Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Soft Coeur Massage Bar (The Honeymooner)

I really like this expensive little heart. Quite chocolately but delicious nonetheless. Moisturizing and indulgent. Only wish it was a bit larger for the price. I don't love the chocolate center, but it doesn't necessarily bother me until chocolate pieces start falling all over me and the bathroom. Is chocolate good for your skin? Doesn't seem to be bad for it. I tend to rub in what I can then toss the rest. Hasn't stained my white robe or clothes yet. I'd recommend giving this little guy a try and I'd definitely repurchase. With daily use I'd say it lasts 3 weeks to a month if your lucky.

Blush -Unlisted Brand - RMS Beauty - Muse

I love this blush. It's a beautiful color. Definitely a subtle color, but for sure noticeable in a good way. I have fair skin, but I find it still looks great during summer after I've had a little extra sun on my face. It does not make you look flushed like most other blushes, but rather just a hint of soft natural color so it is quite different than blushes I normally buy. However, I agree that it can be quite sticky, which does attract hair, etc. The look is so beautiful though that I don't really mind in the end. It is not a color I would use on my lips, but others may like it. One of my favorite, different and more natural looking blushes. I highly recommend it.

Highlighters -Unlisted Brand - RMS- Living Luminizer
rated 5 of 5

AMAZING!! My favorite product in the RMS line. The best luminizer I've ever tried. No sparkles at all, just a beautiful subtle glow - like you're glowing from within! None of RMS products last that long unfortunately, but I feel like this is the price you pay for a more natural product. I've never used a luminizer/highlighter that lasted very long anyways. Truly one of my favorite makeup products of all time. A great thing to mix with or use alone on nose, cheek bones, brow bones, inner eye corners, etc. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Concealers -Unlisted Brand - RMS Beauty 'Un Cover-Up
rated 4 of 5

I like this concealer very much, but I have to admit that I find myself trying others when I run out. The thing is it has a tendency to crease heavily under the eyes. So I find myself constantly patting under there to make sure I don't have concealer creases, which in turn eventually rubs it all off and I have to reapply. Rose Marie says that it's all in the application- really getting it into the skin. I just ordered more of this in 22 and I'll have to experiment with really getting it in there to see if this helps at all. I think the coverage and consistency is quite lovely. It's very, very natural looking which is part of the appeal for me personally. You look like you might not be wearing any makeup. Personally I have not had any of the flaking or oily issues as others and I have combination skin. I like the feel, the ingredients, the color and the overall look of my face after I put it on. I agree with one reviewer that it does not have long lasting power, but it does stay put for a few hours if you don't touch your face constantly like I do. If somehow that and the creasing issue could be addressed, this would be a 5 star product for me.

This is a 5 star product! The color is great and has the ability to go sheer or intense. I have not used it as a lip color, only cheek. It's fun, fresh, young and great on lighter skin tones. I love the packaging of RMS products as they are so small and compact that you can fit them anywhere. A stellar product that I would highly recommend. One of my all time favorite blushes.

Skincare - Face -Jurlique - Herbal Recovery Gel
rated 2 of 5
lgans1 6/17/2010 11:58:00 PM

Received this gel as part of the balancing travel kit. It's been about two and a half, maybe even three weeks now and I still have yet to notice anything. I'm wondering if it's contributing to the minor breakout on my forehead? What exactly is this gel supposed to do again? Not a fan of the stickyness either. For a moisturizing/recovery gel I'm not quite sure why it makes the skin feel the way it does after application. I would not purchase a full sized version of this.

Treatments -Desert Essence - Tea Tree Oil (100% Pure Australian)
rated 4 of 5
lgans1 6/19/2009 10:54:00 AM

Recently I've given up on almost all conventional beauty treatments and have been sticking to natural things and organic when possible. I don't even wash my face with soap any more! only coconut or jojoba oils. Tree tree oil has been a miracle product for me! Although I wish I knew more about where and how Desert Essence gets their TTO, it's the one I can find most easily and so I use it most often. Always dilute it before putting on your face (I just get a Qtip wet and then add some drops of TTO). When I put this on my face at night, there is a very noticeable difference in whatever bump or red spot was on my face. It's a real gem in terms of a natural, chemical free way to treat acne and pimples. And of course like everyone else says you can put it on literally everything. I highly recommend having a bottle around always

No 2 is the best all around color in my opinion. i was using No 1 until a woman suggested i try No 2 and WOW what a difference. i still wish it lasted longer. it seems like you get a good hour or two and then it's gone. i can't help but love it though. i bought No 2 for a friend and she said the same thing. honestly, try No 2!!

