without a sticky feel. I love this on days when I don't feel like doing the full lip look.
