Polishes -OPI - Over The Taupe
lilpumpkin 10/2/2010 10:39:00 PM
This polish is hands down the classiest color for the fall. Its a little lighter than YDKJ & I prefer it over the aforementioned color because it looks fantastic on my pale freckled skin. The thing I love about this polish the most is the formula. Im a messy polisher, and everytime I use OTT I get the most perfect, flawless mani that requires minimal to no cleanup. Get it, you'll LOVE.

Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Humectant Conditioner
lilpumpkin 8/24/2010 10:06:00 PM
With this conditioner, you get what you pay for. I love a good bargain and am definitely no hair care snob, but this conditioner claims to moisturize as well as Nexxus Humectress, and as I finally purchased the Nexxus version of this product and have been using it for a week or so now, let me tell you, there is no comparison. Using the Suave version, my hair fair strawlike and damaged, especially the ends .. they were brittle and disgusting and I couldnt figure out why .. until I took the plunge and spent 10 bucks on the Nexxus version. It is so worth it to spring the extra few dollars for the real deal ; this Suave version just doesnt cut it for me.

Palettes -Urban Decay - Urban Ammo Eye Palette
lilpumpkin 7/8/2010 12:17:00 AM
I love the beautiful pigmented shadows in this palette. This is my first big Urban Decay purchase and my first e/s palette beside the Coastal Scents palette and coming from a girl who has always used cheapy drugstore eyeshadows, the difference is remarkable. Used in conjunction with the Primer Potion sample I recieved from Sephora, the color stayed in place all day with no creases whatsoever, which is amazing because my lids are super oily and everything else falls off .. not to mention were in the middle of a ninety five plus degree heat wave right now!! I love this palette and I would absolutely repurchase should I ever run out, and this has totally inspired me to see what else UD has to offer. Took off one lippie because the glitter in certain shadows (especially Maui Wowie) does fall out pretty terribly, but Ill deal. Overall, I LOVE IT.

Polishes -Essie - Van d'Go
lilpumpkin 6/10/2010 12:58:00 AM
I love this color. Its absolutely gorgeous on my PPP skin and actually makes me look tan!*shock* Yes, the formula does suck. It is goopy and streaky and requires epic amounts of patience as it takes at least three coats and a big goopy coat of tc to smooth everything over. I will use this polish up because the color is gorg, but I will not repurchase cause the formula is weak.

Brows -Unlisted Brand - castor oil
lilpumpkin 6/7/2010 1:21:00 PM
I too had an allergic reaction to this around my eyes. I used it all over my face as an oil cleanser mixed with a few other oils (which i had no problems with in the past w/o castor oil in the mix) and i awoke with beautiful skin, yes, but a swollen, watery, red, crusty eye. sexy? i think not. i have had no problems with any other oils (evoo, almond, vitamin e oil) around my eyes. i should have known before putting a friggin laxative near my eye. i mean really. please use this around your face with caution if you have sensitive eyes.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Oil Cleansing Method OCM
lilpumpkin 6/7/2010 1:16:00 PM
please let this serve as some sort of warning to you. let me preface this review by saying that i have mildly sensitive skin and mildly sensitive eyes. i use almond oil, evoo, and vit e oil to remove eye makeup all the time with no problems, no sensitivity whatsoever, so i blame castor oil for my horrible experience. i used a blend of half castor oil, half almond oil last night for the first time. I used it as directed, smeared it all over, massaged it in, and then rinsed it off. right after rinsing it off, my poor skin was all blotchy and red and felt like it was on fire. figuring i just rubbed too hard with the washcloth, i went to sleep. i woke up in the morning and my skin looked gorgeous .. but it was kind of hard to see my beautiful skin because my eye was crusted shut !! i managed to get it open and my poor left eye is swollen, red as a lobster, and watery. i look like i have pink eye (which i dont, i went to the doctor). i blame castor oil, as it was the only thing i had changed in my routine that night. bad, bad idea for you ladies with sensitive eyes. please use with caution, you dont want to look disease ridden all day if you dont have to, am i right? ugh. *walks off cursing about castor oil*

