Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Anit-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Soap
lindsey251 5/16/2010 6:00:00 PM
These to me are alright. I love how there are so many scent options. There are just so many to choose from. They lather really well too. One pump is all you need, but sometimes it takes a little bit to get them off. The packaging is amazing as well, the pump works excellently. And these always leave my hands so soft. But I digress. There is glitter in this, yes you heard me right there is glitter. It does stay on your hands. Also, I hate how the scent lingers. Yes it might be strange, saying that I love the scents. But I don't love lingering scents in soap. I want to smell like my perfume, not my hand soap.Overall if I'm in a quick need of a soap, I'll run out and buy this. But If there ever is an unscented formula, I'd be all over it.
This really is an excellent brush cleaner. I use it to spot clean my brushes after every use. I feel like my brushes are cleaner after using, and softer too. What I do is put this into a spray bottle, and spray it about twice for face brushes, and once for eye brushes. I spray it onto a dry brush, and wipe it off onto a washcloth until all of the product is off. This also dries almost immediately, they dry in about a minute or less. This really does it's job, and I'd buy it again without a doubt.
Cleansers -Equate - 3-1 Facial Cleansing Towelettes

Wow these makeup wipes rock! I use to use them all of the time to remove my heavy cheerleading makeup (glitter on my whole eye, from lid to brow bone). They really do it all! I forgot how much I loved these, then saw the reviews and took a plunge and purchased them. I do not regret it one bit! You get 60 wipes for $5, so the price is excellent. These wipes are quilted, so they have a little bit of an exfoliation to them. They have a nice, clean, fresh smell which I enjoy. They remove all of my face makeup easily. I use a seperate eye makeup remover, but I'm sure these would do the job. I don't get any breakouts when using these, and I feel like they clean well. I get no residue after, when using these. I follow up with a cleanser, afterwards. And honestly if I'm having a really lazy day, I use these instead of my regular cleanser, and they get the job done. The packaging is excellent, it's in a tub with a little button you push to open the top and remove a wipe. And a quick tip, store these upside down and the liquid will go to the ones you first pick up, if that makes sense. So these truly are a miracle. I'd definitely buy them again!
This hair color is awesome! Just so you know, it is a DEMI-permanent hair color, not a SEMI-permanent, and also not a permanent one. If you don't know the difference, I recommend this website. http://hairstyling.suite101.com/article.cfm/demi_semi_permanent_hair_colour (not affiliated) You apply it to wet hair, not dry. I also didn't notice any weird smells. I dyed my hair 7 weeks ago, and I love the way my color looks even to this day! I don't remember what the name of the color I had died it was, but it was a soft black, very close to an extremely dark brown. And now 7 weeks later, it is still a really dark brown. It has hardly faded. Also, as soon as I got my hair dyed, it conditioned it, gave me softness and shine. My hair has never looked and felt so healthy! I don't plan on re-dying my hair, because the plan was to dye it my natural color, but if I ever dye my hair a demi-permanent color again, I will go back to this!
Dear Mr. Butterball, I love you. It's true, we're in love. You are shaped so cute, just like a snowman. One of you is enough for my whole entire bath tub. You are easy to use, I just fill up the tub and when it's done filling I plop you in. You smell amazing, just like Butterball bath bomb You have a vanilla-musky scent. You're cheaper than your brother Butterball too. You contain 1.4 more ounces, and you're 90 cents cheaper. Go you! Once I drop you into the tub, you go off like a firecracker. Within 2 minutes, you are completely dissolved. You contain cocoa butter, and once you dissolve, the cocoa butter sits at the top of the tub. I can pick up the cocoa butter pieces off, and rub them into my skin. They are very moisturizing on my skin, especially any dry patches. They make me feel a little greasy for 5 minutes after I get out of the tub, but don't worry they skin in and you make my skin unbelievably soft. Your scent doesn't linger on me, which I like so I can wear any perfume when I'm done with you. But one downside to you, is that you do leave a residue in my tub, so once I'm done with you, I have to scrub-a-dub-dub away at my tub. So Mr. Butterball Rest In Peace, and don't worry, someday I will re-buy you again, I promise.
