Treatments -Vichy - Vichy Liftactiv CxP Serum

I bought this serum on a whim while at Shoppers Drug Mart. I have been noticing those fine lines creeping up around the eyes. Tired looking. huhhh. I have used products with vitamin C in them before and wanted to try a serum. I have used a number of different brands of moisturizers before and am never disappointed with what I have tried with Vichy. (French products...in my opinion are a never fail). I don't know why I bother trying new lines when this one always work for me. I have found the same great results with this product. You only need very little so I am sure it will last a long time so not that pricey considering. I put this on under a moisturizer. I let it soak in while I dress and prep my hair. This soften the lines nicely and leaves a soft glow to your face. My skin type is normal and I don't find this greasy. However, use it sparingly. Smells fresh and pretty as well but doesn't linger. I am going to go back to full Vichy products when my stash of products is used up. Worth a try!

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Stay Glossy

I don't stick to one brand of makeup for long, nor do I usually buy repeats of products. If I do find something I love I will repurchase. Rimmel products are inexpensive and a few items i will definitely be buying from this line. They stay glossy lip gloss is one of them. I have this in "immortal charm" which gives a natural colour (me being fair). It looks fresh and healthy. Not to mention that this lasts quite a while. I also have bought this in "all day seduction" and "timeless allure" . All these colours look great on and for the price you can buy a good variety.

Shampoo -Matrix - Biolage - Hydrating Shampoo

I tried matrix products years ago. My hairdresser recommended it to me at the time. My colour treated hair had been damaged as I did a lot of home colouring. I was in my teens at the time. The next appointment I had with her she told me to bring it back as it was doing nothing for my hair. Several of years later, I thought I would try it again as my hair was in great condition and I loved the smell. The smell is all I love about it. My hair became way too dry and only after a few uses. I returned this to my beauty supply store and vowed to write this one off forever.

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick- Smokey Rose

I am have a serious lipstick addiction. I have tried them all from bargain brands to pricier ones. I really like Revlon products and am finding that I repurchase many of there products. Smokey Rose is my staple colour. It is the only lipstick and colour I have bought three times. This is a little darker on me than some as I have fair skin. This one brightens up my face instantly. I use various colours when I use peachy makeup. When I use pinkier more plum tones I always use this. I find this lasts long enough for a lipstick not marketed as long wearing. It is not drying which I hate about long lasting lipstick types. I don't mind reapplying if my lips feel great. Love this colour, and will continue to always have it on hand.

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick in Highbeam Tan

I bought this lipstick for a summer look. I have many natural shades of lipstick which I seem to gravitate towards. This lipstick I was not so sure about the first time I tried it on as I thought is was a bit too peachy. However, after putting it on a second time, this time with the rest of my makeup, I really liked it. I have fair skin, but not too pale, and some nudes are too wishy washy on me. This is in the natural section but gives me the right amount of colour. There are not too many colours I get a second time around but this one I will.

Liquid -Yves Rocher - Second Skin Effect Foundation

I love this foundation. My skin is normal type. At first I was not sure if I liked the consistency. The type is very liquid and I found it a bit messy. I would get it all over the cap. This was until I got the knack of it. If you open it, tip it upside down and squeeze it gently, bottle straight down the problem is solved. That was the only down side until I got over it. A tiny amount goes a long way This foundation is a medium coverage and blends very well. I use a foundation brush. It gives the prettiest glow to the skin. I also find it very moisturizing. I use this in the summer and a bottle lasts me until fall. (this is the 2nd summer for this). It has a scent to it, but I really like it. I pair this up with the bronzing powder duo to really set it off. I hope they keep this around for a while because I will buy this over and over again. I have tried so many and don't need to look anymore.

Shampoo -Pureology - Volume Shampoo

I bought this shampoo and matching conditioner at a 1 litre sale at a local beauty supply store. Even on sale it was still on the pricey side. The smell is ok. It is not fruity but a bit more on a perfume side? The smell stays in your hair and it smells clean. I like the fact it is safe on colour treated hair. It gave an ok volume but after using it for a few months, I was not sure I loved it so much. Having spent a little bit on a 1 litre bottle I thought I better stick with it. I tried to like this, but just could not. I found my hair was getting way too dry. It still sits on my shelf but will have to go. Disappointing.

Deodorants -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Aloe Vera Deodorant Stick

In my quest for finding an aluminum free deodorant, I stumbled across this. The packaging was ok, not a lot of difference from your average stick, but the amount was large. Anything good about this, I have to stop there. The smell was fresh, not a problem with it but not anything special. The worst part was that is irritated my under arm so bad. I thought this was because I didn't wait long enough after shaving, but not the case. I used this for a few weeks and I was so red and raw. I have found the same for most aluminum free deodorant. Save your arms, maybe ok for others, just not me.

Deodorants -Nivea - Pure Invisible 24 hr roll-on deodorant

I have experimented with many deodorants. I was always a sold fan. I hate gels as I find them sticky and too long to dry. I haven't used a roll on for years. This was on sale for $3 so I thought I would give i a shot. The roll on I bought was Nivea invisible for black and white (with pink label). For me, this has been wonderfully refreshing. It dries fast and you can get dressed right away minus the white marks. I work out daily and while I still sweat (nothing stop that), I do feel drier. There is not any odor just a clean fresh smell, even after the work out. It comes in a glass bottle, which I prefer. It does have aluminum, which is ok for me. I actually have tried numerous non aluminum brands and I have yet to find one that isn't sticky or irritates me. I am sticking with this from now on

Conditioner -Bath and Body Works - Signature Moisturizing Conditioner in Mango Mandarin

I bought this conditioner recently. Bath and Body works was having a sale and this was 70% off. I had not tried this before but after reading some reviews I thought, if it was on sale for under $4. I'd try it. I was pleasantly surprised. I use salon brands and wasn't expecting any miracles. In the shower, this felt so moisturizing, but you never know until you rinse well, what you are going to get. I was my hair every 3rd day and my hair looked moist and fresh all the days in between. WOW!! The sales associate said that it was on clearance because it was being discontinued??? Either that or it will be brought out again in new packaging. I hope so, I bought 3 bottles and the only chance to get it again is to order on line. B&BW is shipped from the states with a $20 charge??? I hope they bring it back because this HG will save me $$$ on salon buys.

Treatments (Eye) -Garnier - eye roll on with caffeine

I bought this eye roller so long ago. I use this daily. I have used many concealers before and under eye treatment for dark circles. However, I have a few fine lines and I find that some concealers end up creasing over the day. That is until I found this. It is cool and refreshing and instantly wakes me up (or makes me look awake..lol). It covers well and goes on like a liquid. At the end of the day, if I am in a hurry to go out, and I look as I need a lift. I roll this on and instantly look refreshed. I love this!!! I like to try new product all the time. After finding this, I don't bother searching for anything else. It is now a staple in my makeup bag. For the price, it lasts forever. It is a great deal.
