Pressed Powders -MAC - Studio Careblend

I wear approximately NC 20 in MAC depending on the season, and in this powder I got light-plus. The colour match was nice, but the powder was just ok. The texture did not have a higher end creamy texture, it was quite dry and if applied too liberally made my skin look flaky. As well I have slightly oily skin and this powder did not last me a whole work or school day, it lasted only about 4 hours. I would say this powder has only the slightest coverage, and for the price I would not repurchase. It is quite similar to the pressed powder from NYC, which is extremely cheap in the drugstore.

Mascara -New York Color - Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara

I love this mascara so much! In a mascara I look for a lot of added length, and holding a curl since I have naturally thicker lashes. This mascara adds so much length, at the same time it does not clump even with multiple coats. The colour is a nice deep black that does not fade, the mascara also does not transfer or flake. The mascara holds a curl rather well, although I will say some other mascaras hold a curl better. The last positive feature is the wand, it is a quite small traditional brush. I am able to grab all of my lashes, even on the bottom. For the price this mascara is wonderful, I will definitely continue to repurchase!

Concealers -Rimmel - Wake Me Up Concealer

I have a few spots of discolouration, but mainly I bought this concealer for my under eye area. This being said the concealer did not cover my darkness enough for me, nor did it brighten. As well I could not use this on blemishes since the liquidy consistency seemed to slip of my slightly oily skin. This concealer is just ok. I would recommend investing in MAC pro long wear concealer ( completely covers does not fade ), or from the drugstore the Maybelline instant age rewind ( brightens nicely).

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Miracle

I really like this foundation, I was colour matched to bisque 1n and it looks very natural on my skin. It has about a 6 hour wear time with a little bit of powder and no base on my normal-combination skin. The coverage is a pretty true medium coverage, when I use this foundation I only really need to use concealer under my eyes as the foundation does the rest of the work. The best way to apply this foundation for me is to stipple it on with a brush then blend it in with my finger tips. The biggest down side was definitely the price I think it came to about $45CAD. I would definitely rebuy this foundation although I don't think it is holygrail for me, because I would like it to last a little longer.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer

This is my favorite eyeshadow primer and I have tried many (urban decay, benefit, NYX, and MAC paint pots). No other primer makes my eyeshadow last as long as this one, I work 8 hour shifts then go out and I dislike redoing my eyeshadow so I want an eyeprimer that last for an extremely long time and this is the only one that fits the bill. Another benefit of this product is how it makes the pigmentation of my eye shadows pop even more. The only problem I have with this product besides the price is that this primer makes my shadows a little more difficult to blend. However for me this is the one primer I have and will always repurchase.

Conditioner -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Light Reflecting Conditioner

Firstly the packaging, I thought I would like the upside down squeeze tube thing, but everytime the bottle falls in the shower it opens up and product leaks out. But more importantly this conditioner I thought was ok at first, because I have naturally quite soft straight hair. Yet after a couple weeks my hair was becoming very dry because of this conditioner. This result is something I would except from a cheap grocery brand conditioner. For the price and result this conditioner is not worth a try.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Black

I love this eyeliner it is absolutely amazing, I have repurchased this product 3 times. Which is a lot for me, as I tend to have a lot of black liner at any point in time. This product is extremely black, with no apparent undertone, even if it is applied lightly. I apply it with an thin angled brush on my tightline, waterline and upper lashline and it does not move from any of them. I can wear this eyeliner on my waterline all the way through a 12 hour day without touch ups on my waterline. This product is a must have for anyone looking for a very black, long wearing eyeliner. The only downside is that it was about 25 dollars Canadian...but for such an amazing product it is well worth it!

Powder -New York Color - Smooth Skin Pressed Powder

This product works for setting liquid foundation, I would not say that this powder is pigmented enough to use on its own if you don't have perfect skin. The packaging is very hard to close and if I carry it in my bag powder tends to fall all over the bag if I do not pay close attention to closing the compact. I got the powder in the lightest colour, but not translucent because the translucent powder seemed very ashy when I swatched it in the store. The powder itself is also very soft. However, since it is so affordable I would repurchase this product.

Mascara -Revlon - Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

I love this mascara, it works wonders on my lashes making them appear longer and thicker without clumping. The brush is huge like many people stated, but this really doesn't bother me, however I do have big eyes. I would imagine if you had small eyes, or very small lashes this big brush would not work well for you. The black colour of this mascara is also nice and dark adding a little extra omph. I don't know that I would pick this mascara for a night out, but for every day or to layer with more dramatic mascaras at night time this is fantastic. As for the claims of making my lashes grow, I have no idea and to be honest probably not. Also the price was very good as it came in a package with the revlon colorstay eye liner as well. I will definitely repurchase.

Eyeliner -Joe Fresh Style - Fine Tip Liquid Eyeliner

This by no means the perfect eyeliner. I have a heavy lid and if I make a thick line with this liner it transfers up into my crease. Which is not a look I enjoy. However, the eyeliner is super easy to apply. Also it is very black, and does not dry out like other felt liners.

Liquid -Rimmel - Stay Matte + SkinPure Complex Clarifying Matte Foundation

Ok so I have oily skin and thought it would be great to try a cheaper foundation (I bought this at wal-mart really cheap). Firstly I rarely have a caking problem because I have such oily skin and I apply only a little bit of foundation with a stipling brush, yet still this looked cakey. I tried all of my face brushes with this foundation, sponges, and my fingers and none of them would help me make this work. In the end to use up this horrible foundation I mixed it with other foundations I liked( such as the rimmel anti-fatigue foundation, or covergirl clean), but even doing that it made my face look cakey if I was not careful. The only good thing is the nice clean and easy packaging. So if you want a medium coverage foundation that leaves your skin looking cakey then I would suggest this, otherwise save your money.

Lipstick -Clinique - Different Lipstick - Shy

I really enjoy this lipstick. The colour is perfect for me, I have fair olive skin and naturally very pigmented lips. This lipstick does a wonderful job of amping my lips up just enough by adding a slight plum tone. The staying power is not bad, but I feel like it is a lipstick that I usually have to put a gloss over top of, and also I think clinque should change the packaging from the strange green colour. It is not a cute lipstick to pull out of my bag, but looks amazing on my lips and feels nice. Most of the stars I give it are for being the perfect shade for my skin colouring.

Mascara -Rimmel - Extra Super Lash mascara

This product is ok, and for a mascara I want a product that is much more than only ok. The product was under 4 dollars so I am not disappointed in my purchase it just does not give the dramatic look, I want. The brush though is a very nice, medium sized natural fibred brush.

Concealers -Rimmel - Hide the Blemish

Firstly, this product is very cheap (under four dollars in Canada). I picked it up because I was running out of my MAC concealer and did not feel like paying so much for concealer again. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this concealer, it lasted all day through school and work, and it did not crease even on my oily skin. In many other reviews people claim this looks cakey, which I could imagine happening on dry skin. For normal to oil skin unless you pack on the product and don't blend, it looks really nice. Also I like the the lipstick like packaging. All in all does this concealer cover like the MAC concealer? No it doesn't and it is more work to get it to work but for the price I would buy this again.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Fragrant Waters White Citrus

I adore this scent, it is the perfect scent. It is citrus-y but not like lemon dish soap, more like grapefruit. On me this scent lasts a good while. And I think this is the perfect summer perfume or anytime if you enjoy citrus. Plus at bath and body works there is always coupons and promotions so it is not expensive at all.
