Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Black Out Mascara
lilprincess428 8/6/2012 1:37:00 PM
I am obsessed. Beyond obsessed. I have repurchased this so many times already I can't even count. I love trying new mascaras and trying to get that thick and long fake eyelash look. I do like my eye makeup (mainly my lashes) to be dramatic- almost Kardashian like. This mascara does that, although it is not too much for daytime either. I have tried so many different mascaras, and this by far gives me the best result: thick, long, curly and most of all, it stays all day! I have not had any issues with smudging or flaking, and I wear contact lenses so it seems like I'm messing with my eyes all day. I recently added the Diorshow Maximizer primer which just makes this product even better (I will do a separate review for that). This mascara does dry out quicker than some others, but I get so happy when I buy a new gooey mascara that reminds me why I love it (as it obviously doesn't work as well one it starts drying out). I would recommend this mascara to everyone- it does a great job of making your eyelashes stand out!
Love love love love!! This is the best bronzer available, hands down, especially if you tan or just like to be dark in general. I first bought it at a tanning salon when I was in college for around $25. I just bought it online for around $13, I couldn't believe it! It goes on sheer enough that it looks natural but it still gives a great tan color. I often wear it alone because it makes my skin look nearly flawless in addition to providing the gorgeous color. I have kind of a fetish with bronzers and have tried many different brands, and while I have found other good ones, this is definitely my favorite. It lasts awhile, about a year, and the packaging is good (it has a mirror in it if you put it in your purse, but the brush that comes with it sucks.) I did drop the compact once and the powder broke up everywhere and was a mess, but that would probably happen to most compacts. I think I have finally realized that this is definitely the best bronzer and am going to stop looking around and stick with this. Official HG :)
I adore this perfume. It's the perfect daytime scent, in my opinion. It is good to wear at night occasionally, but I usually prefer to wear something a bit sexier at night. The bottle is gorgeous and looks amazing on my vanity table. Love it!
Concealers -Bare Escentuals - Well-Rested For Eyes

This is one of those products that is more of a luxury rather than a necessity, but I absolutely love the way it looks. The MUA at Ulta showed me how to put it on after my BE makeup. I put on the BE foundation as an undereye concealer (I don't have particularly bad undereye circles though.) Then I do the rest of my face makeup (foundation, bronzer, blush) and then put this on top- under my eyes, in the corners, on my brow bone, and even extended onto the top part of my cheekbone (over my blush/bronzer a bit.) It makes my skin look luminous, with that glow that celebrities always have. I really feel like a star with this on! It's so subtle, yet has a huge impact. This is probably my favorite makeup "extra" and one of my fave BE products.
This is a great shine spray. I have tried several others and most either don't really work or leave my just-washed hair looking greasy (although, I tend to spray too close sometimes and this one can look a bit greasy if sprayed too close also- but not nearly as greasy as other sprays.) But, when used correctly, it delivers a very fine mist that lightly coats a significant amount of hair, so you only need a few sprays. I have very long hair and I use about 4 sprays. It makes my hair shiny (no small feat for blonde hair) and super-soft. I use it in conjunction with the Pureology Shinemax serum on my damp hair before blowdrying and the combination is fabulous! I sometimes will spray a little after blowdrying and straightening my hair to "finish" it, but I don't want to use too much product on my hair. The only negative for me is the price, which I typically don't care too much about because if a product works it's usually worth it. But this is super expensive for a hair product that does not last that long, especially for someone with long hair like me. That being said, I have repurchased twice already :) Each bottle lasts me a few months, maybe even 6. But I just love it, I can't help it!
