Loose Powders -Unlisted Brand - chacott loose powder
lilmisssunshine 2/20/2011 6:28:00 AM
This powder is excellent in oil-control, it easily wins out of all the loose powders I've tried. I won't even think about going back and try other loose powders after I tried Chacott. Yes it's pretty hard to find outside Japan, but this powder leaves my skin feeling light, and keeps my face fresh. I could totally see the difference on my makeup throughout the day when I use this powder and when I use other loose powder (say Jill Stuart's). This loose powder by Chacott is the best I've come across so far.
Perfect pink for the lips! I am NC25 and i thought such a color would wash me out (it did....at the beginning), after a few trials I finally saw it's working for me and it looks hot on the lips! My only complaint is that it's not moisturizing and not long-wearing enough.
As a collector of Benefit boxes of powders, this one is disappointing. 1. too much glitter; 2. the color doesn't really work out nice, I thought this kind of watermelon pink should be pretty foolproof but no...3. not pigmented enough, I had to swipe 3 times for it to show up on my NC25 skin, weird huh? my brush does picks up a lot of powder per swipe but it just doesn't show up...4. packaging has been resized and amount of product has gone from 11g/12g to 8g only. I don't care for the mirror inside the cardbox, I actually prefer the larger amount of powder in Dallas/Dandelion/Coralista over Bella Bamba with the stupid mirror.
Worst highlighter I've tried, ever. This is supposed to make your skin look 'glowy' but what it did was adding oiliness and grease on my face. Doesn't blend well, color is ashy on my NC25 skin. I can't think of anyway to use this product really, so this goes up for swap. Something about the texture of NARS Multiple make them impractical, the texture makes my face look oily.
Treatments (Eye) -Nivea - Aqua Sensation Eye Cream
lilmisssunshine 2/10/2011 9:47:00 AM
The first two weeks I use this eye cream - I noticed a slight change in my dark circles, they became lighter (OMG!!!). After a few months, this stuff didn't really work on my circles =___=''' this is such a pity because I thought it would be THE eye cream that sort of works! The price is not cheap, and the jar is a bit bulky...it's in sort of a tempered glass jar...and it's difficult to open without the jar flying out of your hand if you screw the cap too hard. This eye cream is not bad, but it's not a miracle either.
Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Koji - DollyWink Pencil Liner in Brown
lilmisssunshine 2/10/2011 9:43:00 AM
This Japanese pencil liner is great! it's comparable to UD 24/7 liner imo. I'm always on the look for a perfect brown liner (black is too harsh for my look). My HG was Urban Decay 24/7 in Bourbon, which has glitter in it. This DollyWink pencil liner in Brown doesn't have glitter, it's matte and the texture is so smooth and glides on easily! It doesn't smudge, and has the cutest packaging, a baby-pink colored pencil dotted with brown dots and two ''bows'' are printed on it with the words "DollyWink" at the centre <3 can it be cuter?! Price is average, priced at like 10 euros but the quality is excellent.
Eye Shadow -Tarina Tarantino - Magic Hour Smudge Pen
lilmisssunshine 2/10/2011 9:39:00 AM
Packaging is crap, terrible design. Everytime you open the pen there would be eyeshadow powder going over the screw lid...pigmentation is alright, but the sponge tip (i hate sponge tip eyeshadow applicators!) is extremely hard to work with. It doesn't really blend well (the tip), i could feel that the tip picks up some original color of eyeshadow on my lid -.-''' kind of defeats the purpose...The amount of product you get is extremely small for the price (not that cheap imo), you get just a mere 0.5 g. WTF?!
Lipstick -Clinique - Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick
lilmisssunshine 2/10/2011 9:37:00 AM
i love the formula of this lipstick! It's not overly moisturizing, and most importantly, not sticky!! I love how sheer and moderately pigmented the color is, and the color that i have #Natural gloss is very natural on my lips. It's perfect for that MLBB look. It's my favourite go-to lipstick now :) would definitely repurchase just for the formula! it's dreamy smooth...
Treatments (Eye) -Garnier - Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller
lilmisssunshine 2/10/2011 9:34:00 AM
This did absolutely nothing to my eyes. period. don't waste money.
the most stupid design for a blush, color doesn't come out natural, difficult to apply, don't blend easily
Lip Gloss -Korres - Cherry Full Color Gloss in #23
lilmisssunshine 1/2/2011 12:50:00 AM
I got this gloss in 5 colors and #23 light purple is one of them. I love how opaque this gloss is, but hate the shimmer in it, i could literally feel the shimmer flecks with my lips. Also the cherry smell smells kind of like my childhood cough syrup and i'm not sure if I want to smell it after applying on my lips...
Lip Treatments -Korres - Mandarin Lip Butter Stick
lilmisssunshine 1/2/2011 12:48:00 AM
My friend gave me this in Rose, the red was too intense for my liking :( Also there is a petroleum kind of smell in it which turned me off. I know this is a lipstick but does it have to smell like that? I love the faint mandarin smell in this but the petroleum smell is kinda overpowering it. Also the stick comes in the form of a round-shaped tip and it's very hard to apply with precision. I would love to try the one in Peach though but that's it, this product is not impressive by any standard...
I got a tube of this and my family loves it for the winter. They used this on their hands and marveled at the speed at which this lotion dried on their hands! The scent is okay, but i dont like the faint minty smell in it, but it's not that overwhelming so it's still acceptable.
The color is a bit too mature of someone at my age, and i used the rapid dry top coat in this collection and they both didn't last for more than 2 days. When the color chips away it leaves my nails looking very ugly. I used other OPI polishes before but they lasted for at least 5 days so I am disappointed with this one.
I love this stuff - the lavender whiff of smell and the feel it gives me after cleansing! this is not meant to be a makeup remover people, so don't complain this doesn't remove your makeup, go get yourself a proper makeup remover (oil or wipes!). My gripes is the packaging - the tub is so tiny and i can see that i will finish my tub in a manner of 1.5 months and the price tag is hefty! Plus the mixing with water before you can cleanse is a bit clumsy and troublesome if you're in a rush in the morning :) but other than that i'll repurchase! Took off one lippie because of the price and the clumsiness when using it.
