Polishes -OPI - Girls Just Want To Play Holiday 08
lilaclufy19 11/10/2009 8:34:00 PM
GJWTP is a very bright, summery red, sort of strange considering that it came out with the Christmas collection last year. Regardless, this polish is one of the better OPIs I've tried. It's essentially a one-coater, perhaps two for the thumb. When paired with Seche Vite, this stuff shines like a brand-spanking new red motorcycle. I would repurchase this in an instant!

Polishes -Sinful - I Love You
lilaclufy19 11/10/2009 8:30:00 PM
4 COATER! Ugh. Drying time on this baby averages about an hour and a half. The formula is thick and goopy, as is customary with Sinfuls. As with glitters, this stuff is impossible to remove (although not nearly as bad as full-blown glitters like Nail Junkie). Although I absolutely adore the colour, I wouldn't repurchase.

Polishes -Sinful - Nail Junkie
lilaclufy19 11/10/2009 8:25:00 PM
Ugh, why does Sinful do this to me? They offer the best colour selection, hands down. No brand can match Sinful in their range of wacky, weird shades. But the formula is so terrible! Not only do all of them take forever to dry, but they're multi-coaters and chip like nothing else. Alas, this is the case with Nail Junkie. This is a pretty decent dupe of CG's Atlantis, although NJ is much sheerer and slightly greener-toned. It took me 3 coats to achieve bottle opacity, and then several hours of drying time for this stuff to settle. The problem, however, arises when one tries to remove this stuff. Although it chips easily, IT WON'T COME OFF with nail polish remover! I must have sat for a good half hour or so, scraping until my nails were raw. All glitters tend to be difficult to remove, but with three thick layers, this stuff takes more than average effort to remove. In short, I highly doubt I'll repurchase. The colour is wonderful, yes, but requires too much effort to work properly, especially when my average manicure lasts 2 days!

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Craze in Shield [231]
lilaclufy19 11/10/2009 8:18:00 PM
I'm in love! This could well be my favourite polish of all time. The colour is so unique! I'm usually more inclined to purchase cremes, but some shimmers have been pleasantly surprising me lately. Shield is a two-coater, with decent wear when paired with Seche Vite. I'd definitely recommend this and all other shades within the Craze line. I'm so-so on the other Wet n' Wild nail polishes, but this one is a must!

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Craze in Morbid
lilaclufy19 11/10/2009 8:13:00 PM
This stuff is great, considering the price and brand. I'm not a huge fan of drugstore polishes, but this line is amazing! I own two shades (Morbid and Shield) and both are of amazing quality. It took only 2 coats to achieve bottle opacity with this, and it wears well when paired with a decent topcoat. I'd repurchase!

Polishes -Sinful - San Francisco
lilaclufy19 11/10/2009 8:10:00 PM
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. On the one hand, the color is gorgeous and has decent longetivity. It's not the most unique of shades, however, and takes 3 COATS to achieve bottle opacity. This wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that Sinfuls tend to be ridiculously thick, and with more layers comes more goop.To top it off, this stuff undergoes serious shrinkage when sealed with Seche Vite (which also happens to be super thick). Overall, I think I'd pass on this one.I'd advise you ladies to get Sally Hansen's Emerald City, which is essentially the same shade but in better quality.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe Eyeshadow - Shag
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 11:13:00 PM
UD Shag = UD Baked. Essentially the same eyeshadow. Great quality product, but it seems like I've seen it so many times before. Not the most original shade out there. I'll use mine up completely, but I doubt I'd repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe eyeshadow - Graffiti
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 11:09:00 PM
Graffiti is a bit intimidating to me, to be honest. I mean, how difficult is it to get away with wearing bright green eyeshadow? This shade is definitely not for the faint of heart. That being said, this shadow is of excellent quality (great texture, pigmentation, wear, etc.) but I'm just not sure how often I'll reach for it. In the month I've had it, I've used it all of one time. Not sure this one was worth the money.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe Eyeshadow - Honey
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 11:05:00 PM
Pros: Pigmentation, texture, durability. Cons: Is bright yellow gold eyeshadow really wearable? That's as concise as I can be.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe Eyeshadow - Fishnet
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 11:02:00 PM
Great color, a dead ringer for MAC's Stars and Rockets (as has been stated several times). Pigmentation is unbelievable, and this stuff lasts all day with TFSI or UDPP. My only complaint - Fishnet isn't the most wearable shade. I usually incorporate this into a neutral eye to give a pop of color, but I'd never dream of using it in combination with other purples/pinks. I think that'd border on stage/hooker make-up. So, for this reason, I highly doubt I'd repurchase.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 10:57:00 PM
This stuff is identical to the original Voluminous. I find absolutely no difference, not even in the formula's pigmentation. Looks as black as the regular black stuff. Here's my review for the original Voluminous: I really liked this mascara, since it's probably one of the best I've ever used. It actually does what it states on the tube, which, in the cosmetics industry, is rare. It does flake though, which is a hassle and looks rather unattractive. It is great for day wear, but if you like to spend long nights out on the town, you might want to chose something longer-lasting with less product fallout. Overall, though, great for the average woman.

Polishes -Sinful - Show Me the Way
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 10:25:00 PM
SMTW is a beautiful mossy green with gold iridescence. Not the most exciting or original shade out there, but pleasant enough. It wears like iron (an entire week without a single chip, absolutely unheard of for me!) but is a 4-coater, and takes an eternity to dry, as others have mentioned. While I can put up with these minor flaws, my big issue with this polish is that it STAINS. Yes, even after 3 weeks of having removed this, my nails are still stained green. Consequently, I have to keep my nails constantly manicured (no nakey nails for me!) I have a feeling that another of Sinful's greens, San Francisco, suffers the same fallacy. Anyway, staining aside, this polish really is amazing, and for a measly $1.99, I'll keep putting up with stained nails.

Polishes -OPI - Curry Up Don't Be Late
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 10:19:00 PM
This is a 3-coater for me (which I usually dislike), but for such a beatiful shade, I'll grudgingly wait the extra drying time! CUDBL is a light gold, slightly more yellow-based than other golds out there. It looks beautiful as a manicure with accent purple designs (a royal purple is my favorite to accompany it). Wears well, like all other OPIs. I'd repurchase if that were ever necessary.

Polishes -OPI - Moon Over Mumbai
lilaclufy19 9/17/2009 10:16:00 PM
Although Moon Over Mumbai is a little too sheer for my liking (3 coats and still the tips are semi-translucent), it is a beautiful light white/grey that is a definite staple in any nail freak's collection. This polish wears well (4 to 5 days without any chipping) but is a little dull for my personal preference. However, for those who are more conservative, this is a perfect selection for any work-related event. Would repurchase!
