I grabbed these when I couldn't find my usual Simple Facial Wipes, assuming they would be fairly similar. Wrong! These feel like sandpaper and caused my skin great irritation. Since they are not going anywhere near my face again, I've repurposed them. With a few sprays of household cleaner, the wipes are great for bathtubs, sinks, and counters. Strange, but true!

Powder -Almay - Wake Up Hydrating Makeup

The "wake up" effect on this is strange. I'm not sure why anyone needs the powder equivalent of cold water on their face, which is what this initially feels like when applied. However, I am willing to overlook this because the result is fanstastic. It's the perfect amount of coverage for someone like me, who prefers tinted moisturizer or a simple concealer/powder combination. If you like mineral powders like BE, this is even better.

These wipes do a great job of removing even the toughest eye makeup. Plus, the price is lower than most other packaged wipes. My only complaint is that the texture of the wipes is a little rough for sensitive skin.

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Strawberry Bath and Shower Gel

This is a "just sweet enough" strawberry gel that lathers well and can also be used for shaving. It doesn't have the plastic, synthetic edge that so many retailers' strawberry products have. Another winner from The Body Shop.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - NatureLuxe Lip Balm in Anemone

This is one of my favorite drugstore finds. It gives you a light wash of cherry popsicle red that lasts hours. It's an easy color, non-drying, and very inexpensive. Highly recommend.

Looks gorgeous in the tube, but is ridiculously sheer. With this product I literally cannot even tell that I'm wearing lipstick.

I love this brand, but this gloss had virtually no pigment. I can essentially get the same effect with vasoline. The packaging is also problematic- it's similar to Stila glazes but without the click pen. With this product, you squeeze the middle of the tube and hope the appropriate amount of product is dispensed. Unless you are someone who dislikes color and is YLBB only, avoid.

Polishes -Butter London - Fash Pack

I bought this color after admiring it on a friend, but on me it just looked muddy. The formula is fantastic and long-lasting, like all Butter polishes. Unfortunately, this shade just wasn't for me. Try before you buy.

Blush -Urban Decay - Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint in quickie

This is the only cream blush I've found that's comparable to Nars in terms of color payoff and quality. This gives you the perfect pink glow and the lasting power is incredible. Suitable for day or night.

This is a pretty shade, but the formula is borderline watery. It's okay for using to tone down a bold lipstick, but it's almost non-existant on its own. I would not repurchase.

Polishes -Revlon - Top Speed - Cupid #120

This is the first Top Speed polish I have tried and it does dry very quickly. However, I found the formula to be too thick and streaky. It's workable, but takes some effort. The color itself is a Pepto-tinged lilac.

Bitches Brew is a gorgeous deep burgundy red with a tiny bit of shimmer.It's not as severe as Vamp, which makes it more wearable. For those who like dark polishes, this is a must have.

This is a slightly more formal variation of all the nude shades that are floating around lately. It has a slight grey undertone that is very flattering on a warm and cool skin tones. I deducted a point because my bottle was a little streaky.

I was surprised to find that this product works just as well- if not better- than Bobbi Brown's gel liners. It's the perfect everyday brown. Even the small brush they include is fantastic. I will definitely repurchase.
