Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - All Colors
lilipusion 3/12/2013 12:33:00 AM
I have bought two of the kissable balm stains. I bought lovesick and rendezvous. I was quite impressed with how pigmented the colors turned out to be, the rendezvous is a tad to orange for me, but both stains are very good. I for one actually like the peppermint oil, it gives the stains a nice minty smell, not a sickly sweet one like other lip products give off. However, I do find that they aren't really that moisturizing, and I tend to put on lip balm before applying the balm stain on. The packaging is really cute, the big crayon look is cool, plus it actually comes with quite a bit of product. The price for me is a little expensive, but I would buy another one if I liked one. I was actually interested in maybe buying a redder one. Like adore. Anyways, I'm not completely in love with this product, but I'm giving it a four out of five stars because they are none the less a good product, that you really can't go wrong with.
I bought this colour because it was a nice plumby/winey colour that I thought would be perfect for fall and winter. The product was very good, with one coat I didnt notice any streaks, and the colour was perfect... I added a second coat though just in case. And when it says Colourstay, it literally means the nailpolish WILL stay. About a week after wearing the polish, I was getting a little bored and thought maybe i'd wear something else... except seriously, this stuff was soo hard to get off. I mean I needed to grab my mother and see if she could help me. It took us forever, and even after we were "done" there was still some residue of it left.. Thats about the one down side. I think the nailpolish packaging is cute.. like nothing special though. And the price maybe is a little much, but I got my moneys worth!
WARNING INCLUDES SPERM AND BLOOD Smelled really overpowering... and actually sweet. Like weirdly sweet.. I was expecting more of a ... i dont know manly scent? I only smelled it at the drugstore, but God thats nasty. Anyways, I'm not buying it even if I did like it. I heard they put her blood, and some guys sperm in that thaaang. o.o
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof
lilipusion 7/29/2012 2:12:00 AM
I've been using this mascara for years! And not once has it disappointed me. The thick brush and sparse bristles make the application of the mascara glide through your lashes. Whether your lashes are thick or thin, this mascara gives more volume and makes your lashes appear longer, and sometimes I dont even need to use an eyelash curler. The little mascara case that it comes in is a nice and bright orange, it corrdinates with the name Lashblast. The price is great for what you get, this mascara is my favorite mascara ever, and so I would pay anything for it! This is honestly one of the only waterproof mascaras that I have tried out that have actually been waterproof! This mascara does not budge from your lashes, so after getting out of the pool your lashes still look big and beautiful ! I will keep buying this product again and again! :)
Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Infiniti You Curl No Clamp Curling Iron
lilipusion 5/7/2012 10:02:00 PM
I was in desperate need of some kind of hair curler when I bought this. I was sick of using my straightener to curl my hair because it took forever, and the curls didnt always turn out the best. I found out about curling wands while watching some videos on Youtube, and I was intrigued! I really wanted to try one out, so all I did was take a small trip to Walmart, found this, and pretty much bought it. I didnt really think anything of it, I like Conair, its actually one of my favorite hair tool brands so I had faith that this was going to be an excellent product. And it is! For the price, it was around $45.00 , I bought it a couple months ago so dont quote me on it. The straightener I use is actually more then $100.00 so I thought it was a very good price. There's nothing fancy about how it looks, I mean I dont care about that kind of stuff. I liked that it came with a heat protectent glove for me it works and I do use it when curling my hair. I like that it doesnt automatically switch to a setting, it comes with many different heat settings so for my thick hair it curls, but for the people with fine hair, you can set it to a lower heat. The curling barrel is a normal size, not to big, not to small, just decent! For the overall product it was worth the money! It curls my hair nicely, I can make bigger messy curls, or I can make small ringlets! I get to style it the way I want to and thats what I love about curling wands! I hope everyone who has bought this product likes it just as much as me- or more, and for the people who havent bought it- go for it:))
BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
lilipusion 4/29/2012 10:24:00 PM
To get things straight I actually haven't bought this product. I got a sample of it in my Glow magazine (you get the magazine since I have a Shoppers Drugmart optimum card). It's the first B.B. cream I've tried, so I wasn't sure what to expect of it. I've heard good and bad things about B.B. creams so I wasn't expecting that much. Boy was I in for a suprise... The product glided on my skin perfectly and all I used was my fingers to blend it in. Unlike some foundations or concelors, it didn't leave any residue nor did it cake my face. It gave my skin a natural glow, and I was lucky that it actually was my natural skin color because I know the color choices are limited to two kinds. I didn't need to use a concelor for under eye bags or for any blemishes, the cream covered it all up perfectly. The one thing that I noticed was that after the first ten minutes my skin felt a little oily. And considering the fact that I don't have oily skin, I was a little alarmed at first, but when I came on here to look at reviews I saw that other people were having the same problem. So I'm still contemplating on whether or not I should buy this. Because although it does everything a foundation/concelor/powder does it leaves my skin feeling oily which I don't like. The packaging in this picture looks ordinary enough, I'm not sure though how big it actually is. But I do know that even the tiny sample I got was more then enough to cover my face, there was a ton of product in it so I imagine the actual product packaging will as well. I'm pretty sure the price was around $14.00 so I think it's a pretty good price for what it is. Anyways, hope if you have bought it you enjoy it, and DEFINATELY don't buy this if you have oily skin. :)