I LOVE this!! I first bought this a year or more ago, used it for a little while, and then forgot about it. I recently changed my whole skin care routine and was not really seeing any results, good or bad. Then one night I found this in my cabinet and decided to try it again. I am not entirely sure what toner does exactly, but I know it can help by removing makeup and oil that cleansing didn't. It certainly did that, as I was shocked at how much makeup and dirt were still on my face, as evidenced by the cotton pad. Plus, it tingles which feels good, and I love the dispenser on this, it's so fun to use! (The reviewers who said they don't like the dispenser- they do realize that you push down on it with a cotton pad on top and not pour it out, right?) Anyway, I did notice that by holding the pad while dispensing it, my fingers have become flaky and dry, the only negative side effect for me. But overall this product works really well! A week or two after adding this to my nightly routine, I noticed how great my skin was looking and realized it had to be because of this. My skin looks much smoother, my pores smaller, controls oil and acne, diminishes blackheads, and my overall skin tone is more even. My face looks like it's glowing (in a good, non-oily way), even without makeup, and I never really even considered my skin dull before. My skin is more oily than combination and is not very sensitive, and after reading other reviews, it seems like that is how your skin should be to use the #3. If it is more normal/combination, I would probably try the #2. Since my skin is more oily, this does not feel harsh on my skin or make it red or anything like that. It just works! And the price really isn't bad at all, since this product lasts forever. HG for me, definitely!
Conditioner -Frederic Fekkai - Moisturizing Conditioner with Shea Butter
lilprincess428 1/16/2010 9:59:00 PM
I reallyyy wanted to love this conditioner. I have heard so many great things about Fekkai products but since I usually buy my hair products at my salon and they don't sell them I had never tried them before. I purposely went out of my way to buy this Fekkai s&c after reading the reviews. I always use a moisturizing conditioner since I have long, highlighted blonde hair that can tangle fairly easily so I thought this would be perfect. Well, while the shampoo was absolutely amazing (separate review for that) this conditioner was horrible. Now to be fair, I have only used it once and I will try it again, and if I get different results I will edit, but for now I am seriously disappointed. My hair was a coarse, dry, tangled mess. I had just had a trim but you would never have known it by looking at my hair. My ends felt and looked like they were fried. After straightening my hair, this went away slightly but they still felt dry and rough. I couldn't believe the results coming from a moisturizing conditioner. I have never had this problem with all of the dozens of other moisturizing conditioners I've tried before. In fact, I just washed my hair today with the Fekkai Shea Butter shampoo and instead of using the conditioner, tried using some leftover TRESemme Smooth & Silky conditioner with it and had much, much better results. I never ever return anything, much less beauty products, but I may actually try to return this. So disappointed :(
Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - Moisturizing Shampoo with Shea Butter
lilprincess428 1/16/2010 9:44:00 PM
I really really like this shampoo. I have long, highlighted blonde hair that is somewhat dry due to the processing and in the winter my scalp gets sooo dry. My hairstylist suggested using a moisturizing shampoo mainly for my dry scalp. This shampoo is amazing for my hair. It does a great job of moisturizing my scalp and hair (I only use it on my roots) and leaving it so smooth, silky, and soft. My hair is seriously so soft I just want to run my hands down it all day! As much as I love the shampoo, unfortunately, I do not love the conditioner. I will do a separate review for that, but I seriously can't believe how dramatically different the results are for a matching shampoo and conditioner. But the shampoo is worth the money in my opinion!
Clothes -Victoria's Secret - Very Sexy Collection V-Plunge Gel Push-up Bra
lilprincess428 1/16/2010 9:30:00 PM
Amazinggg bra!!! I own probably close to 10 of these haha- I am so obsessed :) About a year and a half ago I had a breast augmentation, going from barely a 34B to a 34D. I loved this bra when I had smaller boobs, as obviously I wanted them to look bigger. I wasn't sure I'd still like it after having surgery, because they're big now. But it is still my absolute favorite bra! Whether you have small or large breasts, it gives you wonderful cleavage and is comfortable enough to wear everyday, all day. I cannot say enough great things about this bra! It is a must-have for all women.
Conditioner -TRESemme - Smooth and Silky Vitamin H and Silk Proteins
lilprincess428 1/16/2010 9:18:00 PM
I love this conditioner! This is officially my HG conditioner. I have very long, straight/wavy, somewhat dry, highlighted blonde hair and it leaves it soo soft, silky, and smooth. I had been using this for months (as the bottle is never-ending) without paying too much attention to the results, just being satisfied. But I like to switch up my products every now and then so after my last salon visit, I decided to splurge on expensive s&c. I bought Fekkai Shea Butter s&c thinking it would be moisturizing. Well, I love the shampoo, but oddly, hate the conditioner. The conditioner left my hair a coarse, dry, tangled mess. Only then did I realize how amazing this conditioner really is. I just washed my hair with the Fekkai shampoo and used this TRESemme conditoner with it and it solidified my thoughts on the two conditioners. This is great for detangling long hair, and it doesn't weigh it down since I only use it on the ends of my hair. My hair truly feels like silk. What a relief that I don't have to spend 10 times the amount of money on my conditioner!
