Blush -Smashbox - Blush Rush in Ecstasy

Love this blush. I received it as a gift and find myself coming back to it over and over again whenever I try something new. It's a great neutral color that is not too pink, not too peach and not too shimmery. Just a great natural blush!

Polishes -Maybelline - Color Show - All
rated 5 of 5

I really thought I was going to be disappointed by the color especially when the first coat looked so thin. But give it the second coat!! Not only do these nail polishes keep their hue with dense color, but it has also outlasted all my Essie, Opi and Matesse nail polishes. It has gone a full 7 days with no chips, just some fading at the tips and well, my nails grow fast so I changed polish. So inexpensive and great to play around with.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Perfection Volumizing Mascara
rated 3 of 5
lillian1717 10/2/2012 11:17:00 PM

It's really just mediocre. I think it's best for an average everyday mascara to give a light coat to the lashes, but really doesn't do much for volumizing or lengthening. For anything dramatic, I still go for Armani.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Silk & Shine
rated 2 of 5

One of the worst tasting lip balms. It leaves a very thin layer on the lips that doesn't really sink in. If you hate the feeling of dry chapped lips under a film, this is not for you...

Nails -Essie - Disappearing Conditioning Cuticle Remover
rated 5 of 5
lillian1717 4/6/2012 11:37:00 AM

I've used this twice so far and went out and bought a second tube to keep in my purse last night. I should preface this by saying that I started out with pretty raggedy cuticles. I've been busy and really lazy with my cuticles lately but saw this and decided to give it a shot. I put a teeny squirt of the clear gel on each nail bed, rubbed it in for a few seconds, then used a wooden cuticle pusher and voila - no dry cuticles or hang nails. Yep...I had some gnarly hangnails that I was going to get around to getting cut, but they disappeared too! I wouldn't say that my cuticles are "100% perfect" but considering the state they were in, it has made a drastic improvement. I'd say that if you're looking to skip the manicurist every so often, or need a quick fix - this is it. I'm not sure what is in it (and not sure I want to know) but it's like something just disintegrates the dead skin....scary, but amazing.

Tinted Moisturizer -Revive - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
lillian1717 7/11/2011 1:39:00 PM

Amazing product! I'm usually skeptical of TM's based on previous experience with them in addition to my pickiness with foundations also. This has a very sheer/light coverage and goes on incredibly smooth. It takes very little effort to put it on with no streaks. It doesn't make my combination skin break out, get too shiny or show flakes on dry patches. Pricey at $85, but I've had my tube for 2+ months now and I don't think I'm anywhere close to finishing it. Whatever they have in here, in addition to the SPF 15, has helped my skin even out and I pretty much use this exclusively with a tiny bit of concealer - no more foundation/powder.

Scrubs -Kanebo - Refreshing Foaming Body Exfoliator
rated 2 of 5

Would I purchase? No. But I received a sample of it and tried it out. The exfoliating beads are pretty small and I didn't feel like I got that really scrubbed feeling. I also had to go back into the shower twice more to rinse residual beads. It takes FOREVER to rinse off.

Scrubs -Bobbi Brown - Buffing Grains For Face Adzuki Bean Powder
rated 2 of 5
lillian1717 6/29/2010 1:26:00 PM

Not good for sensitive skin at all. I've tried using it with water making a paste, in my cleanser, etc, but the grains are just too harsh for my skin. After I use it, my skin is left with a painful stinging sensation, so I have stopped using it because it's too rough for me. The lip of the jar is also fairy wide, so the grains can get a little messy pouring out.

Lotions/ Creams -NARS - Ginger Grapefruit Body Lotion
rated 2 of 5
lillian1717 12/28/2009 10:07:00 PM

Other than the scent, this really isn't a very good moisturizer. Probably best if you want something light in the summer. The scent however is really pretty and refreshing, and lasts throughout the morning/afternoon. My skin is typically very dry, so this was a bit of a disappointment since it wasn't moisturizing enough. And at $40 a bottle, it was not cheap! The pump is also what you would typically see on a face lotion, so you end up having to pump quite a few times to get enough to use. Pretty expensive for the amount.

Tinted Moisturizer -Shiseido - Tinted Moisture Protection SPF 20
rated 2 of 5
lillian1717 10/27/2009 9:44:00 PM

It's kind of strange that while I agree that this ended up having a very chalky/pasty look, it also made my skin really shiny in a bad way. NOT in a glowy-dewy way, but in a blot-like-crazy kind of way. Not a fan, and not worth the money either. It looked okay indoors, but if you look at yourself outside, the tint is really bad and not natural at all.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Degree Clinical Protection

It says to use two clicks under each arm. I even upped it to three, and no go. Doesn't work and a waste of time and money. I'm sticking with Secret!

Polishes -OPI - Passion
rated 2 of 5
lillian1717 5/27/2009 8:22:00 PM

Agreed, there is nothing "passionate" about this nail color named Passion. In fact, it's not a very flattering color at all. It has a beige tone that ends up looking kind of dull that actually makes your nails look unhealthy like your polish has turned color. Throwing it out immediately.

Mascara -Fresh - Supernova
rated 3 of 5
lillian1717 4/20/2009 10:17:00 PM

Really wanted to love this mascara...it's dark shiny black and coats the lashes really well. But because of my stick straight lashes, even though I curl them, this mascara might be a little too "wet" to hold the curl, so what ends up happening is that it smudges under my eyes. :(

Polishes -Essie - Wife Goes On
rated 4 of 5
lillian1717 4/20/2009 10:13:00 PM

I bought this last summer and never got around to using it...then on a whim I put it on and at first I thought it was too bright, but it's started growing on me as a good, fun coral/red color. It's also fun on the toes and I can see this being my favorite when I'm tanned too...

Conditioner -Charles Worthington - Dream Hair
rated 2 of 5
lillian1717 4/19/2009 6:22:00 PM

Pretty weak for a conditioner, did not moisturize (shampoo really dried my hair out), and the packaging is not very shower/user friendly since it's a smooth cylinder with a cap, and a tiny pump.