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Perfectionist Correcting Serum
lilpumpkin 6/6/2010 4:01:00 PM
I cant speak for the effectiveness of the wrinkle fighting abilities of this product as Im only in my earlier 20s, but I recieved a sample of this in a swap as an extra and I put it on before bed and under my makeup in the morning, and it mattifies like a DREAM. I have a very naturally shiny tzone (nose especially) and when I put this on, all my oilies on my nose disappear like magic. I love it just for that reason. I would totally buy the fullsize version of this if I wasn't on a no-buy right now. Love its mattifying abilities.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Nail Color - Club Havana
lilpumpkin 6/2/2010 11:34:00 PM
pros: color is gorgeous, a perfect bright creme for summer. it would look great on someone with a tan. also, the price cant be beat, it was 1.99 at rite aid. cons: the brush handle is short and stubby and really difficult to maneuver, as i like a much longer handle. the formula SUCKS. it was a streaky, goopy mess and took four coats to be even close to opaque, aka it never dried and dented and bubbled hours after putting it on. save the 1.99 you spent on this polish and invest it in a better quality polish, trust me.

Its a pretty color but I can not see wearing this alone and only as a topcoat. I was looking forward to this being more opaque and not just another glittery top coat, but I guess its not so bad for when you have the time to put on like five coats of polish ;x

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick Really Red
lilpumpkin 5/20/2010 12:25:00 AM
I like this lipstick! It looks pretty good on my fair Irish skin ;o) I cant wear a lot of red lipsticks without looking vampy and gothy, but this one passed the test.. I wore it to a party the other night and I got compliments right and left. I wear this when I feel the need to sex it up a bit. Three lippie rating is due to its wear. It doesnt last much on me, had to touch it up three times throughout the night and I wasnt even eating, just drinking. Oh well. Color payoff it worth it.

Tools -Tweezerman - Cuticle Nipper
lilpumpkin 5/19/2010 11:58:00 PM
I feel ridiculous when I think of how much money Ive spent getting my nails done at the salon all these years before I discovered that I could indeed cut my own cuticles. I bought this nipper for 22 dollars for CVS. The price tag is a little steep but it practically pays for itself when you think of all the uses youll get out of it. Its super sharp, requires no skill whatsoever to use, and comes with free sharpening by tweezerman and a lifetime warranty which is pretty badass. I definitely love my tweezerman nipper.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Wild Shine - Blazed 437F
lilpumpkin 5/19/2010 11:42:00 PM
I had absolutely none of the problems that others had with this polish. In two coats it was perfectly opaque and free of streaks and bald spots. Its not an OPI polish by any means, but for a drug store polish that I picked up for about fifty cents, this product can absolutely not be beat. I just started doing my nails on my own a few weeks ago and if a nube like myself can do it with no problems, I'm sure you can too. Just use a thick base coat!

Lipstick -MAC - Amplified Creme - Girl About Town
lilpumpkin 5/17/2010 9:06:00 PM
This is a beautiful color and I find it can be very versatile. If you only wear a bit under some gloss its a very toned down pink and is totally appropriate for day but I wouldn't wear it full on fuschia for a day look, I guess Im just not that brave. Its very fun for summer though. The only reason I wouldnt repurchase is because Im sure theres a dupe out there for a fifth of the price. Its a great color but its nothing unique.

Mascara -E.L.F. - Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara
lilpumpkin 5/16/2010 5:07:00 PM
awful, pointless mascara. i feel like i was duped into buying this, but it was my own fault. i was in a rush because the store was about to close and i was attracted by the super cheap sticker price..lame, i know. after i got home, i opened it, and realized it was the tiniest tube of mascara id ever seen. i should have just not been a cheapskate and got another lashblast. damn :x it does nothing for my lashes. absolutely nothing. its the equivalent of putting goopy black paint on my lashes. no lengthening, no volumizing, no nothing. they can repackage this crap and sell it as shoe polish as far as im concerned.
