Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Medium Plus
lincris 7/12/2012 4:05:00 PM
I have a lot of blemishes and scars from acne. I apply liquid foundation (only on the areas that have blemishes-my cheeks mostly) and then mac studio concealer. To finalize everything, I apply Mac MSFN to set the foundation and concealer and even out the skin tone with the rest of my face. When done doing all of this, my face looks flawless! I enjoy that it provides coverage vs all of my other powders that mostly set the makeup. Before using MSFN, I used to use Mac Fix+ a lot in order to remove the cakey look from my face. Now, I haven't been using it that much because the finish of this powder is so beautiful, not cakey. In fact, I would say my face has a dewy look after it, which I enjoy. The downside is the price, but I have been looking around for a dupe, so that I can keep it in my purse, but no luck whatsoever...This is indeed a great product, and I'll buy it again for its great results, unless my acne goes away and I don't need the excellent coverage anymore.

Palettes -Too Faced - Romantic Eye
lincris 7/3/2012 5:03:00 PM
I LOVE this palette! I own the Naked palette, thebalm nude, etc. However, there's something about this palette that makes it so unique. The colors are great, the quality amazing, the combinations you can create are endless. The shadows are so easy to blend and long lasting (I always wear primer). The colors are adorable! I love the green one. I have green eyes, so these work perfectly. I also own the smokey eye, and I want to get the summer one. The other two natural and naked are too similar to the other 6 naked/nude palettes I own. Either way, romantic eye is my favorite palette, and this is coming from a makeup junkie :)

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+

I love this product! I'm not a Mac fanatic. Meaning I buy products from other brands, but I do LOVE my Mac Fix+. A single bottle lasts a long time. I tend to wear a lot of foundation because of all the blemishes I got to cover (acne scars, etc). I never look cakey because Fix + helps with that. I use it after applying my foundation and when I'm done with all of makeup. Did I mention that I love it? I totally recommend it!

Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
lincris 4/2/2012 8:26:00 PM
I have been using this product for a while now. I used to use it by itself sometimes. My use of makeup used to be minimal. I recently started suffering from acne, which meant that I started to use liquid foundation to cover up my blemishes better. The results weren't the best, but I started to combine the liquid foundation with this, and what a difference! My face looks almost normal, and I can't do my makeup routine without this powder. I also got to love their color range. I have found a true match indeed! Update: I bought Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Natural, and I don't like this powder anymore. When I use it, it feels like it doesn't do anything, except leave my face all cakey.

Lips -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
lincris 4/2/2012 8:19:00 PM
I hesitated a lot before buying this color. Like many others, I saw the ad with Emma Stone, and it looked lovely. However, her skin tone and mine are very different. I read that a lot of the reviews mentioned the shimmer and how problematic it was. Well, I finally decided to purchase it, and I really like it. It's moisturizing, easy to apply, and the color looks almost like a nude on me (medium skin tone). It does have some shimmer but nothing scary more like complementary to the look. True, it isn't long lasting, but like I mentioned before it's moisturizing. This makes the formula kind of "soft" compared to other lipsticks. If you get it on sale, I say give it a go.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Nude Delight
lincris 4/2/2012 8:15:00 PM
I have been looking for a good nude lipstick for a while. As I purchase mostly drugstore lipsticks, I decided to acquire the most popular ones: soft nude-revlon, summer angel-rimmel, fairest nude-l'oreal and the list goes on and on with about 10+ lipsticks. I'll have to say that out of all of them "nude delight" is the best. I really like the nude tone it gives to my lips. I don't look like I just ate a donut, which is a look I have tried to stay away from. My skin tone is medium, so if you're looking for a nude that compliments you rather than making you look washed out, I would recommend trying this color. (If you're are into shimmers, revlon peach parfait is a nice moisturizing option).

Mascara -L'Oreal - Waterproof Voluminous Carbon Black
lincris 1/29/2012 10:19:00 PM
A lot of people like this mascara, including most of my family. I tried it about 4 years ago, and I decided to give it a go this year. For some reason, it doesn't work for me. It smudges, it doesn't make my lashes fuller either. It's very black, which is nice. I used to use it in combination with one of my favorite mascaras, full n' soft by Maybelline as a top layer. When I first used it about 4 yrs ago, it was simply horrible! I had raccoon eyes in no time, this time, it was just alright. There are other mascaras that are way better!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Kabuki Face Brush
lincris 11/1/2011 6:46:00 PM
I LOVE THIS BRUSH! I have tons of brushes and when I first got it, I used to use it to apply my mineral veil at the end of my make up routine or decrease the intensity of my blush if overdone. Well, it's sooo wonderful that it went from being just one of the brushes to THE brush. I use it to apply my mineral loose powder make up. Pros: -Cheap -Dense -Super soft -no shedding! (Even my mac brushes shed, my elf kabuki, doesn't!) Cons: -None! If you want a kabuki, get this one. You won't regret it. It's an amazing brush and it happens to be super affordable! UPDATE!!! I ordered two more elf kabukis, and I go them on 11/14/2011. Well, they ARE NOTHING like they used to be. They are significantly smaller, not dense at all, and they aren't as soft. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED!

Primer/ Corrector -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Primer
lincris 11/1/2011 6:37:00 PM
I have tried several primers, BE, l'oreal and MAC. However, this is my FAVORITE one! It makes my makeup last and it covers up my acne scars. It's an excellent primer. However, the container is a nightmare!!! I have had 3 of this, 2/3 have stopped working after 2 uses or so. I twist and twist and nothing comes out! It's frustrating. A simple pump would do the trick, anything but this twisting thing...Great product! I hope PF will actually improve this product just by changing the packaging.

Eyeliner -Prestige - Total Intensity Eyeliner-Daring Green 03
lincris 11/1/2011 6:28:00 PM
I did a lot of research trying to find the right eyeliner. The rating for this product is high, and I wish I could enjoy this GREAT product, but unfortunately, I wear contacts and this eyeliner made my vision sooooo blurry! It has never happened before and driving with blurry vision was scary. So please, be informed that IF YOU WEAR CONTACTS, this is not the best option for you. Such a shame...
