Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
liagibba 5/28/2011 10:37:00 PM
I've been using Everyday Minerals for about 2 years now and I love them! I mix the foundation powder with my spf moisturizer du jour (Biore, for now) and make a tinted moisturizer. I have used it with a kabuki brush over the moisturizer in the past, but I think the coverage is better as a tinted moisturizer. Definitely a great price at $12 for the big one, and they have lots and lots of shades to get a perfect match. Everyday Minerals is great overall and the semi-matte foundation is good for light but effective skin coverage.
This is my go-to CO-wash conditioner. I love the way it smells and the way it makes my scalp literally tingle. It's even better when mixed with honey. When I oil my hair overnight, this is the most effective cleanser. My hair is super soft and super clean. I also only have to wash 3 days a week, so it helps save water. I have a friend who uses the matching shampoo and loves it as well. Only $4/bottle and last quite a while.
I love this soap!! I was looking for a replacement for PanOxyl face wash b/c it was bleaching all my towels and shirts. Plus, PanOxyl is $8. This soap is $2.50 for 2 bars that of course last a LONG time. I started using this about 6 months ago and I'm halfway through my 1st bar. I really love that it gets my skin clean and that it uses tea tree oil. I would presume that people with bacne would benefit from using this on the shower. Go get some!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Hemp lip conditioner (stick)

I bought this as part of The Body Shop's 4/20 promotion for 4 for $20 on hemp products. The only thing that I wish this lip conditioner had is an SPF. Other than that it really helps soften my lips and it tastes good, kinda of like early grey tea. I really enjoy it :)
I've read that avocado oil is one of the few oils that actually penetrate the hair shaft, along with coconut and olive oils. I usually combine this with castor oil for an overnight scalp oiling, but it's wonderful alone for general softness. I always CO-wash to get oils out the next morning, and I've had great results across the board. This is also amazing combined with pure shea butter and coconut oil as a skin moisturizer.
I got this on 4/20 as part of The Body Shop's 4 for $20 Hemp product promotion. I had never smelled these products before, but I could not pass up the good deal. I ended up getting 3 of these and giving away one of them. The scent is... musky, slightly masculine, and as a friend told me "medicinal." I'm not a HUGE fan of it, but it does make my skin VERY soft and moisturized all day. It's definitely taken some getting used to, but overall I like it. If you love the smell of hemp products, give this a try.
I love love love using coconut oil on my hair! About 2-3 times a week, I'll apply a small amount (about 2 fingernails) to the ends. I then bun or braid my hair and leave it in overnight. The key to getting ANY oil out of hair is conditioner. I CO-wash exclusively, but I'm sure that using any non-cone conditioner after shampooing would be sufficient as well.I also put about one fingernail size to the ends before blow drying (on medium heat) and end up with soft, shiny hair all day.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard as Nails Polish (Clear)

This is definitely the best clear nail polish I've used. It really does what it says it will. My nails have never been stronger :)
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - PanOxyl 10% Foaming Face Wash

I can't believe there isn't a review for this yet... Alright, so this is PanOxyl's Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Foaming Acne Wash. I like using BP into my face routine, but I don't like what it does to my clothes and pillowcases. I started using this and it has done wonders for my skin. I'm now 29 years old and I have finally found a routine that works for me. I've tried all kinds of things, including ProActiv, with no good long lasting results. This face wash cleanses my face without any drying effects, and I usually add about a teaspoon of white sugar to make it an effective scrub. My skin is very resistant, so this may not be a good idea if you have sensitive skin. I follow the scrub with a Alpha Hydrox 10% Enhanced Lotion. This wash costs about $9 at Walgreen's and last for months since a very small amount is plenty for each wash.
Conditioner -Jason Natural Cosmetics - extra rich biotin conditioner

I love this stuff. I have seen a dramatic change in the softness of my hair since using this conditioner for about 2 months. I love the natural ingredients and the scent is not overpowering. I disapates after drying anyway. Will purchase again.
First of all, I love the smell of Tea Tree Oil. There, I said it. Secondly, I love what it does for my skin! I have been reading all over about the benefits of straight TTO on blemishes and finally decided to get a bottle for myself. Mine is Now Organics from iherb.com, and it's great. Dries up pesky zits in a matter of hours and clears up the sinuses. I recommend to anyone :)
Cleansers -Oxy - Chill Factor BP 10 percent face wash
liagibba 2/16/2008 12:47:00 AM
I pretty much only tried this stuff b/c I can't seem to find the normal Oxy 10 BP Cleanser at my regular Walgreen's or Freddies. No matter, I bought it after reading MUA reviews. I'd been going around in circles w/ cleansers and I just couldn't find anything that cleansed well and kept the breakouts away. I like BP, but my skin wasn't reacting well to BP gels (my latest attempt was Dan's Regimen gel, I've also tried ProActiv). I decided that I needed BP in the routine, but not something that had to stay on my skin. So, I found this at Freddies and gave it a shot. So glad I did! It cleans my skin well, removes makeup effectively, and doesn't dry me out. I like the tingly feeling from the menthol. I think I may just keep using this instead of the regular non-Chill Factor since it's working so well.
I really love this product. It's definitely my favorite straightening treatment so far. I like that it doesn't dry out my hair despite the fact that I flat iron almost everyday. I don't mind the scent - it's a little plastic, but it's definitely a salon-ish smell, and that makes me happy. Will definitely repurchase :)
I just wrote a review for the original mint flavor, but I thought I'd add another rave review for the cherry flavor, as well. This stuff is soooo yummy and soothing, and the cherry-mint flavor is nice and light. This balm is very moisturizing and still tingles after many applications :)

I love this stuff! I've been using it for probably 5 years now and I'll never use anything else (unless it's discontinued, which would be very unfortunate). I was having a hard time finding it in stores for a while, so I got a few tubes online. But then I discovered that it's sold at the nearest Fred Meyer to me! I bought 3 tubes immediately and am so happy. After all these years, it STILL tingles every single time I apply it. Very recommended :)
