I received my beautiful, full bottle of VIVA yesterday from my AVON representative. I knew what it smelled like before my order arrived because she gave me a sample vial that made me fall for this unique fragrance. I am a fragrance lover, so I'm always looking for something different. I love my other two fragrances by Fergie but VIVA is in a class all it's own because its sexy, fresh, a little unisex, but still feminine with all it's herbal clean goodness. This is definitely worth a try because the quality is there, it is very well formed. I'm hoping AVON/Fergie will come with more department store quality in the future.
Well I must say, this fragrance does really well on my skin because in no way do I get a sour or stale dairy scent that I've read in reviews here or on B&BW's site. This is a lovely & fresh fruity/floral that I will use for casual days and after my bath at night. I just have the mist and I can smell the different notes in this. B&BW is getting more complex scents and I'm loving it!!!
I Received a full sized bottle of "Charmed Life" lotion w/ a cute little cosmetic pouch at the BBW launch for the "Paris Amour" fragrance line. I really think that Charmed Life will be a hit, the scent is clean while nicely fruity, to me anyways, which makes this one a welcomed change from most of their fragrances. The formulation of this lotion also seems lighter and smoother than others that I have from BBW. While I don't really know all of the notes that make up this scent, I do know that the dry-down is one that us more mature ladies will find sensual, I will purchase the body mist when this is released in October.
This scent is absolutely luscious on my skin, lol! I love how the tuberose is there but doesn't dominate the other notes as. The black currant mingles with the tuberose and I get hints of the leather note ever so often. I wouldn't say this is unique though because there are others that really smell similar, but Outspoken really transforms into something more beautiful than the others once it settles, on me anyway. It really is quite lovely and I will keep this on hand.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Kate Walsh - Boyfriend

I'm a little disappointed in this : ( My local Sephora (the small store located inside jcpenney) didn't have this available, so I took a chance & ordered it from HSN. I'm not getting that scent that's reminiscent (may be misspelled) of the scent that lingers on your man's clothing, etc. It's sweet and smells so much like Halle Berry's first scent "Halle" which I like, but I can pick that up at walmart or the drugstore for much less and have almost, very close to the smell of "Boyfriend". This will be returned.
It's nice, smells a LOT like Miracle from Lancome though.
Fragrances -Lancaster - Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker ] [DISCONTINUED]

On me, this is Lancome's Miracle. I had a couple of bottles of that in past so I'll skip on Covet.
This was one of the samples I received when I purchased "M" by Mariah Carey. I was in a hurry this morning and I just picked this up off of the dresser and dabbed it on, just to have on something. Well, this is actually a really nice fragrance, spicy and warm with some fruity notes and some vanilla, maybe? This is a fragrance that I probably would never have given a chance and now I can't wait til I'm able to purchase it! I kept sniffing my arm all day because I was just amazed at how truly pleasant this is, definately a cool weather fragrance.
After seeing how nice this looks on my mom, I picked up one for myself. On me this looks like a mixture of rose/toffee, and it is sheer but buildable. Somehow, this makes my cheeks look rosy, the same look I noticed about my mom when she's wearing it. The only reason I couldn't rate this a 5 is because I notice that is quite dry, although it is a lustre and I have to freshen it up throughout the day. I will repurchase this because with this being so complexion enhancing, I only need this and a little mascara to look pulled together in no time.
I received a sample of "M" sometime in August and I knew that I would be purchasing this for Fall/Winter. I can detect every note in this fragrance, the marshmallow is the dominant note, but the tiare flower is there as well as the amber. "M" is sweet, but not overly so, to me anyway, and it seems as though it will be perfect to wear under heavier clothing, although I couldn't wait and I'm already using it! ;)
Like the reviewer below, I carry this compact in my purse and no matter what fragrance I have on I sometimes put a little of this below my ears and on my wrists and it really perks me up!
I'm a little disappointed in this one. I purchased the eau de toilette and the body cream. I mostly get the caramel scent from this, which is a very nice caramel but I would like to get a little more from the other notes that was supposed to be in this. However, it is a rather long lasting fragrance, you could just do two spritzes and you will smell it for most of the day, and the body cream can stand alone. Will probably get another body cream tho, because it makes my skin feel velvety soft.
I bought this last summer based on reviews because I like a neutral eye. I'm glad this works for so many, but on me all of the colors looked chalky exept for the brownish-sparkly one. I was dissapointed so I tossed it.
I bought six of the 2 oz.size at B&BW's annual sale. I really like this lotion because it is oily but it sinks right in and leaves my skin moisturized and luminous. I wish the scent was a bit lighter though, it kinda smells like "Mr. Bubble" bubble bath that my mom used to buy and bathe me in when I was a kid.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
lili1968 8/29/2007 5:44:00 PM
I went into CVS to pick up some deodorant, but I always go to the makeup section to see if there's anything new. When I saw this, I thought to myself "Dream Matte has a powder"? I looked through the shades to see if one came close to my complexion, (NW43/NW45) and to my surprise there were two shades for dark. The one I chose was Hazelnut (Dark 2-3). Well, it happens to be a perfect match for me. The coverage is sheer to medium and it leaves my face looking glowy, probably due to very microscopic shimmers I can see by looking close at the powder, but you don't see shimmers once it is applied. It feels very light on, it blended very well, and it did not cake on me or look ashy, just natural and glowing. Dare I say I like this better than Studio Fix? I'm kinda leaning in that direction;) I paid only $4.99 for it with my CVS card but the regular price is $7.99. I really hope Maybelline keeps this around for a while because this one's a winner.
