I've tried this and Toppik and I like this better, even though some folks say it's the same product. This one seems to 'stick' better to my scalp. I have a healing incision where my hair fell out and this covers it well, plus some thinning at my temples and crown. Age, oh well. I will definitely repurchase.

I'll take Spoiled Show Me Some Skin or Essie Fiji over this any day for a chic pale manicure. This has an ashy undertone that might work for pale, cool-toned girls but not for me. Mannequin hands? Yes, as in, mannequins are dead and so look my hands with this color on.

Concealers -Kevyn Aucoin - The Sensual Skin Enhancer

I don't know why this is listed only as a concealer and not as a foundation, because that's it's best use as far as I'm concerned. Mix it with a blob of primer, moisturizer or luminizer and you get absolutely natural looking, satiny skin. It's so flexible, you can make it sheer or medium or even full coverage, but I find the last too cakey looking. That's why I don't like it as a concealer, even thinned out. Somehow it dries a bit more under my eyes, but all over the face & neck, it's absolutely fantastic. SX08 for NC35-ish slightly olive skin. It has a definite golden tone, which matches my skin perfectly. Will rebuy forever :-)

Highlighters -NARS - Illuminator in Laguna

I have the Orgasm Illuminator, which is great for a blush-type glow. Got this one because I'm a bronzer/highlighter junkie and OMG, it's wonderful. NC35-ish, dry skin. A few little drops and it adds a dewy, warm glow, no blush needed to look alive and healthy. Sometimes I'll put a little cream blush over it but rarely. Highly recommended when you're in a hurry. Going on vaca and taking only this one!

I mix this with KA SSE sx08 to thin it and it creates a beautiful slightly satiny finish. It's perfect.

It works. Period. Keeps makeup on and fresh looking much longer, with the very slightest 'real skin' sheen. Amazing stuff. I'm trying the Bridal version next because Goss loves it, but would buy this again in a heartbeat

Foundations -Kevyn Aucoin - Sensual Skin Enhancer Shades

EDIT: I upgraded this to a 5 because I now know how to use it - just mix with moisturizer, luminizer or primer and spread it on for a flawless finish every time. Get sheer to full coverage as you need it!. OLD: First, when applied properly it gives a truly flawless but seemingly budgeproof canvas. SX08 seems a very good match for my medium warm complexion. I cannot imagine using this full strength - right now I mix a tiny dab of it with moisturizer and make a TM out of it. But for the cons: It is dry textured, so even mixed with moisturizer it can be too matte. A natural cream with a little oil in it works best for me so far. Also it sets quickly so you have to work and blend it very fast. A damp sponge blotted over it after seems to smooth things out. But on balance it's a lot of work when I'm used to a fast process in the morning. I'd say the biggest advantage of it over other foundations is the staying power while so lightweight it gives great coverage - so for an evening out, this would be my choice. But if I'd never tried it would I be less happy? No, I don't think so.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Rouge Dior Nude 459- Charnelle

This is a fabulous sophisticated nude for pigmented lips and medium complexion. Looks slightly rosy nude in the tube, goes on creamy and looks best with a nude pencil. Very, very polished looking. Doesn't last long, so I took off a lippie.

Mascara -Flirt - Big Flirt Thickening Mascara

OMG, this mascara is fabulous. Thick, long, fanned out lashes in one or two coats. Not clumpy or flaky. So easy, inexpensive and it lasts! Props also for their Agent Lash, the two-formulas-in-one lengthening plus thickening for when you have more time. But I'll keep buying this one. Mine is thick and creamy, not thin and runny at all.

It's a perfect raspberry pink creme - two coats, no streaks, rich but not screaming color. The first berry tone I've loved. One off because I wish it was a little jelly-ish, but as a creme it deserves a 5.

It's a very dark, blackish blurple - a purple with a sharp edge, rather than a soft one. I love it. Vamp with a twist.

Ugh. The color is nothing special on the nail - purple/black base with tiny silverish shimmer. Prettier in the bottle. Add a gummy thick formula and it's a fail for me.

Beautiful juicy tangerine orange - not chalky or pastel like Orly Tangerine, not neon either. Good in 2 coats, perfect in 3. Slightly jelly-ish and looks great paired with hot pink.

Easy glamour, that sums it up. Took off one lippie because I find it peels faster than most polishes. Well worth the $ otherwise.

What a fabulous color! Dark, complex, yet neutral. Not toooo dark, not a vamp. It's a greyed purple with a touch of very subtle pinkish shimmer. Formula is dreamy - so easy to apply, self-leveling, creamy & glossy. Almost a 1-coater and a very unique color. Not a dupe for Zoya Kelly at all, which is a straight creme bluish grey. This is softer, and goes with everything. Love it.