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Jet Black
lilipusion 4/21/2012 6:35:00 PM
This eyeliner is one of THE best black eyeliners I have used. I got it in a little set that also came with the Rimmel London Glam Eyes mascara which I absolutely love! For price I'm not really sure how much it was because I actually got it as a gift and I'm still using the one I got as a gift... The packaging... well there's nothing special, just a black pencil with cap, but I don't really think it's important. About the actual product itself, the pencil glides on smoothly, you don't need to press very hard to get the rich black color- so it's very pigmented, and I don't need to continually sharpen the pencil. Overall I will for sure buy this product again, as soon as I get through it! Thats another good thing, it lasts fairly long! :)
BUY THIS!! Seriously, you will NOT be disappointed! My cousin recommended Paula's Choice to my mom and me, so she got the eye cream, and the before bed eye cream set. I got this and a toner. I noticed that within a couple days my face was clearer. I'm only in grade.9 , but I had worse acne in grade 7-8! People are always complimenting on my skin, and its probably at the best its ever been (before puberty...) Anways the price is great for what the product is worth, packaging is good, but I sometimes squeeze out to much! The product isn't heavy, so it doesn't feel like somethings on your face which I find happens with products like Proactiv. I will keep buying this, as long as I keep getting acne! This product works really well with the Spectro Acne Fighter cleanser :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay so I thought that I should quickly add this in, so this part is edited in! I just wanted to say, that if you plan on using other acne fighting products at the same time wait a while.. because I applied my toner, and moisturiser and right after I applied this product around my nose area started to feel like it was on fire. I thought I just had a sensitive nose, but after looking at the back of the bottle it does advice you to not mix acne products :) anyways enjoy the product!
What were you really expecting when you see a lipgloss for $1.00? I wasn't expecting anything really, but I was at a Target and in need of a lipgloss so I just picked it up. I was suprised at how much I liked this lipgloss though.. a lot better then I thought it was going to be. What I like about this product is that for such a cheap price, it has really everything you need in a lipgloss- its glossy, smells nice, pretty color, and lasts. To be honest I didn't really pay attention to what the color of the one I bought, but I do really like the color I got. The brush is cute and I like applying with it, but I don't like that you have to twist the bottom.. I was sort of confused on what to do when I first bought it. The cons are that the lipstick is a little sticky when you first apply it, the twist at the bottom, and the fact that I'm always accidently twisting out to much lipgloss. This lipgloss isn't a $20.00 Channel lipgloss, but for what it is and what it's worth? I would buy it again :)
Hello (: So I've heard so much about this product, and thought I MUST HAVE IT! I went to Shoppers Drug-mart shortly afterwards and luckily the lipstick was on sale for $3.99, and the regular price was around $10.00! So quite an investment. When I had first tried it, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not... I'm a light beige color in the winter, and can become a warm beige in the summer, so I wasn't sure if it really went with my skin color. But after trying it on again, I absolutely loved it! When I use it I do major foundation/concealer/and powder because for me, my face needs to be spotless to pull off this color, some black Lashblast mascara, and a thick black line on your top lash line! So the price for what I got it for was a great price! I don't buy expensive makeup.. so I thought $10.00 for a lipstick was expensive. The tube the lipstick comes in is cute, not exactly the best tube, but certainly not the worst... it was just plain- but fine by me. The product itself came out as a really pretty barbie pink/ pale pink kind of color, it had some lilac undertones, so if you don't like the matte finish the Revlon Lip gloss in the color lilac would go perfectly with it! Although matte, I didn't find the lipstick drying, but still make sure to add some lip balm before applying (I advice the EOS lipbalm). And the color stayed on from 7:40 in the morning till about.... lunch time. I worked out right after lunch, so I could have easily sweat it off. I've also heard that Pink Pout is almost a replica of Mac's Snob, so if your not into buying expensive lipsticks then you should definitely buy this. I sure will! :)
Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Cotton Candy
lilipusion 3/18/2012 10:30:00 AM
For Christmas this year I got two Bath and Body Works sets, one sweet pea, and the other was country chic. With the country chic I got the body mist, shower gel, lotion, and it came with the Lime Liplicious lipgloss- which smells amazing! With the sweet pea set I got the same stuff, but instead with the Cotton Candy Liplicious lipgloss. First off I know I didn't buy it, but for lipglosses they are quite expensive if not on sale. I do notice however that they come on sale quite frequentley for lets say 3 for $15.00 As for packaging quality its in a simple tube, comes with quite a bit of the product, and the tube is actually really cute! I have the newer version of the tube, and I like it better then the old version. For the actual product itself I didn't think it was going to be tinted, because I've never really had a tinted lipgloss anyways. But the gloss looked like a really pretty sheer pink, that turned out to be an almost clear color with some sparkles in it. I don't usually where it on its own, I find it looks really pretty over a pink lipstick. I don't think its sticky. I like to use a lot of lipgloss on my lips, and I think it just looks really good on me. One thing however is unlike the lime lipgloss, the cottan candy one doesn't smell very appealing. Besides that I would buy it again :) !
