Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Long-Wearing Cream Eyeshadow in Velvet Plum

Fabulous formula in a fabulous color. Lasts as long as it claims to, and is flattering on friends I've lent it to of all complexions. Thankfully, I'm nowhere close to finishing it up (though I use it a few times a week and got it almost a year ago), but once I do, I'd happily buy another pot. I think it's reasonably priced for the quality.
Got this recently because I wanted to try a new conditioner and nothing was really doing anything for my hair. I'm a sucker for moisturizing products and I really like Pantene now and then, so I decided to give their new Expert Collection a go. I am so glad I did! My hair that, even with masks, has felt dry and lifeless for months (it's been a long winter!) is soft, silky and shiny without a frizzy hair in sight. If you see this in your local drugstore, I would certainly give it a try. For me, it's a total keeper and a lifesaver for weather-weary hair.
Received this as a gift and boy am I glad I did! To be honest, I probably wouldn't have bought it on my own as I'm typically not an eyeshadow person. However, this is such a beautiful, wearable shade with just the right amount of kick (provided by the shimmer) that I might get more when I run out! Even though I don't use primer I've never had a problem with staying power. Perfect for a natural look taken up a little notch.
Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase Paste in Fair

Cute packaging AND a good product to match it is always nice. My only complaint is that I tried to use this on the rest of my face (as opposed to just my eyes) and though the coverage is great, it was a little too bright...but that is after all one of the selling points; it's a brightening concealer. Overall, great formula and texture in a cute little pot. I wouldn't say no to seconds.
The lovely packaging and super cool range of shades are what first attracted me to this lipstick. I wanted to like it, I really did. I gave it a chance...and soon realized that the formula was just okay, and the color itself looked almost like I painted it on. I realize that that is what some people are looking for, and maybe it's because I purchased one of the darker shades, but this lipstick just didn't do it for me.
I just recently repurchased this product. When I first got it, I didn't really use blush, and when I started out it was with bronzer. Bronzer ended up doing more harm than good because of my very fair skin, so I looked for something that could give me a warm glow without any sign of an Oompa Loompa. This is it! I can easily contour my cheeks without paying much attention to which side I'm brushing in. It also works nicely as a shimmer for your décolletage and a highlighter for your brow bone.
Lipstick -Guerlain - Rouge G De Guerlain - All Colors

Such a fabulous lipstick. I am one to sing the praises of drugstore makeup but lips are obviously not the place to skimp. This lipstick is the creamiest, most hq formula I have come across, and it lasts me a few months of daily wear. True, gorgeous shades that I always get compliments on--and the packaging alone is worth the kinda high price tag. If you're looking for a truly fabulous lipstick in look and feel, look no further. Money well spent.
On my second pencil and planning to buy a third when I run out! Fairly priced for a dept. store brand, and I really care about how my brows look. With a little gel afterward, this pencil gives me months before I truly have to go back and have my brows waxed. A miracle worker for sparse brown brows you wish were more shapely. The only caveat is you can't go too heavy-handed because it is a very rich, dark pigment that can look cartoony if you're not careful...BUT it's much more waxy than creamy so it's hard to mess up. Plus, it really stays put! I always need makeup remover to get it off.
Conditioner -Organix - Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner
lilahtov1 8/14/2012 10:52:00 PM
I bought this conditioner thinking it would be perfect for my chemically-treated hair...I had just gotten a keratin treatment. Does Organix know that Brazilian straightening and keratin treatments are VERY different? I don't think so...the most important thing to me in a conditioner is that is does just that--conditions!! My hair was dry and brittle after using this just once. I usually love Organix products, but this formula with good intentions is a total miss. Skip it.
My HG foundation by far!! I mean, I go on Amazon and buy it because I have to now that it's been whisked out of drugstores near me. I nearly cried. This has been my favorite foundation for over two years--clearly it performs long term! My sensitive skin has always responded well to Almay products, but this foundation is far and away the best on offer. You can find a shade that matches, or go slightly darker (like I do) and still look natural. This foundation gives a dewy (not shiny!) glow with pretty good, semi-buildable coverage that lasts me throughout hot and cold days. Love, love love!!
BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
lilahtov1 8/14/2012 10:46:00 PM
Worth a try if you want sheer, glowy coverage. I mean sheer. This BB cream is just okay...I agree with others in that it acts more like a tinted moisturizer than anything else. I have sensitive combo skin and this didn't make my skin appear greasy or oily...but that's with nothing on top or underneath. I tend to wear sunscreen every day under my makeup and coupled with the BB cream my skin was very dewy, bordering on shiny. Since this product can't play nice with another, I don't think I'll repurchase.
Styling Products -L'anza - Anti Aging Neem Plant Silk Serum
lilahtov1 8/14/2012 10:42:00 PM
I first heard about this product at my hair salon. My stylist used it to add shine and last to my blowout, and I begged her to tell me what she used because it smelled SO AMAZING!! I apply it with my hands and just want to smell them afterwards. A little goes a long way--that being said, despite it being an oil-based product, it hasn't made my hair oily or greasy in look or feel. What a miracle! Buy it on Amazon if you don't want to shell out salon prices...that's what I did. Also, the cap twists so that when you travel there's no chance of leakage.
Shampoo -Organix - Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo
lilahtov1 8/14/2012 10:38:00 PM
I have fine, long, chemically-treated hair and a sensitive nose. This shampoo pleased both! It smells fantastic and unusual without being perfumey or overpowering, and easily works into a lush lather in the shower. I'm on my third bottle and plan to repurchase despite it being on the higher end of the drugstore brand price range. At my local pharmacy it cost me $8.99.
