Mascara -Chanel - Le Volume De Chanel
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE THIS MASCARA! it's a great somewhat natural, volumizing and lengthening mascara. i have normal eyelashes and they are quite thick and long naturally and this adds just more of everything without clumping or smudge (it does NOT smude, and EVERYTHING smudges on me). for me, as i got quite good lashes, i'm just looking for that extra that doesn't smudge. it sounds easy right? its not! every mascara except this one and the Estee Lauder Sumptuous smudges on me. and i've tried so many. the chanel le volume de chanel even stays put at the end of a crazy snowstormy day here in sweden. great luxury packaging, great lasting power overall a lovely lovely mascara! 2 thumbs up!

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+

THIS IS HG! I can't imagine one day without this product (which is probably a bit sad in a way). I use FIX + for so many things: - preparing my skin before putting on foundation - take away the chalkiness of mineral powder/ powder - mixing with a heavy foundation (ex. kevyn aucion skin enhancer) - mixing with eyeshadow when used as a liner - adding a bit extra moisture during a dry cold day - as a refresher during a hot summer day i always keep two bottles of this at my apartment, and one mini in my bag at all times.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
rated 5 of 5
linneahurtig 11/27/2012 2:39:00 AM

I own about 10 NARS blushes and this is the one that I get most wear out of (NC 20-25). On days when I don't or can't be bother with make-up I'll put this on and I always get amazed by how fresh this make me look. Its such a staple and a classic in my collection and even though there are about one billion "dupes" of this one, I think that the price for this blush is reasonable for the product that it is, and I think that NARS is one of the brands that actually does the best blushes.

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Foundation
rated 1 of 5

This is a wonderful foundation that sits beautiful on my somewhat oily/ combination skin. It feels very luxurious in texture and is actually similar to Chanel Lift Lumiere in many ways (Chanel owns Borjouis) Unfortunately this broke me out very bad, so I had to give it up :/

Powder -Laura Mercier - Mineral Powder SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
linneahurtig 11/16/2012 3:59:00 AM

HG! I can't recommend this product enough! IT IS AMAZING! It's a wonderful foundation in so many ways. It gives such a natural glow and feel to the skin. I will never ever be without this foundation. PROs: good medium coverage if one wants to. beautiful sheen on the face, it has an extremely natural finish, it feels very light on the skin, it causes me no breakouts, it has long lasting power, and the best part: it looks better and better throughout the day as its blends so beautiful with the skins natural oils. CONs: can be a bit messy for traveling, if on Retin-A it can be to harsh to use on the skin at first. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Im a NC20 (a tad lighter) and I wear Real Sand as of right now and its a perfect warm fair/light colour. I think I've bought this shade about 5 times the past 2 years. I have this foundation in four different shades! I mix them during the seasons to match my complexion. I can use Rich Vanilla as a bronzer, as well as Warm Bronze. It looks so natural. Key is to use a good brush (I just discovered Real Techniques Buffing brush - and I LOVE IT for this foundation) and to use a few spritz of MAC Fix+ after applying the foundation. If you want more coverage, a great tip is to wear it on top of a BB cream. I don't think its even comparable to BE mineral foundation - I hated that one. It made my skin itchy and left me with both breakouts and patches all over my face. I have a huge collection of foundations. Several foundations from Sisley, Chanel, Make up for Ever, Kevin Aucoin, YSL, Burberry and Tom Ford as I really love testing out new foundations. I ALWAYS come back to this one.

Treatments -Skinceuticals - C E Ferulic
rated 1 of 5
linneahurtig 10/19/2012 2:52:00 AM

OK, I love skincare. It's what I spend my time and money on. After having somewhat troublesome skin in my teenage years and always dreamt about perfect clear skin Im pretty much willing to spend a billion on a product IF it works. After hearing good reviews on this one I bought it. Let me just start this with saying that I ENDED UP AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM AFTER USING THIS. Yes, I got such a bad rash all over my face, neck and chest (everywere it was applied) that after consulting my doctor over the phone, she highly suggested me to come and see her asap. I was given a bunch of pills for my allergic reaction and it took about a week for my face to get back to normal again. I had small bumps all over my face, it was red, clogged and inflammed. I HAVE NEVER before experienced a rash or anything of this sort from ANY product. Including Retin-A, 50% glycolic peels etc. I didnt even thought it was possible for my skin to react that way as I have very resiliance skin and it hardly gets upset. I dont have any other allergies. I understand that my case isnt the case for the next one but I was so very shocked to be honest, that my skin reacted this way as I have "strong" skin. Im mainly writing this review so that anyone, if they do experience the same thing as me, know that it very well might be this product. I highly suggest doing a patch test before smearing this all over. I'm thinking that it might be the Ferulic that is causing my reaction. I say this because I used Josie Maran Argain oil a while ago and I got small breakouts from that, after researching it further I found out that Argain Oil acutally contains Ferulic naturally, hence the suspicion.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)
rated 5 of 5
linneahurtig 10/2/2012 3:39:00 AM