I really enjoy this bath bomb from Lush. It was the first one I ever bought, and I now plan to buy more. The size was small, I'd say enough for 1 bath. It smells divine, just like apples. It smells pretty similar to the Macintosh candle by Yankee Candle I think actually. Yes it is moisturizing, my skin is softer after using. But I don't need too much moisture, my skin is pretty soft as is. I was told by a lady at my Lush that this would make a frothy bath almost like snow. Yeah, total B.S. I'd say it made a froth in my bath that lasted for about 20 seconds before it faded away. But the bath bomb was pretty slow at dissolving. It took about 5 minutes for it to be completely gone. It was nice and my whole bath-tub smelled really good. The scent was faint, but on me it lingered for about 5 hours. Your body chemistry will change the mileage for how long a scent lasts on you. But that doesn't really make a difference for me, as I take night baths & showers anyways. It was extremely easy to use, even a caveman could do it. All you do is fill your tub up with water, then when you are done plop this into the tub. It also didn't leave any residue in my tub, or clog the drains. It was a very nice purchase from Lush, and I would definitely buy this again.
I bought this and Supernova together in a set for about $10. Happy I didn't pay full price because ehh, this mascara was alright. Yes the packaging is really cute and elegant. And I love the large non-rubber wand, I suprisingly can reach into all of my lashes. But the formula wasn't the greatest. It was kind-of thick, on the drier side, not a wet formula. Yes, it didn't clump, it actually seperated and fanned out your lashes. It also kept a curl all day, with maybe 1 to 2 flakes by the end of the day. It was easy to remove with my eye makeup remover also. But that's about all. While those are all thinks that can make or break a mascara, I want it do do something for my lashes. This didn't. With one coat, I got the tiniest bit of length, and a little volume. With two coats, I got a little more length, but still hardly any, and no more volume. I don't like to apply more than 2 coats of mascara, and 2 coats for me was super natural. Yeah, I guess it's good if you want a REALLY natural look, but that's about all. Not exactly what I'm looking for. Wouldn't buy this again, especially for the high price.
Cleansers -Garnier - Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Wet Cleansing Towelettes Oil-Free
lindsey251 1/5/2010 10:23:00 PM
I think these are really good. Yes the are a bit expensive ($6 for 25 wipes), but they are worth it, in my opinion. They smell excellent, and they are moist enough. They remove all of my face makeup (I use seperate eye makeup remover) effortlessly. I follow up with a cleanser afterwards. On the lazy days, I use this instead of cleansing my face, and it works. They don't break me out, and I feel like they are cleaning well. I don't get any residue left behind, after using this. Yes, the packaging kind of sucks. It has a little sticky flap on it that at a point in time, doesn't get that sticky anymore. Oh well, I guess you have a downfall to any product. And a quick tip, store these upside down and the liquid will go to the ones you first pick up, if that makes sense. But overall, I'd definitely buy these again.
Before you even try to buy any other eyelash curler out there, get this. I promise you, you will not regret it. Don't even bother trying with the other ones, trust me, nothing will compare. It is silver and lightweight. It is easy to use and fits my eyes PERFECTLY. Nothing fits like this, it's AMAZING. I hold it for 5 seconds on each eye and WA-POW! my eyelashes go from stick straight to perfectly curled. My eyelashes look longer than ever, and I never get pinches or crimping from this. What's bad about this? One thing, they don't sell replacement pads. Get the Shiseido ones. 'Nuff said. If something ever happened to it, yes I would buy it again.
Yay to my first review of 2010! Anyways, this mask is excellent! It is a light lavender clay that applies smoothly and easily. It smells of clay, but whatever no big deal. When I use this my skin feels very TIGHT, I can hardly move my mouth when this is on. I leave it on for 10 minutes, and wash it off with a warm washcloth. My pores instantly look smaller, and the oil on my face is absorbed. I can really feel it working when I use this. It works WONDERS for my blackheads. Within one use, it visibly reduces the size of my blackheads! It's also easy to remove. So the moral of the story is this is amazing and I'd buy it again any day.