Lip Treatments -By Terry - Baume de Rose
rated 3 of 5
lgans1 10/27/2008 11:31:00 PM

I'm on the fence about this product. I purchased the baume in the tube not the pot and the top completely came off (i mean it literally came unglued!) and now half is all over the bottom of my purse. besides that mess, i'm not so sure about the fragrance and taste of this stuff. It is slightly offensive and makes me feel like i'm eating toxic makeup. Having said that, however, i really love the way it looks on my lips. i'll keep it and use what's left for that reason alone. i would probably not purchase this again.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Pure Vitamin E Oil
rated 3 of 5
lgans1 10/27/2008 11:10:00 PM

Great for lips and to slather all over the body. Generally only use it on my face during a bath - especially when I'm out of real facial masks - because it's a great moisture punch, even for oily skin. Just massage in during bath and wipe off extra after a bath and don't use anything else on skin. It helped my dry eye extravaganza I had recently when Cle de Peau Beaute eye cream made me eyes literally start peeling! Not the best stuff in the world, but I definitely like having it around at all times. I also recall Lauren Hutton saying in an article that she slathers pure vitamin e oil on her face once a week and that's the key to her youthful skin...

Treatments (Eye) -Cle de Peau - Baume Contour De Yeux
rated 1 of 5
lgans1 9/22/2008 2:12:00 PM

I don't even know where to begin. I was talked into purchasing this from Barney's (damn those salespeople). I had reservations about it from the beginning, but was promised wonderful things. I hate the smell, but thought I could deal with it if it worked for me. Right now I am holding back tears because under both eyes is peeling and flaking so badly I can't even wear concealer to try and cover the whole mess up. It's as if it sucked the little moisture I had right out from under my eyes. I am marching my ass right back there tomorrow and demanding a full refund for this and the Cle de Peau concealer and blush. I have heard and read so many wonderful things about this brand and the price should warrant decent products, but they are definitely not for me. I know the salesman said it was supposed to gently "exfoliate" and get rid of the dryness but it has so seriously exacerbated the dryness under my eyes that i am frantically trying to figure out what use next (any suggestions are welcome!!!). If you are set on trying this product they make a very ample sample size that I would suggest grabbing before purchasing (I paid about $130 before Chicago's lovely 11% tax). I would not repurchase or purchase anything else from this line unfortunately.

Treatments -Peter Thomas Roth - AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel
rated 3 of 5
lgans1 6/29/2008 12:47:00 PM

I'm on the fence about this product. I like the way it stings when I put it on a pimple (I know that sounds terrible, but I won't lie). I do think it helps somewhat to reduce my blemishes or at least help them clear faster. When I put this on at night, my skin feels so oily in the morning for some reason. If I use it too often, like every day, it dries out my skin. I'm having a hard time finding a balance with this product, but since I don't have anything else to put on my pimples at the moment I will continue to use it. I probably would not purchase again though. I'm also thinking this product might work best when used in conjunction with other PTR products, but who knows.

Treatments (Eye) -La Mer - Eye Concentrate
rated 4 of 5
lgans1 6/24/2008 4:14:00 PM

This is the only La Mer product besides the SPF fluid tint that I like. It smells great, surprisingly, and clean. It moisturizes wonderfully and I find myself putting it on as many times a day as I can when I have it. I really like it, but I'm not calling it my favorite yet. Still searching for the perfect eye cream. I think I'm biased towards La Mer too because I'm so disappointed with all of their other products - I keep thinking there's something wrong with this one too!

Toners -La Mer - The Tonic
rated 2 of 5
lgans1 6/24/2008 4:06:00 PM

Nothing special. Like almost all La Mer products, I don't like the smell. It doesn't feel clean or even that great on my face. I gave it 2 lippies not one only because I don't absolutely hate it. Not worth trying, I wouldn't recommend.

Foundations -La Mer - the SPF Fluid Tint
rated 4 of 5
lgans1 6/24/2008 3:54:00 PM

Out of all the La Mer products I've tried, this is the only one I like besides their new eye creme. I will admit, I've become a bit addicted to it. I don't like foundation in general (except for Armani or By Terry) so this was the perfect amount of tint to cover any slight discoloration and just to make my face look a little brighter and more even. I stopped using it recently because I have been breaking out and thought it was the culprit - however, my face is the same and I've concluded that my birth control is to blame for most of my issues. I really like this product - the consistency, color, and it doesn't smell as bad as most La Mer products. I would recommend giving it a try. It feels cleaner than Laura Mercier, Benefit or any other SPF/tint I've tried.