This is my second lipstick that I have gotten from Revlon's Colorburst collection. I bought it because I needed a break from hot pinks, so I decided a cute pale pink with a touch of glitter would do nicely with my skin tone. The packaging quality is pretty good, it comes in a really cute black lipstick case, and the lipstick doesn't make a sound when rolling it up. For the product itself, I actually liked it a lot when I first got it... almost wore it everyday. A little side note though, a down factor is that it does not come with much lipstick. Anyways, I bought it in September and it worked fine, showed a little bit of a pale pink color, nothing bright, but its supposed to be pale! Right when it started getting colder, my lips got a little dried out, and a nice lip balm USUALLY helped. But when I had dry lips then applied the lipstick, the color went into the lines on my lips, and the glitter was on my actual lips! It looked weird... So don't buy it if you have dry lips! Price was pretty good for what it actually is, but I don't think I'll buy it again... :)
I got this mascara as a birthday present from one of my friends, it also came with the Rimmel kohl pencil- a must have! The thing that I noticed was how amazingly cute it was! The black and pink case made it seem very girly and *glam* so I loved it at first sight. I'm not sure about the exact price, but I've heard its around 5-7 $. Onto the product.. the mascara wand was thinner, and had a little curve in it, so it applies pretty well. The mascara combined with the wand made my lashes look longer, not so much voluminous. I really do love the mascara, but I bought it because it was supposed to bring volume, which I didn't see in it. That was about the one down fall for this product for me. But I will for sure buy it again! :)
Powder -Cover Girl - Clean Fragrance-Free Pressed Powder
lilipusion 3/17/2012 1:50:00 PM
This was my first powder I ever tried out... haha its actually the only one I've tried out! I got it because my friend recommended it to me when I was a beginner in using makeup. First off I have to say, I've bought three of these pressed powder products by CoverGirl, and not one of them have been hard to open... their all easy to open so I'm not sure why people keep saying that! What I do notice with the packaging quality is that it looks alright, but is actually pretty cheap. I keep mine in a makeup bag, and I notice that the hook that the mirror part is on keeps breaking off, and I'm stuck with a broken container. Price is decent, maybe it would be better if it was a few bucks cheaper, but I don't mind paying $6.00-$8.00 for makeup. The product itself is nice, hides my breakouts, red spots- things like that. What I notice is if I use the puff thing that comes with it, my face looks caked in it... and a little orange? So I use my own powder brush, and blend the powder into my face which makes a nice finish. I never heard anything about the product being tested on animals till I read a review on here saying they did, but I'm not going to believe everything I hear on this site right? So I'm still using it. But I am against animal cruelty... I will buy this again, but when I run out of the one I'm using now, I'm planning on trying the L'oreal Paris powder, good luck everyone :)
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
lilipusion 3/15/2012 10:10:00 PM
I have heard so much things about this Lip product, all good! The thing that probably sold me was when my like idol Michelle Phan said that eos lip balm was one of her favorites! And ironically enough, my friend had all of the lip balms, but didn't really like the Lemon Drop one so she asked if I wanted it! I actually like the Lemon Drop one, it smells nice, and if you do happen to taste it, its yummy! :) I use it everyday before applying lipstick, and it helps a lot if your going to apply a matte lipstick! Definately worth it, packaging is cute, price is good, and I would buy it!