Gels/Soaps -Equate - Sensitive Skin Body Wash (Compare to Dove)
lindsey251 12/31/2009 8:53:00 PM
This is a really amazing body wash. I wasn't expecting much when I purchased, but I am pleasantly surprised. This isn't completely fragrance free, it has a very light scent but it's definitely there. The scent doesn't stay on the body, so no matter what perfume or lotion you use, the scent won't mix. This is a very rich & thick cream body wash that applies white. This lathers extremely well, also. When I use this, I feel like it is giving me a really deep clean, while not stripping my skin of moisture. In fact, my body feels extremely soft after using this. I don't even need lotion or body oil after this, but of course I use it anyway. This truly is an amazing body wash! I obviously would buy this again.
Honestly, this stuff is great. It's pretty cheap ($7 at Walmart) and it is a perfect daytime moisturizer for me. It's a light green gel formula which feels very light-weight and makes a great base under makeup. It also has SPF 30 which is very important, and good because many moisturizers with SPF only have 15, not 30. My skin always feels hydrated and smooth, and I don't burn or tan when I use this *knock on wood*. It has UVA and UVB protection which is essential. Yes this sunscreen looks fine in pictures, it doesn't make your face look super duper white. One pump is generally enough for my whole entire face. This also absorbs rather quickly on me, and my skin just drinks it all up. I noticed when using this, my skin seemed more even slowly over time. In about 1 month, I noticed an improvement in my skin from using this. This has never caused me breakouts or clogged pores from using this as well. The packaging on this kind of sucks, I admit. They have the moisturizer come out on hole in the pump, and the sunscreen come out the other. To get the pumps to flow nicely I have to tap it really hard a few times on a countertop. You could also pull of the pump, and click the buttons below to get them to flow evenly. It generally isn't a problem, except for when your bottle is new, and then when your bottle is running low. This has lasted me for about 6 months using this only mornings, and I already have and will continue to repurchase.
Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Cleanse- Tea Tree Special Shampoo
lindsey251 12/12/2009 9:11:00 PM
I always have this on hand, in case I venture out into shampoos, and they make my hair gross with buildup. For that this stuff works, and I will continue to keep purchasing unless I find my HG shampoo. But anyways, this stuff is a really good clarifying shampoo. It is a dark mint green color, and a thick gel-like consistensy. It lathers fairly well on your hair with a very strong rosemary lavender mint smell. It definitely lingers through your hair after you have rinsed. It leaves an amazing tingling feel on the scalp and completely strips your hair of any oils. It's a really deep clean that you get with this. It is not meant to be used everyday. It's also safe for color treated hair. I'd rebuy.
Lip Treatments -Mary Kay - Satin Lips - Lip Mask only
lindsey251 12/6/2009 7:26:00 PM
This stuff is a lifesaver for me. My lips chap very easily, especially in the winter. It's so quick and easy too! All you do is apply a pea sized amount to your lips, wait 2 minutes and rinse off. It exfoliates your lips really well, and moisturizes them. It gets all of the dead skin off, and my lips are so soft and smooth. This is a miracle worker for me. The packaging is very convenient as well, it is in a squeeze tube. Yes of course I would buy it again.
Wow! What a gorgeous color. It's a dark brown with a plmmy undertone, with plum + gold shimmers. The color is to die for! Makes a great fall/winter color, but like another reviewer said below, with a tan and a white bikini, this color could really pop! Application went on smooth, with 2 coats needed. I LOVE the prowide brush as well. Without a top coat, this chipped within 9 days! Wow, amazing chip factor for me! And no, I don't have acrylic nails. I am aware that it takes longer for a polish to chip with acrylics. But my nails are all natural. This is easy to remove as well. Of course I'd rebuy this.