Bronzers -LORAC - TANtalizer Body Bronzing Luminizer
lilprincess428 10/11/2009 11:21:00 PM
I love this!! I bought it on a whim (I can't control myself in Sephora) and thankfully it's great! I always put it on my legs when I wear a dress and usually on my arms and cleavage also. It goes on so easily and looks natural. It also gives a subtle sparkle that looks great. It dries fairly quickly and a little bit goes a long way. I will definitely repurchase but it lasts so long it will probably be years before I have to! So to me it's definitely worth the price. I did drop the bottle once and a piece of the cap broke off, and now it won't shut, but that would probably happen to any bottle if dropped. I can still store it normally and nothing spills, so it doesn't bother me. This stuff is definitely a must-have, especially for fancy or special occasions!
Skincare - Face -Oxy - Oxy Maximum Daily Cleansing Pads
lilprincess428 9/26/2009 2:45:00 PM
I am surprisingly pleased with this product. My boyfriend uses them and one night I was exhausted and didn't feel like washing my face, so I grabbed one of these. I have oily, somewhat acne-prone skin so I like that they have salicylic acid in them. They are obviously very easy to use, and do a good job getting rid of all my makeup and oil. They keep my skin pretty clear, especially compared to some other products. I now use these daily.
Skincare - Body -NADS - Hair Removal System - No-Heat Hair Removal Gel
lilprincess428 9/26/2009 2:30:00 PM
*This is for Nad's Natural No-Heat Hair Removal Gel in the green tub* This is the worst product!!! I tried this twice- first on my bikini line, then on my legs. The first time, it was very difficult to spread, but I managed to spread a little on my bikini line, put the strip down, and experienced the most pain in my life. And yes, I have had professional brazilian bikini waxes before. It only ripped out maybe half the hairs, and I was actually BLEEDING. In several places. So I was done. Months later, I figured I'd give it a try again on my legs. It is SO hard to spread on, like it literally didn't spread. I didn't try warming it, which looking back, I should have. But I had never waxed before and didn't think of it. But again, it got almost no hairs. Plus, now that I have a little more waxing experience, I realize how few strips they give you. I forget exactly how many it was, but it was laughable. I bought the Gigi Honee Microwaveable Wax and have never looked back.
Hair Removal -Gigi - All Purpose Honee Microwave Formula Wax Kit
lilprincess428 9/26/2009 1:49:00 PM
I LOVE this wax! I bought it to wax my legs because I get terrible results when I shave- my legs are never smooth, just irritated- and don't have a ton of money to spend at the salon. I figured if it worked well, I'd do my bikini, underarms and arms. I bought the kit because I wanted to make sure I liked it and was able to do it (I'm not the best at this kind of thing) before I bought the warmer and all that. But it was super easy! I did it on a towel on the kitchen floor so I wouldn't have to go up and down the stairs to the microwave. If the wax is the right consistency (thin), it goes on very easily and comes off very easily. It really wasn't that painful. More importantly, I love the results. My legs are not completely smooth (there must have been some shorter hairs mixed in) but they are definitely smoother than when I shave. It took me forever (about 4 hours lol) but it was my first time and I'm sure I'll get faster at it. I also ran out of the muslin strips after the first leg. Luckily I have a great boyfriend who I sent out to Sallys to buy me some more (poor guy haha!) The wax was completely gone by the time I finished, but I'm not sure if that's my fault or not (I tend to overuse products.) And I didn't have a tough time getting the wax off my skin like some others. The Wax Off worked pretty well along with some baby oil. My hands would get pretty sticky at times, but I just soaked a cotton pad with baby oil, rubbed it on my fingers and rinsed with warm water. The after wax lotion (I forget the name) seemed to work pretty well, and I am going to use the Slow Grow lotion daily and see how that works. But this is a great product and I love the results! I am going to buy the large jar and warmer and try a brazilian next- I hope it's just as easy!
