I can't believe people hate the scent so much! I really like it, it's a soft clean smelling scent, definitely not overpowering. I love this moisturizer, it's thick but not too thick! I use it on nights when my skin is feeling extra dry, and when I wake up in the morning my skin feels soft and hydrated. PLUS this is only like 5 dollars....can you go wrong? Plus if you don't like it for your face, it would be a great body moisturizer :)
My new favourite MAC eyeshadow! I have wanted it forever, and recently Back2Mac'ed for it, and couldn't be happier. I love shades like this because I can wear it all over the lid and it's gorgeous, or it works great as a crease shade. It's also very smooth and pigmented. If you are thinking of trying this out...I HIGHLY recommend it!
This product has been re-packaged recently, and also there are only 3 shades now, Light, Medium and Dark. I am NW15ish (fairly pale, but not the palest of pale) and the 'Light' shade works perfectly for my skin. The packaging: LOVE! A little pot with a snap lid, great for using your finger or a brush, and no wastage. My favourite packaging for a concealer. It's also very cute and easy to take along in your purse. It's so creamy and blendable, I really love it. It's not the highest coverage concealer I have ever tried, but it works great for my purposes (mild breakouts and mild undereye circles). If you have severe issues to cover, this is not the product for you. It is a little expensive, as all Arbonne products, but it's a great vegan, cruelty free brand, with quality products, so although it stings the wallet, I feel it's worth it.
I really think this does make a difference. I've been using this for the past couple days on this nasty zit on my cheek (worst place to get one!) and it's shrunk considerably and is almost gone :) It's not amazing or anything, but I really think it helps - and for the price?? I'll definitely repurchase. A lot of people hate the smell, but I actually kinda like it! It smells very herbally :)
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
linds1986 2/4/2011 2:55:00 AM
This is the only black eyeliner that lasts on me all day without transferring, flaking or wearing off at the inner corners. I have tried so many other liquid, gel and pencil eyeliners, and if I have a long day and won't have time to touch up my makeup, this is what I use. It's very pigmented, only have to go over it once - I use a small angled brush, and it glides on very nicely. It also lasts forever too, since you only need a little bit. Love this stuff.
Powder -Lancome - Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup
linds1986 2/2/2011 1:14:00 AM
Although I think this is a little expensive, it's worth it! I love it. It's the perfect touch-up-half-way-through-the-day powder for me - I keep this in my purse. It even works to slightly conceal my undereyes if I need a little pick me up mid-day. I would buy it again, even due to the price. It has a bit of an "old lady" makeup scent, but I secretly like it because it reminds me of my Granny :)
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
linds1986 11/2/2010 7:20:00 PM
The best liquid eyeliner I have tried - and I have tried many! It is very easy to get a straight line. One thing is I shake it between each dip, or else not enough product comes out on the felt tip and it's hard to get an opaque line. I do one line, wait until it dries, and then go over it again to get it extra black. Does not smudge, lasts all day until I wash it off! (One time I fell asleep with it on and it still looked good in the morning!)
Styling Products -TRESemme - TRESemmé's Fresh Start Refreshing Mist
linds1986 7/31/2010 5:59:00 PM
I think it's funny people are giving this a bad review as a dry shampoo - it's a hair refresher mist, and makes no claims to clean or take oils out of your hair. The Fresh Start line has 2 other products to take care of that :) I use this stuff all the time, especially after using my Tresemme Dry Shampoo (which I love!) it gets rid of any odor, and leaves your hair feeling nice and smooth! I have a hair mask which works awesome, but smells kinda funky, so I use this after I use that too, and am just left with the fresh citrusy smell. Would buy again!
This is a great product, especially for the price! I use 'Taupe' on my eyebrows and it works amazing! There are other eyebrow pencils I prefer (Maybelline Define-A-Brow is my fave), but for 99 cents, you can't go wrong!!!
I wouldn't normally spend 20 dollars on a lip gloss, but this product is worth it! I hate MAC's Lipglasses, they are far too sticky and don't last long on me. This, on the other hand, is everything a Lipglass wishes it was (in my opinion, anyways)! Not overly sticky, gives a very pretty hint of pink, and has good lasting power. I hardly ever finish up lip products (because I have so stinkin' many), but when I finish this I will be buying a new one. LOVE IT! :)
I have this in black, and I LOVE it. It's very opaque, and glides on so nicely. Doesn't smudge on me in the inner corners of my eyes like a lot of other eyeliners do. Often you can find these on a deal too (like 2 for $8), so it's very reasonably priced.
A lot of people are reviewing the 'shimmer' version on this post...which is a totally different product, so be careful when reading the reviews :) I really like this product. You just need a little dot - it kind of feels like a silicon-based primer when you blend it in (like Smashbox Photofinish). When you rub it in it develops into a very natural looking pink glow. I like it because I can just add a little onto the apples of my cheeks halfway through the day and I look refreshed. I'd buy again - considering it's only 7 bucks, and you need the tiniest little amount, it's a great buy!
This is just a brow gel - it does not add any tint to your eyebrow, which the description leads you to believe. The gel is tinted slightly, but it comes off as clear once on your eyebrows. That being said, it is a good brow gel, and I like the applicator. But I do need to use a pencil to fill in my brows beforehand. If you don't need any colour to fill in your eyebrows and just want a gel to keep them in place, this might be worth a try. If not...take a pass on this one.
LOVE this! I have dry, sensitive, yet acne prone skin and this has been so great for my skin. It did not break me out, and has kept my skin in great condition. I spray my face with Lush's Breath of Fresh Air Toner, and then while that is still wet I massage in just a little of this moisturizer (a little goes a long way). I love the way it smells and the way it makes my skin feel. Favourite moisturizer I have tried thus far (and that has been MANY!)
Deodorants -The Body Shop - DeoDry Dry-Effect Deodorant
linds1986 7/12/2010 3:16:00 PM
I am a HUGE Body Shop fan, but I am sad to say I didn't like this deodorant at all. I got the scent Fresh & Floral in the stick form. I didn't like the shape of it when you first get it, it's almost square which makes it awkward to apply. The smell was ok, but if anything a little too strong. It didn't work very well for me either as far as keeping me dry and smelling good; at the end of the day I don't think I smelled as fresh as I would have liked to. Mind you, it was a warm day, but still, I don't EVER notice this with my other deodorants. I would definitely not re-purchase.