HG! I will start this review with just saying; this is an amazing product! I don't really have many HG even though I tend to buy skincare of a smaller country's BNP (according to the fiance). Anyways, this baby does everything I'm looking for in my skincare regime - and thats hard for me to admit, as It pretty much makes all my La Praire and La Mer products a waste leaving me with just a hole in my wallet (well OK they're good to but not a necessity). This product clears smaller acne breakouts, it soothens my skin after retin-a and glycolics, it puts moisture to my oily skin without causing any breakouts. It even helped to heal my skin after a major skinburn this summer when applied several times during the day (damn you LA sun!). I will always have this in my drawer.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
rated 3 of 5
linneahurtig 9/23/2012 4:27:00 AM

I'm reviewing this based on my skin condition which is combination/ oily. This foundation, when mixed with my natural oils on my skin, goes blotchy after a 2h wear - even when i apply Chanel Loose Powder to set it. I think this foundation is ideal for someone who have moderate oil on their skin ("normal" skintype") with slight discolouration. Its a lovely product to work with and sits nice on the skin. Im nc 20 and B20 suits my skincolour very well. I'm now using "Sisley Oil Free Fluid Foundation" which is amaaaaaazing.

Shampoo -Joico - Body Luxe Thickening Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
linneahurtig 4/13/2012 5:44:00 AM

My hair is thin and gets oily in one day (yey, happy me... :/). As my hair isnt that dry, and that I make sure I cut my hair regulary, Im not really in need of a heavy moisturizing Shampoo. This isnt heavy in any way but it isnt drying either. Its very well balanced for my type of hair. If your hair is dry or damaged I dont think this will work though. My thin scandinavian hair loves this in conjuction with the conditioner in the same line! Would buy again! UPDATE! ----------------------------------------------------------- as other reviews stated: this range makes my hair very weighed down, greasy and just blah. i use shu uemura moroto range right now and its not even comparable

this is a very vell formulated lightweight moisturizer that works fenomenal on my combo/ oily skin. im layering my skincare with several active serums and this work as a dream for just a plain moisturizer on top. its lightweight but very moisturizing without clogging any pores. i use this both am and pm. daytime i use this underneath a lightweight sunscreen (laura mercier spf 40). nighttime i use it over aha/bha/retionol/retin-a serums. will never be without this! :)

Sunscreen -Laura Mercier - Daily Face Shield with Adaptogens SPF 40+
rated 5 of 5
linneahurtig 3/30/2012 11:10:00 AM

this is an amazing sunscreen! im all about layering my skincare and ive tried many expensive sunscreens such as jan marini's sunscreen, skinceuticals sunscreen (ive used both their skincare systems. currently on skinceuticals), peter thomas roth sunscreen etc. this one outstands them all! ive got oily skin all year around and this one is perfect for me as its not heavy or sticky. its smooth, easy to blend in and most importantly - it doesnt break me out! :D will re-purchase this forever.

Bronzers -Guerlain - Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder
rated 5 of 5
linneahurtig 3/15/2012 12:24:00 PM

well, im all about skin. my make up-kit contains tons of face make up. and well, bronzers and blushes are what i treasure the most. i will confess, im a bronze-oholic! ive got a huge collection of bronzers (benefit hoola, nars laguna, nars casino, christian dior honey matte, urban decay baked, cargo, too Faced chocolate soleil, bare escentuals faux tan...the list goes on ) NONE of the mentioned is in the same category as this baby. this is truly the bronzer of all bronzers. its so finely milled and it goes on so smoothly. i got it in both shades, 01 and 02 (i know... its sad) and i use them for different purposes. the 01 blondes is much more orange-y and is great in summer when you want that natural extra bronze on your already existing tan. i wouldnt use it in the winter months. strangely enough i use the 02 brunettes much more than the 01 even though im a light nc20 in winter i get more use out of the "darker" of the two. i think the names are a bit misleading as i really think that the 02 brunettes would suite everyone all year depending on how you use it. if applied with a light hand it could be very very sheer. the smell is beautiful... to me it smells a bit like the dove beauty bar, which i like :) i cannot recommend this product enough! its pricey but it lasts forever and you will not reach for any other bronzers. HG!
